Hotpoint used to be what we called the…

Hotpoint used to be what we called the Ford Escort of appliances (I used to do domestic repairs) - they were middle of the range, reliable for a good few years and simple to repair when they went wrong, now they’re made as cheaply as possible (opened my washer dryer up after it failed and found it was rebadged Candy🙄) We have always bought Hotpoint in the past, at the moment we have a dishwasher and washer dryer both which are showing faults just after the warranty expiration….. Never ever again will I buy this utter rubbish, used to be cheap and cheerful - now expensive and built cheaply as possible to just outlast equally useless warranty.

No Guarantee Service Access

My washer-dryer broke down at six months old so under guarantee but when I try to contact them for a repair it is near impossible. They have no contact for guarantee on the websites or links and try to force you down a route where you will pay instead. The day after I got the chat option to get me to an agent who gave me a number that keeps breaking up their end. When I told the agent the telephone was not working they suggested I try again tomorrow.
I can't believe a famous and established brand can have such near non-existent customer service.

Lodówka tragedia

Lodówka tragedia. No Frost którą trzeba rozmrażać co 10 miesięcy bo wogle nie chłodzi. Zdecydowanie odradzam. Stare lodówki trzeba było rzadziej rozmrażać niż lodówki hotpoint no frost

Shame you cant give no stars.
Hotpoint have no one to answer phones and no email address. You have to do it through Whatsapp who does not understand what you are saying and takes forever to respond. This is especially difficult when you are 80 and not good with technology. Will be writing and old fashioned letter to the head of company and sending it signed for! The 6 month old fridge freezer costing £900 if falling apart. DO NOT BUY A HOTPOINT APPLIANCE it will reduce you to tears

Daylight robbery of old people

On the website it says customer service is open 8am - 6pm Mon-Fri. When you call, it's 8.30am- 5pm. My mum is 87 and bought a washing machine 3 years ago. It has broken. She called Hotpoint, they charged her £149 to come out, but the engineer couldn't fix it. The engineer said he would return the following week with a new part. The following week the engineer didn't come so she called customer service. They told her there was nothing wrong with her machine. So... £149 for WHAT?

Shocking service hotpoint. She's 87!!

La mia è davvero stata un odissea ed è ancora in atto . Lavatrice Ariston hot point 9 kg motore inverter . Sin dal primo lavaggio la macchina ha dati F05 . Ho chiamato subito il venditore che mi ha subito scaricato all assistenza . L’assistenza e intervenuta su e limita ad accendere la macchina (nonostante io avessi un elevo di anomalie ) e mi incida ad estrarre il tubo di scarico dal
Muro . La lavatrice non fa più errore ma di fatti non lava il bucato . Assenza di scatta ecwusl poco presente ristagna sotto il cestello e nel filtro . L’acqua puzza di acidi e chimici così come il bucato . Dopo video foto dopo aver chiamati 5 idraulici e Canajet esasperata ho cambiato anche casa .. ma io problema non è mai cambiato . Esausta ed esasperata riesco ad avere un nuovo intervento dove mi viene sostuita interamente la vasca . loro
dicono di farlo per mero scrupolo comminando ad insistere che la macchina se avesse problemi darebbe qualche errore . E se fosse proprio la scheda ad avere una programmazione errata ? Una lettura sballata ? Fanno la sostituzione impostano la macchina a lavaggio cotone 90 gradi a vuoti e vanno via . Dopo un paio d’ore metti degli asciugamani . . La situazione non è cambiata . L’acqua dello scarico è nera o grigio . Il
lavaggio peggiora ad alte temperature e l’acqua è visibile nell oblò solo a programma piumini o risciacquo . Diversamente con tutti gli altri programmi l’acqua è assente … sembra lavorare a secco . . Io mo avvalgo del fatto di aver segnalato il tutto al primo lavaggio .. loro insistono nel dire che la macchina è funzionante e priva di anomalie e continuano a darmi lezioni di bucato di asciugatura e di scelta di prodotti che nulla hanno a che vedere com il risultato del bucato . La macchina non lava …
consuma i panni . Li macchia , gli sfibra .. e lo restiidce come se fossero stati cotti non lavati . ho foto e video di ogni lavaggio .. e quei pochi lavaggi sono stati quasi fatti tutti per inviarli all assistenza perché di fatti per avere il bucato pulito
sono dovuta ricorrere alle lavanderie automatiche . I tecnici de pur preiststi nonnhsnno voglia de fare un controllo accurato . A mio avviso a questo punto è un difetto di produzione . La scheda forse non legge correttamente i cicli e questo compromette il bucato .
Ho invitato via mail l’azienda a ritirare il prodotto in essere e di testarlo con le proprie mani e vedere con i loro occhi il risultato pessimo del bucato e con L olfatto la puzza che la lavatrice emana già in corso di lavaggio . Chiedo che questa recensione venga presa ok considerazione perché non avete la minima idea del danno che questa storia ha causati nel mio quotidiano . Oggi ho anche contattato altro consumo perché sono arrivata davvero allo stremo … in azienda seria alla vista di quell acqua di scarico putrefatta come minimo avrebbe ritirato la macchina per fare un controllo approfondito

