Brand new integral microwave

Brand new integral microwave, faulty. Extremely loud noise. Customer service is absolutely appalling! Worse than horrendous. Can’t express how much stress and upset Hotpoint has caused. Engineer confirmed shoddily put together, hence noise. We are lurching from one nightmare to another with Hotpoint. We just want a working, safe microwave that we paid for! If you’re considering Hotpoint - don’t!!

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

Customer service is disgusting, they lie, the operators are aggressive, rude, unprofessional, do not listen to the customer and will do nothing to assist.

All my items are in brand new condition as everything is well looked after, my tumbled dryer had a recall a few years ago but it was working fine BUT becoming excessively hot and during the engineer visit he damaged, bashed, dented the exterior of the machine which is now leading to rusting and flaking paint. I have cut my hands and I a m anemic and I am not to have open wounds.

I HAVE MADE OVER 100 CALLS AND SENT DOZENS OF EMAILS AND SPOKEN TO DOZENS OF PEOPLE, THEY ARE ALL RUDE, UNHELPFUL, LIARS, REFUSE TO ASSIST OR ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR DAMAGES

COUPLE OF YEARS AGO, KAY, SENIOR MANAGER ASSURED ME SHE WAS SENDING ME A REPLACEMENT TUMBLE DRYER FREE OF CHARGE, STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT AND CONVENIENTLY SHE HAS APPARENTLY LEFT THE BUSINESS. I HAVE BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT, FRACTURED MY SPINE, WRIST ARMS AND STILL THEY REFUSE TO SEND ME A TUMBLE DRYER WHCIH THEY DAMAGED

SCAMMERS, LIARS, DISGUSTING COMPANY AND EMPLOYEES

Instead they sent yet another engineer in March, he also damaged the exterior metal casing and ludicrously told me

"Your tumble dryer has heat and is not getting hot and so will not dry your clothes so I suggest you dry your clothes on a radiator or get a heater rail to dry clothes as your tumble dryer does not work!!!!!"

whilst he was present, we out slightly damp clothes in the tumble dryer and after 45 mins they were still wet

THEY ARE MISSING THE POINT, THE ENGINEERS HAVE BASHED MY DRYER ALL OVER ND IT IS A MESS AND IT IS THE ONLY ITEM IN MY PROPERTY THAT IS DAMAGED

HE WANTS ME TO DRY CLOTHES ON RADIATORS DESPITE ME HAVING A TUMBLE DRYER WHCIH WAS IN BRAND NEW CONDITION BEFORE THE ENGINEERS STARTED TOUCHING IT

AS A COMPANY YOU ARE DISGRACEFUL, INCOMPETENT, INSULTING, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND LIARS

DO NOT GIVE THEM A PENNY OF YOUR MONEY

Replacement Didn't Fix the Problem – Left Me Worse Off Than Before

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Hotpoint has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I have encountered.

I purchased a Hotpoint PHVP82FLTK cooker hood and paid £138 for a professional electrician to install it. The appliance was intended to be used in recirculation mode, which requires carbon filters. Hotpoint no longer supplies the original filter (J00692252) and instead recommends a substitute filter (C00385095).

The problem is that the substitute filters do not fit the appliance.

I contacted Hotpoint's parts department and supplied photographs clearly showing that the left and right sides of the motor housing are different, while the substitute filters are identical. I specifically raised concerns that the issue appeared to be a compatibility problem rather than a fault with the cooker hood itself.

Despite this, Hotpoint arranged an engineer visit and ultimately replaced the entire cooker hood.

The replacement cooker hood arrived and, unsurprisingly, it has exactly the same filter compatibility issue as the original appliance. The replacement therefore failed to resolve the original problem.

Worse still, the replacement process left me in a poorer position than before. The original professionally installed cable routing was removed and not reinstated, leaving cabling hanging visibly. Existing fixings were reused, some screws were left visibly damaged, the appliance no longer sits flush against the wall, and cosmetic damage was caused to the surrounding area.

To make matters worse, the replacement appliance now appears to have faults that the original did not. The motor is significantly louder, the unit vibrates during operation, and it produces an additional trilling/rattling noise that was not present before the replacement.

The most frustrating aspect of all is that I warned Hotpoint in writing before the replacement took place that replacing the appliance would not solve the problem if the replacement used the same design. Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened.

I am now left with:
• An unresolved filter compatibility issue.
• A replacement appliance that appears noisier than the original.
• A visibly inferior installation.
• Cosmetic damage.
• Significant time and effort spent chasing a resolution.

