Unresponsive support & bad app experience.

Their customer service is completely unresponsive. The phone line doesn't work and your emails will never get a response. I was overcharged two separate times - once accidentally activating a bike i wasn't near (and being unable to photograph and cancel it) and another time when lack of connection made me unable to end a ride. Wanted to like them because of the sustainability commitments (probably greenwashing mind you) however I am done with the app.

Useless service

Useless service, I am paying almost £40 for never finding a bike near me afterwork, regardless of the day of the week, or if bikes are actually on their "live" map they aren't actually at the location or impossible to rent. I have contacted them two weeks ago about this situation and still expect an answer... go for competition, this is pure theft

⭐️ Avoid Forest - Charged for a broken bike, awful support
Headline: Glitchy app, terrible customer support, and wrongful charges!

This was my first time trying to use Forest, and it will absolutely be my last.

I found a bike parked incorrectly and didn't even scan the QR code, but the app somehow glitched and unlocked it anyway. When I touched the bike, the alarm started blaring. Because it was clearly malfunctioning, I left it there and had to hire a completely different bike for my trip.

Despite never actually riding it, Forest charged me for a 5-minute ride and claimed I "submitted an end-of-ride photo"—which is a total lie.

To make matters worse, their customer support took over a week to reply, only to send a completely dismissive, factually incorrect response refusing to acknowledge their system error. If you look at my account, you can clearly see I immediately rented a different bike because the first one didn't work.

They will charge you for their own technical mistakes and then ignore you for a week. Save yourself the headache and use a different bike provider. Highly unprofessional.

So sick of moving these bikes out of my doorway to enter/leave my building! There are evidently no consequences for the riders who do this as it keeps happening.

I recommend caution if thinking of using Forest...

I would recommend caution if you're thinking of using Forest. I paid for a monthly subscription and in the last few weeks have experienced multiple issues with availability of working bikes nearby, issues with the app that mean rides could not be ended (which means more £££ for Forest) and in one incident, waiting 10 minutes whilst trying to end a ride, raising a support ticket to end the ride so I could get to work only to find that someone had then ridden the bike after me and I had been charged for it.

Agree with other reviewers on the unacceptable support. I logged a support case via their live chat (bot) as the call centre was "closed due to unforeseen issues" and am yet to receive a response a week later despite following up with several emails.

Some very questionable things going on with this so-called 'ethical' B-Corp business and their (lack of) service.

Avoid like the plague. Use Lime. Unless, like me, Forest have somehow persuaded your local authority to ban the competition - the only way they can get customers I’d hazard.

My account has just been blocked clearly in error!!

WHICH LEAVES ME WONDERING...
What the impact would be if we (i.e. those experiencing poor service) STOPed USING their bikes as a protest?

The e-bikes are convenient, BUT it's incredibly frustrating when they won't start or end (for what should have been a simple journey). Your day is then disrupted speaking with an AI (who then pretends to be a human), or you end up waiting in the long phone cues to discuss mischarged rides or a blocked account.

They know many of us don't have time to waste complaining especially when the phone lines are down or closed and you have to wait days for an email response that fails to address the problem you raised.

SO instead of complaining, why don't we STOP using them for one day... I'm not on social media, if I was I would spread this ASK like wild fire...Hopefully, some other enthusiastic person will take the lead...

I rode a forest bike for the first time…

I rode a forest bike for the first time and I didn’t know that if
You keep riding after pausing it it charges my account. It charged me £27.90
I decided to trust it again today, big mistake,I got off the bike with 33 minutes I thought it was going to charge at least £5.00
They took £31.56 from my account.
I called customer service but was left with an automated response.
I deleted the app and will call again
Forest bike will not see me again.

This dishonest software company steal it’s customers money constantly they never respond if you register a card make sure you don’t put more than £10 and one without over draft otherwise they Will rob you in daylight

I bought a 35 minute ride which I only…

I bought a 35 minute ride which I only use 16 minutes out of it for £3.99. After some few minutes, you guys tried to remove 20 pounds from my account and it didn’t go through cause there’s no enough money on my account. And then today, as soon as I got some money, you guys removed 20 pounds which is not fair.
Why did you take my money?

terrible app