Avoid! Don’t waste your time or money

This is a joke! Been on phone 1 hour 22 minutes no one answering! Rang a number i spoke to yesterday to be told Sorry we are training be back on at 1pm. So the otber number must be training too!
Customer service is so bad its untrue! Avoid this company.

Hotpoint Service doesn't even deserve 1 star

Do not buy a Hotpoint appliance!

I will start by saying that when they actually arrive I have never had a problem with the engineers.

However, Hotpoint Service continuously cancel your engineer appointments, usually within 30 to 60 minutes before they are due to arrive, no apology, no explanation, just a faceless text message.

This is then followed by them rescheduling an engineer appointment and not bothering to turn up to that one either, and the cycle of not turning up continues!

I am now on the 3rd rescheduled appointment, so I will be cutting my losses and getting rid of my Hotpoint washer (thankfully my insurance company agrees that the levels of service are extremely poor and have agreed to write it off).

Hotpoint will definitely not be the make of my next washer.

Unprofessional and Useless - Avoid Hotpoint!

These guys are rude and aggressive - A very worrying culture in that workplace!
There is a never ending phone loop and when you get connected you get transferred to another queue.
They are rude and unhelpful.
One member of staff told me that I had probably broken the oven myself (it turned out to be a faulty "mother board") and when I challenged him he said "I'm allowed to speculate and I'm entitled to my opinion". I made a complaint and was told the process was internal so I wouldn't be informed of the outcome.
The oven was eventually refunded (and I purchased a different make) but I had to wait over a month without a working oven, spent hours on the phone.
These people are not professionals - avoid Hotpoint!

Never again will I buy anything…

Never again will I buy anything Hotpoint!! I bought a cooker on the 20/2/26 the main oven hasn’t worked since I got it and they came to fix the thermostat on it twice none of these worked now I’m waiting on a third visit for another thermostat. It’s appalling can’t get any sense out of Hotpoint customer services. They are useless

Over a month later and my oven is still not fixed. Currys are not taking responsibility so having to to get onto trading standards. Absolutely disgusting behaviour.

Washing machine failed after 15 months…

Washing machine failed after 15 months under warranty

Managed to get hotpoint to accept they needed to repair incl. manpower after 4 transferred calls confirming the same information.

Called 2nd May, repair appointment 6th May
6th May appointment cancelled until 8th May at 2 hr notice.

8th May could not repair, ordered parts for 19th May.
19th May cancelled appointment at less than 2 hr notice for 27th May.

So, I took time out of work for 3 days so far with no resolution and no washing machine. This is unacceptable.

Fridge failed twice within 18 months

We noticed on 18th May 2026 that the fridge had an internal temperature of 8°c. We measured this with both an analogue and digital thermometer. The food in the fridge has spoiled and I had to dispose of my insulin. As this is the second time we have had an issue with the fridge and the first repair has failed. We requested a like-for-like replacement.

I originally booked a repair on 6th June 2025 as our fridge temperature was around 11°c-13°c. An engineer visited our property on 16th June 2025 who advised us that our fridge needed to be repaired and a part would be ordered.