When I attempted to raise a formal complaint, I was directed to communicate through WhatsApp. I reluctantly did so, only to be advised that complaints were handled internally and that my feedback would be passed on. No complaint outcome was provided, no escalation route was offered, and I was left with the impression that the matter had simply been closed rather than investigated.

I subsequently submitted a detailed formal complaint, supported by photographs, engineer reports and correspondence, and later escalated the matter directly to Hotpoint's CEO's office. At the time of writing, I have not even received an acknowledgement of receipt.

The product issues have been disappointing. The complaint handling and lack of communication have been even more disappointing.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Hotpoint's aftersales support.

For completeness, I have already submitted a detailed formal complaint supported by photographs, engineer reports, invoices and correspondence, and have subsequently escalated the matter directly to Hotpoint's CEO's office.

As of today, I have not yet received an acknowledgement of that complaint.

I am, however, happy to provide my complaint reference details via Trustpilot message if this will assist in ensuring the matter is properly reviewed and responded to.

Electric oven

Electric oven - just outside 12 month warranty - closing latch has electric meltdown and breaks the top of oven door. Hotpoint aren't interested in finding out the actual problem (as this would involve people being employed by them) so the AI bot cannot understand what is actually wrong with the appliance. Inexperienced engineer comes out and can't fix it without parts (which they could have found out at the outset) so has to return. 6 visits later and 'fixed' albeit he has broken other parts which hold the glass front so this falls out. 7 visits in total. Within the month the heating element seems to have broken - oven will not heat up - try and book another repair but impossible online as the booking form is broken and cannot accept the model number. So will now have to try and find a way to speak to someone!...Will never buy a hotpoint appliance again. Crap product and crap after service.

Ridiculously bad

Ridiculously bad - used to be great - but just now send you on endless loops of "we are connecting you" and then they end the call. Chatbots that don't work. Customer service agents that don't exist, or are dealing with multiple complaints all at once - and so create more. Time wasters. Sorry to be blunt. After writing this, I finally got through to an actual human ( I had to press the option: "I'd just bought an appliance in the last 28 days" to get through to someone, but hadn't just bought an appliance), but after going through security, they said "Sorry, we've just had a fire alarm, we can't talk - can you call us back?"

Appalling communication and endless…

Appalling communication and endless delays. Avoid Hotpoint.
I will never buy a Hotpoint appliance again. The aftercare and repair service is entirely incompetent, and I have had to chase them at every single step of the process.
Here is the timeline of my ongoing nightmare trying to get a simple Washer/Dryer repair:
• Day 1: Booked a repair. An engineer arrived the next day but couldn't do anything because Hotpoint failed to log that it was a washer/dryer. The engineer only fixed standalone washers. He told me someone would be in touch.
• Day 1 (Evening): No one contacted me. I had to call Hotpoint back myself to re-explain the issue and re-confirm it was a washer/dryer.
• Day 4 (Following Monday): A second engineer arrived, diagnosed the fault, and ordered the part. Again, I was told I'd be updated.
• Day 8: I had to chase them up yet again. I was told the part had arrived, but I am now expected to wait another 10 days for a third engineer to actually fit it because they were not bothered to book another date until I called up today.
Because of Hotpoint’s internal communication failures, a straightforward repair is dragging out over weeks. This is the third time I am having to arrange my schedule around an engineer visit for a single issue.
If you value customer service and reliability, buy from a different brand. Hotpoint's aftercare is non-existent.

On 19th June, I was scheduled to receive a visit from a third engineer, having already waited 11 days for this specific appointment. Instead of the service being carried out, I received a text message informing me that the necessary part had not arrived and that my appointment had been rescheduled yet again—this time for 6th July
​This level of service is entirely unacceptable. The repeated delays, poor communication, and inability to resolve the issue within a reasonable timeframe constitute a failure to fulfill the service agreement. I cannot continue to be left without a working washing machine due to your company's operational delays.
I have decided to purchase a new washing machine independently, as I can no longer rely on your company. I expect a prompt confirmation of my policy cancelled.

Faulty repair caused electrocution.

