Having been let down by a previous firm i got in touch with HCB Legal Limited who were absolutely fantastic. I was dealt with by Lucy who was absolutely on the ball. She was always there to answer any questions and always responded very quickly. I would definitely recommend this firm.

HCB acted as my conveyancer for my first home after a recommendation from my colleague. Being a first time buyer, I lacked knowledge and had a lot of questions during the process. Chris and Rupert never made me feel stupid or that I was bothersome, and were both incredibly helpful and responsive throughout. They were very efficient at each stage, even to the point that my seller's solicitors commented on how impressed they were with HCB's turnaround times. Any issues were quickly identified and addressed. I have heard horror stories from other people about their own solicitors, but I experienced none of that with HCB. I would use them again and would recommend them to my friends and family.

The sale of my leasehold flat has quite frankly been a huge pain because of management companies dragging their feet for 6 months. Abbey and Sam could not have been more professional or friendly throughout the whole process, providing reassurance and knowledge when I needed it most. I have finally completed today which is a massive relief! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Abbey or Sam, and will definitely consider their services for purchasing future properties.

HCB handled our sale and purchase. Throughout the process their service was exceptional. What started off as quite a straight forward story turned into quite a drawn out and at times stressful exchange. Abbey Peters and the team went to great effort to represent us and ensure we were kept informed, without them we are sure it probably would have all fallen through. Rupert, Sam, Victoria and Abbey all contributed to communications and provided us with support. Someone always answered the phone and when one had a day off another was always able to pick up the thread.

Dealt with Rupert and Chris for both sale and purchase of our house and was the easiest house experience I’ve had. Was kept in the loop at all times, nearly paperless, and quick responses and replies whenever needed. Will use again definitely.

Chris and Rupert were a great help for us when selling our old house and purchasing our new one. They managed to navigate us through a sale when our purchaser’s solicitor had suffered a data breach and was out of action a while. The whole time they kept us up to date and did and managed to progress the sale through to completion when many other transactions had stalled.

They helped us purchase our family home and guided us successfully through the process, despite us contracting covid near to completion. They kept us informed at every stage and let us know the legal position throughout with advice on how best to proceed.

Buying a house is one of the biggest purchases you are likely to make and can be a stressful time. Having Chris and Rupert available to talk us through it all and maintain the communication needed really helped to reduce the anxiety. I would recommend them again to anyone looking for a solicitor/conveyancer who likes to be kept informed when buying or selling a property.