A second appointment was scheduled for 23rd June 2025 to repair the fridge but this was cancelled by Hotpoint as an engineer wasn’t available.

The next available appointment was scheduled for 7th July 2025. I went 31 days without a working fridge.

The repair wasn’t completed due to something being damaged, the engineer flushed the system.

I then contacted Beko on 19th May 2026 due to the fridge failing again, they stated they will not repair or replace the fridge, despite two repairs failing within 18 months of owning it.

I have logged a complaint with Beko but they have said I will not receive a response with an outcome of the complaint and they would not escalate the call to a team leader or manager as they “no not deal with phone calls”.

As a reminder, I am an insulin dependent diabetic. My insulin needs to be refrigerated. Beko will not take any responsibility.

Do not buy Beko products. They are of an unsatisfactory quality and try to pressure you into buying extended warranties for products not built to last.

The washing machine developed a door…

The washing machine developed a door latch fault, error code F6. This was reported to the service centre, who offered me a repair/six month service contract which was the cheapest repair option. The Technician arrived on the agreed date without the necessary part. It was the only part associated with the error code.
What support organisation sends out a technician to a known fault without the parts necessary to fix that fault?
Really disillusioned with Hotpoint despite having purchase several Hotpoint washer dryers in the past.
I will not buy another one.

A month on machine still not fixed

After waiting a week, my appointment was cancelled on the day due to the engineer being off sick. For the second visit, the engineer did not bring the required part, despite being informed when the appointment was made, he would. Following the third visit a new fault appeared on the machine the very first load after the engineer called. The engineer could not return so have to wait another five days. A month on, I still do not have use of the machine. This is the second breakdown in 10 months from new. Formal complaint had to be sent by post to Customer Services at head office in Peterborough, no email address available. Totally let down.

Poor service when you need a repair!

Follow up repair booked for today between 0715 and 1015 and at 0800 a text saying repair has been cancelled, no explanation or apology. A rescheduled repair visit 12 days later!!!

For most families a washer machine is a vital appliance so to be without one for what will be nearly 3 weeks is totally unacceptable.

This is the 5th repair the washing machine has had, so from the start the build quality has been shocking, Hotpoint used to be a good brand for both sales and repairs, but that ship has sailed a long time ago.

Broken 5 month old washing machine

5 month old washing machine broke. Needed new drum, wiring and module. Took nearly 3 weeks to repair over 3 engineer visits. Shocking that no compensation is offered considering how much we had to spend paying to wash our clothes and that we weren't offered a brand new machine as they basically had to rebuild it. Also trying to get through to Customer Services was awful. It took 6 attempts to get through as the automated message just kept saying to try calling back as there was no one available to take the call. 😡 Will never buy another Hotpoint or associated brand or recommend them to anyone.

Absolutely the WORST customer service

Absolutely the WORST customer service. Was on hold for about four hours over two days trying to get a service only for them to come when I was not home. WHICH I TOLD THEM ABOUT PREVIOUSLY. Will NEVER buy a product from this company based on the service alone. Despicable.

Absolutely despicable service

I would leave 0 if it were possible. Their customer service team need more training on customer service, we were lied to several times and were without a usable oven for 6 weeks and ended up having the repair done elsewhere at our own cost despite the oven being under warranty having had it for less than 3 months. Never ever again will be purchase a hotpoint appliance.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service.

Repair booked then cancelled on the morning by text. Rebooked and had to wait another week. Escalated complaint and told we would recieve a text with any earlier dates. We checked the website by chance and bought the date forward ourselves. Repair had happened which was good. Still no follow up from the complaint. Terrible customer service.

Poor quality customer support

Poor quality products and worse customer service. Engineers not knowing what they are doing, having to phone colleagues for help, different engineers passing on different information. Shambles....
Left dirty marks on ceiling and wall during repair of extractor and refusing liability. Wall had been painted 4 days before after kitchen refurb. Customer complaint process is very tedious, they are not interested which shows in poor reviews. Will never buy anything from this group again. Cannot be trusted.