Engineer came to fix my fridge door, he fixed the initial problem but damaged another component, this component then completely snapped. Same engineer came to fix the component that he broke, when he fixed it he damaged the new component in 2 places and fridge door doesnt shut properly. The component that he replaced has 2 cracks in it. Hotpoint initially refused to fux his damage until i threatened court action. I have just run my finger over the cracked component and been electrocuted. Terrible service from a well known brand. Customer service is terrible and engineers work is dangerous. I have video evidence of the dangerous repair that needs repairing again through faulty workmanship. Disgraceful.
Hotpoint replied asking for me ti call them by giving me a number to call that is disconnected. No surprise their. Hotpoint customer services -1 star.

Delivery team abrasive, support team rude and just end chats.

Delivery team get rude and abrasive on the phone when asking if taking the doors off a fridge freezer is possible.
The live chat team is beyond useless, I clicked "Cancel an Order" and they told me I need to speak to home delivery team and ended the chat immediately. Why is "Cancel an Order" an option on the live chat service if you're just telling people to contact the rude and abrasive team?

one thing is for sure is that i would…worst after sales ever

one thing is for sure is that i would never purchase from this company again. Issues with repairs on a new washing machine appliance, repair guy called to look at my machine ignorant beyond belief he was. he had no clue what he was at. he said my machine was fine and left. it was anything but fine. i had to go through a loop hole again to try and get someone. no one answers the phone lines. i was on hold for 30 minutes each time. then phone goes dead, you can tell you are being cut off purpously. only way to get through to these is via whats app. even this is challenging and frustrating with absoloutley no help what so ever. eventually i got a guy who called and said i needed a new pump. which he kindly replaced. but now machine is giving trouble again.and I have gone through the same loop holes again. bare in mind my machine is not even two years old. worst after sales i have ever experienced.never agin would i purchase from these again.

Hotpoint used to be what we called the Ford Escort of appliances (I used to do domestic repairs) - they were middle of the range, reliable for a good few years and simple to repair when they went wrong, now they’re made as cheaply as possible (opened my washer dryer up after it failed and found it was rebadged Candy🙄) We have always bought Hotpoint in the past, at the moment we have a dishwasher and washer dryer both which are showing faults just after the warranty expiration….. Never ever again will I buy this utter rubbish, used to be cheap and cheerful - now expensive and built cheaply as possible to just outlast equally useless warranty.

No Guarantee Service Access

My washer-dryer broke down at six months old so under guarantee but when I try to contact them for a repair it is near impossible. They have no contact for guarantee on the websites or links and try to force you down a route where you will pay instead. The day after I got the chat option to get me to an agent who gave me a number that keeps breaking up their end. When I told the agent the telephone was not working they suggested I try again tomorrow.
I can't believe a famous and established brand can have such near non-existent customer service.
Today they gave me a number but it keeps dropping out so I cannot make any connection at all. I have now tried 6 times. This is appalling.
I next tried the chat on the website again and it is now not working. Unbelievably bad service.

Lodówka tragedia

Lodówka tragedia. No Frost którą trzeba rozmrażać co 10 miesięcy bo wogle nie chłodzi. Zdecydowanie odradzam. Stare lodówki trzeba było rzadziej rozmrażać niż lodówki hotpoint no frost

Shame you cant give no stars.
Hotpoint have no one to answer phones and no email address. You have to do it through Whatsapp who does not understand what you are saying and takes forever to respond. This is especially difficult when you are 80 and not good with technology. Will be writing and old fashioned letter to the head of company and sending it signed for! The 6 month old fridge freezer costing £900 if falling apart. DO NOT BUY A HOTPOINT APPLIANCE it will reduce you to tears

Daylight robbery of old people

On the website it says customer service is open 8am - 6pm Mon-Fri. When you call, it's 8.30am- 5pm. My mum is 87 and bought a washing machine 3 years ago. It has broken. She called Hotpoint, they charged her £149 to come out, but the engineer couldn't fix it. The engineer said he would return the following week with a new part. The following week the engineer didn't come so she called customer service. They told her there was nothing wrong with her machine. So... £149 for WHAT?

Shocking service hotpoint. She's 87!!

