I was thrilled to join gym nation. I visit burjuman center to know more about gym nation. A staff named George assist me to explain about the gym. I saw all the area and equipments and I was impressed. But my concern was the assistance of training in the gym. I was not able to take a personal training. So I asked him about that. He told me no need of any personal trainer there. Because they're providing all training and assistance in 1 year membership. Moreover he told me If there are any absence of trainer in any days this George can assist me to explain about the workouts and the equipments in those particular days. I repeat the same question to him about the training assistance. He said if I'm taking the membership at that time he can give me all and it's a limited offer. Only 4 seats left there. I'll get diet assistance aslo along with the training. After that I made the payment and I came to the gym the same night.
Then I met the trainer, and he said without PT I cannot do anything. Gym nation can provide only one session class that day. Rest of the days I have to do workouts by myself. And there are no general trainers in the gym nation. The trainers are another company. All they are taking PT only. As a beginner without guidance it's hard to move on and it's risky. So in this membership I'll get just an access to the gym.
I realized there was no trainer and George was lying. The only reason I joined there was because of getting guidance and assistance from gym nation trainers. He was saying they have numerous trainers on the floor. Nothing to worry like that. At that time also I asked if they required PT. He said no never.
Then I went to him. And asked about this. He told me the trainer is lying. He is not a part of the gym nation. Don't care what he's saying and his words. And he told me to wait for a moment. He will do the needful things. After a few moments he came back to me after a call with someone and told me the same thing that the trainer said. At the same moment he changed his words and he sent me gym rules which he did not send before. I asked my cash return if it's like this. Or he should stand in his words. At that time one of the supervisors told me to wait until the next day. He will hear both sides and he will do the necessary things.
So I went to my room without taking any classes or training from the gym side. I called this supervisor, he told me this is not a big issue. He will refund the amount. Told me to wait until that week. Because of the account management. And there were no updates in that week. Next week he told me they were waiting for the manager's approval and it was received from the manager. He approved the payment. So he assured me he will pay within that week. Maximum Friday or before that. I wait that week also. Then he didn't respond to me. Then the next week he's telling me I have to ask George. George is saying it's not in his hands. Then why are these people making fake promises and doing things like this. It's not only a matter of cash. It's a matter of my time, cheating, making me worry all these days.
So I didn't expect this kind of experience from the gym nation. Still it's like that only. There's no action taken by them. No responses. Not taking my calls. Many of my friends was waiting to join with me. Now I'm just letting know the gym nation how's going there. And we hope there will be an action from gym nation side. Waiting for your response.

Signed up for a 3 month contract, and the salesperson told me before joining in person that after the 3 months I can cancel any time, no further commitments. I purposely asked about this as I knew I was leaving the country permanently in a few months.
I left the country after 2 months, obviously cancelled my bank cards and closed my bank accounts, and when I tried to cancel the gym membership even after having paid for the 3 full months they told told me first I would need to pay an extra month, and later another person called me, was extremely rude, and told me over the phone that I would need to pay for 2 months plus another 200 AED charge to be able to cancel, and that's with me already having left the country more than a month earlier. So basically I paid for 3 months, used it less than 2 months, then suddenly they wanted another 2 months plus 200 from someone who no longer lived in the UAE.
They kept citing terms and conditions although I insisted on what their salesperson told me when I explicitly asked him about cancellation and he clearly told me I pay for the 3 months and then there would be nothing else if I wanted out.
It's been around a year now and they keep sending emails with balances of around 5000 AED and threats of courts and travel bans 😅 makes people wonder if they are abiding by consumer protection rules, as in how can you continually charge membership fees, when in effect this membership and gym access is effectively blocked...?
Oh and despite this I anyway offered to pay them the one month notice after digging into their terms and conditions which they hide behind, even though the guy clearly said after the end of the 3 month contract I'm free to cancel, but they didn't want and continued with their inflated figures and threats..
Basically they give you the best experience before joining, tell you what you want to hear, then suddenly it's "you voluntarily agreed to the terms and conditions".. NO I'm sorry but life doesn't work that way, verbal trust is a very important factor, especially for gym memberships lol, this isn't a property purchase or a mission to go to the moon..
I've been to countless gyms in the UAE and elsewhere in the world, it was always pay for your membership and that's it, never have I even thought of encountering something like this...
They also tried random charges on my cancelled card multiple times of amounts that don't reflect any agreed fees.
In summary, PLEASE AVOID and don't get attracted to their offers and low memberships! Otherwise you may find yourself constantly harrassed for years by them or their poorly rated collection agencies, hundreds if not thousands of reviews here and on google are witness to that.
Now I'm sure they will reply with their standard copy pasted message about "the terms and conditions were clearly explained upon joining" (which they were not and I was told the opposite) and to contact them on their webform, however this is useless and nobody responds when you raise any complaint on their website.

