We bought the Brass Opal Disk Ceiling Light. It’s a lovely design but two different electrician’s have said how cheap and flimsy the light is.

After waiting nearly 12 weeks for it to be delivered, the threads on the base of the light would not screw into the wire rods leaving threads on show. We got the light fitted 30 days after it was delivered and houseof did send a replacement so we can’t fault the customer service although we were only offered a discount code for the trouble. However, the second one has the exact same issue albeit not as bad as the first. The light also hangs a little wonky probably because of the bulb placement, and it’s so flimsy! For £300 you would expect a higher quality. We have now paid for two electricians to fit two faulty lights.

We have had a few lights from here over the years but it has put us off ordering again. Based on the faults, how flimsy it is and both electrician’s comments, you might as well get a similar looking one from Dunelm! Safe to say we won’t get the use out of that discount code!

Since you do not reply on email, and there is no other way of contacting you. Can you please reply to my question on email? You need to provide the CE certificate for my purchase.

I bought a ceiling light from Houseof in 2019, and six years later, it’s still in perfect condition and looks as beautiful as ever. During a recent house move, I accidentally broke the glass part of the light, but Alex at Houseof quickly arranged a free of charge replacement for me.

I’m honestly completely blown away by the level of dedication of the customer service team. I’ve never experienced anything like it (special shout out to Alex!), so proactive and persistent and going further than the extra mile to try and resolve my issue. My son broke the special bulb/ shade in our lamp and the team has done everything possible to help get a replacement. I’ll be buying all my lamps here from now on!

The design of their products is industry-leading, and their customer service is brilliant. I dealt with Alex Lumen from their customer services team today, and he was extremely quick, friendly and helpful. It's refreshing to receive such great customer service.

Exceptional customer service. I had an issue with a light I bought months ago (my own fault) and they were so helpful and sorted a solution for me. I'm really so pleased. The quality of their products is amazing too.

Purchased an outfit last week. Nothing has arrived within a week. No reply to social media message or email. Very disappointing

The £10 coupon promised arrived too late for me to use it. The more you buy from them, the more you pay for delivery. That's nonsense.

Beautiful product

Good products, but pricey but good on time delivery

I love the product however I had issues putting it together. I have sent 2 mails to the 'help' e mail asking for assistance - no reply very disappointing. However I now u derstand that neither of my mails were received, so this explains it. Lamp looks great.

Waited a wee while for the Sand Opal Disk well light come back into stock and I was not disappointed. Not only is it by far and away the best looking light I could find for our bedroom in the eaves (the ceiling light is on the angle) but the quality has been excellent.

Actively trying to find other rooms that need a Houseof light fitting now!

Not workable for US market - voltage is wrong, plate to connect with gang box is wrong, and instructions clearly state “indoor use only.” When I reached out, I was invited to return the fixtures but at my cost for shipping.

Easy to put together. Beautifully crafted. And sturdy!

Their customer service is excellent - many thanks Sara for her help in sending out a replacement part so quickly and free of charge.