La mia è davvero stata in odissea ed è…

La mia è davvero stata un odissea ed è ancora in atto . Lavatrice Ariston hot point 9 kg motore inverter . Sin dal primo lavaggio la macchina ha dati F05 . Ho chiamato subito il venditore che mi ha subito scaricato all assistenza . L’assistenza e intervenuta su e limita ad accendere la macchina (nonostante io avessi un elevo di anomalie ) e mi incida ad estrarre il tubo di scarico dal
Muro . La lavatrice non fa più errore ma di fatti non lava il bucato . Assenza di scatta ecwusl poco presente ristagna sotto il cestello e nel filtro . L’acqua puzza di acidi e chimici così come il bucato . Dopo video foto dopo aver chiamati 5 idraulici e Canajet esasperata ho cambiato anche casa .. ma io problema non è mai cambiato . Esausta ed esasperata riesco ad avere un nuovo intervento dove mi viene sostuita interamente la vasca . loro
dicono di farlo per mero scrupolo comminando ad insistere che la macchina se avesse problemi darebbe qualche errore . E se fosse proprio la scheda ad avere una programmazione errata ? Una lettura sballata ? Fanno la sostituzione impostano la macchina a lavaggio cotone 90 gradi a vuoti e vanno via . Dopo un paio d’ore metti degli asciugamani . . La situazione non è cambiata . L’acqua dello scarico è nera o grigio . Il
lavaggio peggiora ad alte temperature e l’acqua è visibile nell oblò solo a programma piumini o risciacquo . Diversamente con tutti gli altri programmi l’acqua è assente … sembra lavorare a secco . . Io mo avvalgo del fatto di aver segnalato il tutto al primo lavaggio .. loro insistono nel dire che la macchina è funzionante e priva di anomalie e continuano a darmi lezioni di bucato di asciugatura e di scelta di prodotti che nulla hanno a che vedere com il risultato del bucato . consuma i panni . Li macchia , gli sfibra .. e lo restiidce come se fossero stati cotti non lavati . ho foto e video di ogni lavaggio .. e quei pochi lavaggi sono stati quasi fatti tutti per inviarli all assistenza perché di fatti per avere il bucato pulito
sono dovuta ricorrere alle lavanderie automatiche . I tecnici de pur preiststi nonnhsnno voglia de fare un controllo accurato . A mio avviso a questo punto è un difetto di produzione . La scheda forse non legge correttamente i cicli e questo compromette il bucato .
Ho invitato via mail l’azienda a ritirare il prodotto in essere e di testarlo con le proprie mani e vedere con i loro occhi il risultato pessimo del bucato e con L olfatto la puzza che la lavatrice emana già in corso di lavaggio . Chiedo che questa recensione venga presa ok considerazione perché non avete la minima idea del danno che questa storia ha causati nel mio quotidiano . Oggi ho anche contattato altro consumo perché sono arrivata davvero allo stremo … in azienda seria alla vista di quell acqua di scarico putrefatta come minimo avrebbe ritirato la macchina per fare un controllo approfondito

Avoid! Don’t waste your time or money

This is a joke! Been on phone 1 hour 22 minutes no one answering! Rang a number i spoke to yesterday to be told Sorry we are training be back on at 1pm. So the otber number must be training too!
Customer service is so bad its untrue! Avoid this company.

Hotpoint Service doesn't even deserve 1 star

Do not buy a Hotpoint appliance!

I will start by saying that when they actually arrive I have never had a problem with the engineers.

However, Hotpoint Service continuously cancel your engineer appointments, usually within 30 to 60 minutes before they are due to arrive, no apology, no explanation, just a faceless text message.

This is then followed by them rescheduling an engineer appointment and not bothering to turn up to that one either, and the cycle of not turning up continues!

I am now on the 3rd rescheduled appointment, so I will be cutting my losses and getting rid of my Hotpoint washer (thankfully my insurance company agrees that the levels of service are extremely poor and have agreed to write it off).

Hotpoint will definitely not be the make of my next washer.

Unprofessional and Useless - Avoid Hotpoint!

These guys are rude and aggressive - A very worrying culture in that workplace!
There is a never ending phone loop and when you get connected you get transferred to another queue.
They are rude and unhelpful.
One member of staff told me that I had probably broken the oven myself (it turned out to be a faulty "mother board") and when I challenged him he said "I'm allowed to speculate and I'm entitled to my opinion". I made a complaint and was told the process was internal so I wouldn't be informed of the outcome.
The oven was eventually refunded (and I purchased a different make) but I had to wait over a month without a working oven, spent hours on the phone.
These people are not professionals - avoid Hotpoint!

Never again will I buy anything…

Never again will I buy anything Hotpoint!! I bought a cooker on the 20/2/26 the main oven hasn’t worked since I got it and they came to fix the thermostat on it twice none of these worked now I’m waiting on a third visit for another thermostat. It’s appalling can’t get any sense out of Hotpoint customer services. They are useless

Over a month later and my oven is still not fixed. Currys are not taking responsibility so having to to get onto trading standards. Absolutely disgusting behaviour.
