Great service / quick and efficient

Bought a Bosch induction hob and during the sale it was mentioned multiple times that we would get a set of induction pots. During the hob delivery (almost 2 months after purchase) I asked for the pots and the delivery person said they would come through DPD and we would have to reach out to the store for details.
When we reached out to them, they told us this is a Bosch promotion and they don't have anything to do with that. They are using something they have nothing to do with as a sale point and if we don't go after it, we're not getting anything. It is a bonus but hey should have been honest about it from the start and explain the process to us instead of us having to chase this.

I arrived for click and collect early morning and the store was virtually empty but there was a lot of staff standing around chatting and drinking coffee, I went to the counter and there was nobody at the counter so I stood there for a few minutes a few staff walked by fairly close to me but just kept walking and never enquired was i ok or did i need assistance, I eventually asked a member of staff could they help and they went and got someone who just arrived and never apologised or made any remarks i eventually received my headphones and left with a very bad service.

Very bad experience with Harvey Norman Fonthill, specifically the Bedding department and their staff.
1. Items missing from initial delivery and a wrong mirror was given to us that’s just too big.
2. 5k mattress ripping after a couple of month using it. The initially didn’t want to charge it.
3. Not the bed frame is falling apart after just a year in use but they refuse to assist with fixing it as it’s past 12 months. I wasn’t aware that bed frames should only last for a year. It was install incorrectly installed but they dont seem to care.
People who work in the department are so rude and unbothered. Took us over 3 weeks to finally get a decision. The initial customer service ticket was ignored and the manager is always away (holidays, on a day off, on a lunch break, coffee break, any other break). I had to constantly chase them for any update. They are extremely unreliable. The guy who was dealing with issue told me “if I forget to call you tomorrow, can you call me instead?” Sorry, if you forget??
The lady who called us with a final no was very rude and unprofessional. Spoke to me as if I’m some friend of hers asking for an uncomfortable favour.
Never buying anything there again.
Electronics department there is great though. As if it’s a different store completely.

I need pictures i went in fonthill retail park branch .The staff told me open at 12.00 i went again 12.15 i store went on check out area because there was nobody on photo dsection they told me two minutes i wait 30 minutes no body come even 3 person on check out area and to much staff in store they are busy with each other.
If company have no value for other,s time .its not good .
Please do something so other people can save their time i m not going back in this branch for any kind of shopping because i don,t want to wast my time.

This experience has highlighted a serious and persistent failure in customer service and internal communication within Harvey Norman Ireland, specifically at the Fonthill store.

The original online purchase was made on 28/12/25. After receiving no delivery update, I contacted customer support on 07/01/26 to enquire about the expected delivery date. On 08/01/26, customer support confirmed that they had contacted the store processing my order (Fonthill) and that the store would contact me directly to provide further assistance. No such contact occurred.

After receiving no update, I contacted customer support again on 15/01/26. In this correspondence, I referenced the fact that the Harvey Norman website indicated that one of the items ordered was available in Little Island, Cork, with limited availability in Drogheda and Castlebar, while the remaining two items were shown as in stock at the Fonthill store.

On 16/01/26, customer support replied once again to confirm that they had reached out to the store processing my order to request an update, and that the store would contact me to assist further. For a second time, no contact was made by the Fonthill store.

The recurring issue here is not product availability but the complete absence of follow-through, accountability, or basic communication at store level. Repeated assurances that a store has been contacted, without any subsequent engagement, indicate a breakdown in internal processes that directly impacts customers.

For a retailer of this size, this level of service is unacceptable. Customers should not be required to repeatedly chase updates, nor should they be left in a position where customer support responses amount to assurances with no tangible outcome. This experience has significantly undermined my confidence in Harvey Norman’s ability to manage orders and communicate effectively once a purchase has been made.

Aleksandra at the Fonthill store in Dublin was an incredibly helpful sales person. She helped me choose an air fryer, brought me to another sales member to check for bulbs and walked me to my car with my purchases. I was in the store for less than a minute before she asked if I needed support. Highly professional and attentive team. 5 stars!
