Excellent services, very good staff and care. Will definitely use them going forward

I am an American living in UK and used to a very different path for mamograms than provided by NHS. After researching different options for a private screening I found HCA (Wilmslow Hospital) one stop breast clinic. The appointment wait time was near zero, as in I was able to book an appointment within the week I called. The staff was nice and knowledgeable and the appointment itself was quick and efficient (not rushed, there is a difference). I was also able to get my results on the spot as the tests were done by the radiologist. I was self pay and found the pricing to be reasonable as well. I will be returning to have my screenings done there annually and feeling much better about my overall health as a result.

HCA made what is a scary and worrying time, actually enjoyable. I was taken care of better than a 5 star hotel and the care and empathy was top notch.

Ok, the first doctor i saw was amazing, she told me, after blood tests, any payments over payed, would be refunded.
I was booked in to stay for 48 hours. My partner paid £6000 for my 2 night bed stay. Plus £375 for blood tests.
I booked in this hospital at 11.30 am, I had 1 scan on my wrist to be told, I had minor arthritis wear. That is normal for me.
I was checked outat 6.30pm. My stay was 7 hours. My partner paid £6000 for a 2 night stay.
This payment has wiped both of us pensioners out. No one had come to me to say we would be refunded for after the 7 hours I used their room for.
That was minimal, I can assure you.
My partner is owed a subliminal amount from this company, which I very much doubt he will receive.
Please, if you are searching for private health care, avoid this company at all cost.
We have lost life savings accrued to this company, don't let yourself be another victim.
Do not choose your health care by reviews that may not be legitimate.
Trust me, someone who was fooled by false kindness and false information.

Very poor customer experience around cancellation and rescheduling.

I booked a physiotherapy appointment through my employer’s insurance benefit. On the morning of the appointment I became unwell and called to ask about rescheduling. I was told that rescheduling would be treated as cancelling and booking again, and that a fee could apply. I was later charged £65 fee.

This was the first time this had happened to me with this clinic. I was not a repeated no-show or someone repeatedly cancelling appointments at short notice, but there still appeared to be no first-time discretion or goodwill applied.

Another issue is that, based on their policy, you need to give 48 hours’ notice to avoid cancellation charges. In my view, this is a very long notice period, especially for illness, and it feels stricter than the 24-hour cancellation policies I have often seen at other clinics.

One thing that made the experience more frustrating is that the appointment was provided in an onsite clinic within my employer’s office. Because of that, I assumed the process would be straightforward and employee-friendly, and I did not expect an insured physiotherapy appointment to result in a personal invoice for a first-time missed appointment due to illness.

In my view, the policy is extremely rigid and not patient-friendly. If you become ill on the day, there appears to be no practical way to reschedule without risking a personal charge, even when the appointment is part of an insured benefit. I also only noticed the invoice by chance in the portal more than a month later, rather than receiving a clear invoice notification by email.

I understand that clinics need to protect appointment slots, but the way this was handled felt very impersonal and unfair. I would not book physiotherapy here again, and I would advise others to check the cancellation/rescheduling/DNA policy very carefully before booking.

I would like to highlight the immense kindness and professionalism of all the staff. Dr. Shameer Mehta is an exceptional specialist and he is the only one who is truly resolving a bowel health problem that has persisted for 18 years. He is undoubtedly the best doctor in his field.

I had never visited this hospital before so it was unfamiliar, but the staff were so friendly and everyone was so helpful that any anxiety I had was quickly dispelled. Everyone was so efficient but not in an officious way.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the hospital staff for the wonderful care and support I received during my stay. The nurses were not only knowledgeable, but genuinely caring and attentive, and they always took the time to explain everything clearly and make sure I was comfortable. I truly felt cared for and looked after throughout such a difficult time. The catering staff were also so kind and polite, and the food was amazing every day. The rooms were spotless, very clean, and well stocked with everything we needed, which made a real difference to my stay. Overall, it was an excellent stay, and I am so grateful to everyone for your hard work, kindness, and dedication. Thank you again for making a hard time much easier.

Friendly greeting, nice environment. Clean. Pleasant nurse. Consultant, Mr Guy Morris, was extraordinary. Patience, compassion, preparation, a considered response to a complicated situation, approachable, thoughful. Kind and patient-centred, so often lacking but abundent. Wow!
