Booked a car thinking I was getting a deal. Read review and decided to cancel. Reservation was fully refundable. I called the number on the reservation confirmation 1 786 909 6133. This was the only number on the reservation. They said they were not responsible for refunds. Super rude. Did not direct me else where and hung up after saying he couldn’t help me. Thankfully it was only $12 but this place is certainly a scam. Stay away.

After waiting nearly an hour for a shuttle to get me from the airport after calling multiple times, I ended up having to Uber to the rental place. Having booked the car in advance, I was shocked at all the additional fees required of me during pickup - over $200 of fees. I decided to return the car early (understanding there would be no partial refund regarding the rental itself) and called 6 AM to see if I could get my one-way fee back for the service I would not be using. I was told it would absolutely be no problem. When I arrived to drop off the car at 8AM, I was told that they could not do it for me as a supervisor would not be in until 9AM. I waited until nine, still no supervisor. After calling the service line 11 times someone finally picked up and said that I did not have to worry or wait around, they would call me in an hour when the one-way fee refund was taken care of. This call never came. I called back multiple times around 3PM and 4 PM and was told they could not do it as the person who is supervising was still in a meeting – the same excuse they gave me every other time I had called. Once I called back and let them know that I would like to remain on the phone until this was taken care of, they processed the refund in less than 2 minutes without even involving said supervisor, leaving me to believe they could have done this at any time. I will absolutely NEVER be using this place again. It has also now been many days since the return and I have not been refunded the $250 holding fee either. Can’t wait to call and be given the runaround on that too.
Also, they do not check their voicemail, or ever call back. Three separate occasions where I called in need of assistance took me 16, 11, & 12 attempted calls before anyone picked up the phone.

the flight was late they canceled my reservation, they agreed to give me the vehicle but! I have to pay an extra $92 for coverage.I refuse to take the vehicle. I wasted my two-hour. not even think about renting a car from them.

Terrible. Charged me for gps twice and refused to give a refund. I had an unfortunate situation causing a flat tire the first rental day. Green motion did not answer calls. We seniors were left on the side of the ride for close to 5 hours in a foreign country. Unable to get a recovery so taxied to next destination. Green motion charged us for all 4 days of rental refusing to reimburse. Buyer beware. In addition, rental cars was used as a third party which offered little to no support.

I reserved a vehicle a week in advance.
Fully Paid
When I went to pick up the vehicle there was a discrepancy in the reservation despite the fact that the reservation was approved and paid in full.
The service attendant was rude and sarcastic.
I was willing to work with them to resolve the issue and move along, but for some reason I was given a hard time.
I was told I would have to reserve a vehicle from start and lose my initial reservation.
I thought a simple adjustment in the paperwork would be enough, but he insisted that I would have to rent another vehicle, which was more expensive than the one I originally reserved.
I was told that I could not take the car I initially reserved because it was already rented out, BY ME mind you.
The representative was unwilling to work with me to resolve this issue and actually said that there were many other rental services nearby that might be cheaper and that I should try instead.
Now I’m not saying how he should do his job, but in my experience in retail management I would never let a customer walk out without the service they already paid for.
He basically said “too bad, there’s nothing else we can do.
So in the end I walked out of the “Green Motion” rental office without the car that I already paid for and had to go to another company and rent a vehicle.
Do your self a favor……. NEVER RENT A VEHICLE FROM GREEN MOTION!!!!!!
They are rude and do not care for their customer service skills.
Also keep in mind that this Rental service is not located at the airport as deceivingly suggested on their website.
I had to take a shuttle to their office from the airport and then take a shuttle back due to their own negligence.
I lost over 2 hours of my vacation time with absolutely no compensation whatsoever.
My flight from NJ was actually shorter than the time I lost with Green Motion.
Totally useless on every level.