I was pushed to sign up through an online link by a staff member who failed to clearly disclose key terms—especially the long-term commitment and cancellation conditions—despite me asking directly. The focus was entirely on the promotional price, with critical details either glossed over or avoided.
When I attempted to cancel within what should reasonably qualify under their own stated terms, the response shifted to technicalities and inconsistent explanations. Instead of addressing the issue transparently, it felt like the goal was simply to block the refund using interpretations that are not clearly reflected in their own published policy.
To make matters worse, the front desk/sales handling was either poorly trained or deliberately evasive. Basic questions were not answered clearly, and important information was only revealed after the fact.
This creates the impression of a business model designed to lock customers into agreements they don’t fully understand at the time of signup.
Proceed with extreme caution. Read every detail yourself ; do not rely on what staff tell you.

If the payment is delayed, their collection goons will call you saying they are customer support, these people are very rude and shouting, having no manners and logic, zero professionalism, infact zero knowledge on how to talk with customers ,
Their membership is kind of a trap, make sure you discuss with them before joining

I’ve had a very disappointing experience with GymNation.
From the start, I requested a simple change to my billing date due to a change in circumstances. Despite following up consistently for over 7 months, this was never properly addressed. Instead, I was put in a position where I had to rely on staff every time I wanted to work out.
The communication has been some of the worst I’ve experienced. At one point, I requested to freeze my account, which was rejected the night before my due date. GymNation then immediately attempted to charge both my account and my wife’s account. It took 2 weeks for anyone to respond and resolve the issue.
What’s even more concerning is the referral situation. I was promised a full year of membership if I referred 5 members. I referred 8, yet my account manager stopped responding for months. When they finally got back in touch, they couldn’t even locate one of my referrals in their system. This raises serious concerns about how referrals are tracked and managed.
Overall, the lack of accountability, poor communication, and failure to honor commitments has made this a frustrating experience. Unless this is resolved properly, I will be cancelling my membership along with all members associated with me.

They don’t respect their members, and they don’t have good employees, we pay for nothing, while we had our subscription they didn’t allow my kids to enter since they “didn’t pay” turns out their system was down and were saying it was my kids Apple Pay clearly not working, we entered the link and it was extremely complicated, “precisely” over priced for bad service, I won’t recommend this gym for kids or for people looking for great service/machines.

Despite providing documentation proving I left my job over a month ago, they are still withdrawing money from my card. They don't care that I live more than 30km away. They offer absolutely no help. This is nothing short of fraud. I would never recommend them.
I need to bring a serious issue to your attention. I was a member of your gym in 2020 for four months, but only attended for one month. After that, I relocated to Ajman, while the gym was in Sharjah. I provided all the necessary proof of my move at that time.
Now, three years later, I am being harassed by a staff member named Aman, who is threatening me to pay 952 AED. Despite never using the gym after my relocation, he is speaking to me in an extremely rude and unprofessional manner, even suggesting I borrow money from relatives. I have all WhatsApp chats saved as proof.
Additionally, a few days ago, another staff member (an Arab gentleman) contacted me and offered to settle the matter for 500 AED with three months of access. I asked Aman about it today, and he first denied knowing anything about this offer. After I insisted on a recording I have, he refused to check it and again demanded I pay either 952 AED or 850 AED. He then went so far as to threaten me with legal action and a lawsuit.
This is causing me a lot of distress, and I am being unfairly pressured. I kindly request that a senior, authorized person review my case and contact me immediately to resolve this. I have all evidence ready.
It’s a great gym and I genuinely enjoy working out there. The staff are very friendly and most of the equipment is good, but there are a few issues I hope can be addressed:
1. Stricter rules for members to store their belongings bags, jackets, etc in designated areas instead of leaving them on equipment while they’re working out elsewhere. I understand this comes down to civic sense, but clearer enforcement from staff would really help.
For example I wanted to use a machine and there is a jacket hanging on it and no one around, I stopped there for like a minute and no one turns up. I picked it up and moved it to another spot. Suddenly this man comes with a furious look on his face and tells me I should have asked him before moving his jacket. I was like how am I suppose to know its your jacket and you are 20 feet away doing something else. So for such people specially they need to guide them how to use the gym and keep belongings with them or store in a locker.
2. Many people don’t re-rack dumbbells in the correct spots, which makes it frustrating and time-consuming to find the right pair during busy hours. This is another area where stricter rules could improve the experience.
3. The app isn’t very reliable. It often doesn’t work efficiently, and I’m frequently advised to uninstall and reinstall it for check-ins, sometimes almost every week.
