Over Hear and Play Music
Geschreven door het bedrijf
At Hear and Play Music and the Gospel Music Training Center, our passion is helping musicians worldwide unlock the art of playing the piano by ear. Founded in 2000 by Jermaine Griggs, we have dedicated decades to teaching the dynamic skill of understanding and interpreting music through ear training, music theory, and recognizing patterns. Our focus is on soulful music genres that best express this art form, including gospel, jazz, blues, soul, R&B, and pop.
We believe that playing by ear transcends traditional music learning methods, allowing musicians to experience and express music in a deeply personal way. Our specialized approach teaches students to hear recurring themes in songs and interpret them creatively on the piano.
Over the years, we have reached and serviced more than 2 million musicians through various platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, our email newsletter, free lessons, comprehensive paid courses, and a personalized coaching program. Our resources are designed to cater to learners at different stages of their musical journey, from beginners to advanced players.
Hear and Play Music and the Gospel Music Training Center is more than just a teaching platform; it's a community where musicians come together to share, learn, and celebrate the joy of music. Join us, and embark on a musical adventure that will transform the way you hear and play music.

The presenter had a GREAT attitude
The presenter had a GREAT attitude. I felt comfortable receiving instructions from him. He was "caring" in his presentation. He explained information well. He had a "warm" spirit that was well received. The information received was well worth the time spent listening.

I am probably an intermediate player
I am probably an intermediate player, had a couple of years of piano but must have been at a good age for retention. Being able to see the chords in action was huge for me. I am a very basic accordion player and never could picture how diminished chords related to other chords. I don't want to be anything other than playing piano for self and family but want to build on what I know now.

Praise the Lord!
I am practicing the 7th chords with the inversions. I am still very new to the number system, and I can't wait to get it thoroughly. My dream and goal is to be an effective worship piano player for my church. I can't wait!