If I could give a Zero I would. SCAAAAMMMM ALERT!!! I prepaid for a vehicle on booking.com. I declined insurance coverage, as I always do, because my insurance covers a rental car as if it were my own car. I have very comprehensive coverage. My total for 4 days was $17.72 including taxes and fees. I thought there was some great promotion or something going on, and I was lucky enough to find such a deal! I was given a voucher with specific instructions on what was needed when I arrived at the rental car counter, which was a form of ID, a credit card, and the rental car voucher. When I arrived in Miami, I was given very specific instructions on where to get the shuttle to the rental car facility and given a number to contact with questions. All seemed great until we had to wait for the shuttle to take us to the rental car location. We waited for over 30 minutes for the shuttle. We called the number given for Green Motion and no one ever answered the call. Finally a shuttle arrived. We got the Green Motion and there was only 1 person working for a lengthy line. Immediately, I got a sense that this was a stressful process, as the party at the counter were upset and confused. There was a heated discussion with the gal working the counter. After some time, the issue must have got worked out as the party left the counter. The next party moved up to the counter. Again, the party became upset and an argument took place. After some time, this party left without getting a car. As the next guest went up to the counter, I could hear the conversation taking place. This party was told that they needed to provide the insurance declartation. If they could not provide the declaration, then, they would need to purchase the coverage offered my Green Motion. The gal at the counter explained that she needed to verify that the coverages were enough rent the vehicle. I immediatley went to my insurance app and pulled up my declaration and veirfied that my coverages were high enough to meet Green Motions standard. Everything look good on my end. The party in the meantime, could not find their declaration and refused Green Motion's coverage and walked away without a car. The next party had a similar insurance issue. He chose to purchase the Green Motion Coverage, but was very upset at the process. After 2 more parites, I was up to the counter. I had everything that I thought I would need. I have my vouchure for my prepaid vehicle, I had multiple forms of ID, a credit card and my insurance declaration. As I am going through the process the gal at the counter is telling my that I need to pay for Green Motion's coverage. I told her that I declined the coverage and plan to use my own. She asked for my declaration (which had higher covereage amounts than Green Motion requiered). She looked at my declaration and told me that they will not accept my insurance with American Family. I was in shock. She told me that I needed to go the Green Motion site to view what insurance was accepted before I booked the car with Booking.com. The WHOLE POINT of booking with booking.com is to save the multiple steps of going to multiple sites to book a vehicle!!!!!!! She then told me that Booking.com was to blame for not posting the Insurace requirements on thier site. So Now I had to pay over an additional $100 in fees and coverages to continue with my prepaid vehicle. This amounts to 7x the amount that was supposed to be my total. I walked out never to return feeling that Green Motion scammed me out of $17, plus the uber ride back to the on airport property rental car center. Here is the scam:
They either tell you that you don't have enough coverage, or you if do have enough coverage, that they don't accept your insurance. They make their money from selling you their coverage, not off of the daily rental. I was told to look on Green Motion's website to see what insurance was accepted. I did check out the Green Motion site. I looked for the insurance requirements, only to be directed to another link. Sooo, they bury this information. This is a morally and ethically compromised company!!!! I have read some of the responses from Green Motion to other reviews, and I have yet to see them take responsibility for the lack of transparency on thier insurance racket. I know I will never see the $17.72 again. At this point it is not about the dollar amount it is about the scam, the waste of my time and the horrible experience. If you are looking for dissappointment, irritation, bait and switch in practice and in attitude, and an overall scummy experience, then Green Motion is the company for you!

Completely scammed and charged $1500 after ALL employees gaslit and lied the entire time. Hung up on by customer service when asking questions / needing help. They are truly running a scam.
EDIT: sending a canned email response suggesting you will right anything that is wrong over and over to all complaints on here while it’s clear nothing is changing proves further you are company dealing bad business. You should be contacting me directly—not the other way around. Appallingly bad business tactics and scamming /unsafe behavior. Do not trust them-they use coercive and abusive tactics filled with lies to get you to cave. LAX location is filled with CROOKS.

