I found discount code for £10 on website - REDHOT - but did not apply. No reason given for this

My initial review is listed below. I followed the advice from the customer service reply below and had a call from Certas who confirmed my delivery was booked on the correct size tanker for 9am this morning. It did not arrive. Appalling communication between HFD and Certas - blaming each other. For clarity, delivery has been booked on 4 occasions with notifications sent - no delivery has been made. For awareness, my elderly parents are now currently sat inside with their coats on.

Well 3rd time promised a free can of additive if I leave a review 3rd time nothing so 1 star it is why advertise something when you clearly have no intention of sticking to your promise .

I’ve just had enough of using this company. Last year I had a long running saga because they claimed my underground tank was unsafe and tanker driver refused to deliver even although certas had delivered for years with no problem! Eventually had to submit building control and installer documentation. It was installed 16 years ago! Latest delivery was supposed to be for 500l, turns out that only 389l was delivered. No explanation at all. Phoned up, balance to be delivered yesterday. No oil tanker, but they have credited the overpayment.
I’m done wasting time with them and now will specify anybody but certas if I use boiler juice.

Great Company. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Been using them for years. Always competitive.

Thanks to Home Fuels my oil turned up on time. Booked on and before 14.10.26.

Emailed me the day before to say it will be delivered on the due date and it was this morning.

Straightforward booking. Competitive pricing. The new delivery options is an improvement on previous system. My latest delivery arrived on time.

Appalling. Ordered and paid for oil, delivery date came and went, no contact, no explanation. Apparently they decided to cancel my order, still no explanation and waiting for reimbursement.

Ordered and paid for oil. Apparently tanker did arrive when we were out. Were not informed of this. There was no reply to my email as to where the delivery was. We had no service and no communication. It was not until I contacted Certas Energy who apparently own HomeFuels Direct that I learnt that the tanker had actually been. Cancelled order, awaiting refund, will not use again!

Way past my delivery date ,still waiting for my delivery.
Contacted home fuels and keep getting told no drivers , awful ,never using them again.
Now run out of fuel ,no heating or hot water .
Staff on phones unhelpful , steer clear .

Having previously had 4 or 5 successful deliveries, the most recent one has been postponed for access reasons and without any communication at all. Phoned the number provided to be given numerous poor excuses and then to be told I won’t be getting my oil and it has been cancelled. Extremely poor ‘customer service’. Makes you wonder if the oil is being sold on at a higher price. Will not use again and would not recommend.
*Still waiting for a reply to email 48 hours after sending it, prompted by your reply. Sums up the communication perfectly!*

Non delivery despite payment taken and no contact to update us. The website has no phone number or direct means to communicate with anyone. 6 days after confirmed delivery date and nothing. Poor.

This is the first time ordering from this company, and honestly, cannot fault them.
I ordered the heating oil on Thursday, it was delivered the very next day despite paying low price for longer delivery timescales.
Ordering was super easy too. Lowest prices available on the market.
Very happy with the service, so will be making this my regular supplier.

Ordered 500litres of heating oil on 25/8 with specific request for delivery by small 4 wheel tanker. Order accepted and advised of delivery by 10/9. Was subsequently advised of 2 different delivery dates which came and went without any delivery or explanation as to why not delivered. Today received email informing that the order had been cancelled due to tanker not being able to access the property and payment would be refunded. On contacting local Certas depot was informed that they did not have a tanker which could access the property, the person who was rude and unhelpful, said a baby tanker was required which was not available at the depot dealing with the delivery. I pointed out that the previous 5 deliveries had been made successfully without any issues by a small 4 wheel tanker. Their response was just to reiterate what they previously said adding ‘they could no longer make any further deliveries to the property ‘. Apart from this one conversation, all communication has been via email, again all of which were unhelpful and could have been written by a robot. Aside from having no oil there is also the issue of placing a new order at a significantly higher price. I will take great pleasure in taking a photo of the small 4 wheel tanker delivering the oil and sending it to Certas. Looking at Certas response to previous comments it is unlikely to have any impact or result in a meaningful apologise.

Very poor experience with these cowboys.
I managed to pay and secure oil for around £635 for 700 litres from homefuelsdirect 2 weeks ago.
In the next several days the oil price had increased so I was relieved to have locked in the price.

An oil tanker from "Certas" arrived today at my home, without notifying me, as I had stipulated. The driver says he inspected the tank and said there was a crack and other damage and therefore he couldn't deliver the oil to me - despite the same company having delivered to the same tank less than 6 months previously. And there was no evidence of entry to my property to look properly at the tank.
When I complained to the company, they said they had pictures of my tank and ignored the fact that my heating maintenance company has recently certified the tank as fine!

I strongly believe that Home fuels direct, in cahoots with certas, clearly knew they could get significantly more for the oil, so fabricated a story about the tank in order to take it away and deliver the oil to someone else for a much higher price.
Looking at several comments above, this is a known tactic from this company during the current period.
This company are greedy, untrustworthy, and should be avoided at all costs. They should be looked at by the relevant ombudsman.

You make me feel so jolly, that is why i get my oil from Ollie. With the weather reports every week you can be ready for what is out on the street. Don't be caught out and have to worry, just order your oil and it will come on a lorry,and that is why i love Ollie.

Can’t fault these guys always have been the cheapest around and always delivered on time if not earlier