THIEVES and Crooks, period run 🏃♂️. I plan to take them to small claims court. I booked a 15 passenger van on line, I received an $11/day insurance. I pick up the Van and I'm told it's $89/day because its a commercial vehicle. Am I using it for commercial purposes. No.Ask them where online did they indicate this, NO WHERE! They refuse to allow us to cancel or change the vehicle size. So We are trapped! We are already
late to leave out for our trip . So we pay. The $$571 additional. We get a quick outside inspection and grab our keys and go. We in a hurry went to pick up the group. It's not only after we notice dashboard light on and some white furlike things on the carpet. But we are on vacation at a Disney resort. Life goes on. We take our van after vacation and they told us we did this to the inside and a couple days later a. Charge of $155. I'm reporting them.

This company is a scam, I will NEVER rent from them again. I have full coverage insurance that fully covers rental cars and this company forced me to purchase an extra insurance. They could not provide the information showing I'm required to purchase extra insurance. My insurance covers $250,000 but he said it wasn't enough. I needed to purchase their insurance that covers $300,000. I have already paid for the car in my package and then I had to pay for their insurance which is not stated on their website that you have to purchase extra insurance. I only had the car for 2 days and paid over $225. I NEVER went through this with any other car company. I was in town for a funeral and didn't have time to look for a last minute car reservation. They wouldn't credit me my money back so I had to go ahead and get the car and pay the extra insurance. On top of that I had to pay a $500 deposit fee which is extremely high. I just know that this company will never get my business anymore and I will NOT recommend this company to anyone.

Everything I'm reading in the reviews happen to me as well. I showed up for my prepaid car rental booked through Priceline. They asked me if I was going to use my insurance or purchase theirs? I informed him I had full coverage insurance with State Farm. He requested proof and $2,000 deposit! I was floored and said WHAT? Then he said or you can use our insurance for only $453.94 So only because I was in a rush, I purchased their insurance. This was a SCAM 100% and I will continue to write reviews until I get that insurance money returned to me.

SCAM ALERT! We booked the LAX location. Although we had sufficient insurance coverage, they forced us to buy extra insurance for ~US$60/day or we wouldn't get the car and lose the prepaid amount. The customer service rep said that was why the prepaid booking price was so cheap, the company needed to make money. We are frequent travelers in the USA, NO other car rental companies has FORCED us to buy insurance except this one. Stay away from them if you don't want any surprised costs.

Be aware of this rental place. They offered cheap prices but when you go to pick up the car, they charge you hundred of dollars more. In our case we had coverage from our insurance company but they said they do not work with our insurance company even though we showed them that our insurance cover car rentals in Florida. We did not have an alternative at that point: pay them over $450 for insurance for 5 days of renting the car or lose the rental fee already paid of $203.88. While we were in their place waiting we heard many people complaining of their abusive charges

Low class rental company. I was charged significantly more than what was on the confirmation email from Priceline, gas was supposed to be full but the tank took 4.5 gallons at a gas station within 1 mile of pick up, staff was incompetent and rude, and it took over 35 minutes to get the car once I was at their office. Pay a little extra elsewhere and get lots more.

This place should be investigated as they are basically a collection of Thieves misrepresenting their services their pricing and taking gross advantage of decent people. They pull a Hustle on their insurance requirements, they demand excessive car deposits and are disgraceful in their business practice.
I'll give just one example- Upon realizing after booking my rental, that the terms and conditions were grossly different than what I had come to understand, I decided it wasn't for me and I was going to walk.
I wouldn't take the car , they wouldn't take my money, no harm no foul.
Nope .
They said I had already entered into a contract and whether I took the car or not they were going to charge me full amount!!!
I stepped away from the counter trying to compose myself, and reach my attorney by phone. It would be my luck I couldn't. Not having a background in law I couldn't risk walking out of there and finding a $400 bill for an unused rental car on my credit card statement a month later.
They nailed me. But never again. Run like hell don't deal with these people.

These guys do a bait and switch they will also charge you $2000 on your credit card for a hold they won’t allow you to use your insurance unless it’s 500,000 and you have to bring in your whole policy. This is just the worst place I’ve ever been to in 30 years.

I called to require about a reservation in Vienna. The person who answered me was very rude started yelling at me, I have no idea why and hung up on me. This is the worst experience I ever had with car rental company.
Needless to say, I will never rent from that company .
