Useless service, I am paying almost £40 for never finding a bike near me afterwork, regardless of the day of the week, or if bikes are actually on their "live" map they aren't actually at the locatio... Toon meer

I was late getting home to relieve the babysitter, so I decided to download the Forest app and take one of your bikes.
The bike stopped working halfway through the journey. I couldn’t even push it. I messaged the call centre, but they did not resolve anything. I called, but the service was unavailable because of the time. I emailed and only received an automatic reply.
I was unable to end the ride. I couldn’t move the bike. And I was still charged £5 plus £0.60 for a ride that didn’t really happen and only made me even later.
Terrible service. I have deleted the app and I will never use Forest again. And I still don’t even know whether my ride has actually been ended or not.

The app quality is extremely poor.
I was having trouble over the past few days ending ride.
I ended a ride by putting in a ticket and then went travelling, when I came back they had used all my subscription minutes and charged me for extra, over £100
It’s been three days with no response and as much as I love using forest bikes, the app has really missed the mark.
I have had to use lime bike multiple times because I cannot use the forest app and now being overcharged charged is highly disappointing.
They really need to do better with their software. I am so disappointed.

It says on their advertising « £1 for 30 mins ». I downloaded the app, found a bike and rode for 25 mins. I was charged over £9. Very misleading advertising and the bike is super heavy and not very practical.

The bike itself worked very well. Unfortunately I struggled to stop the rental, it’s difficult to find a parking zone in the app, then had to take a number of photos to prove parking as the app kept freezing, adding about 15mins of charges. The chat service was useless.

This company has a massive problem with customer service at the moment, and there is a fundamental problem with the app. I've been charged for 2 x 500 minute bundles (when I only wanted one), and now the bundles aren't working. I've submitted multiple tickets to customer service over the past 10 days and not heard anything back. Phone lines don't work either.

I was charged a £20 penalty for a ride that I do not recognise. I requested ride details and GPS records but have received no response from customer support.

The bikes literally say £1 for 30 mins - I missed my bus and needed to make the train so I rented the bike for 21 minutes and it cost me £7.60! Ontop of that the brakes screamed if I even mildly tapped them and didn’t work very well. Never again.

False advertising and terrible customer service.
I used a promo code that the app accepted, Instead, I was charged over 10 times that amount for a ride lasting roughly 20 minutes.
I raised multiple support tickets, called, emailed several times, and even left an App Store review. Every response was either automated or a generic request to email them again. Despite repeated attempts, no one has addressed the issue or provided a meaningful response.

In one day, a journey was stopped while I was riding the bike (mind you I had only started riding for a mile) and then right as I was crossing a street the bike alarm started to ring and stopped in the middle of traffic and I couldn’t pedal anymore. Then I took another bike, and when I finished the journey it actually didn’t. So I paid extra for a parked bike.
Their bikes are in great condition but their application is so buggy! It put me in a dangerous situation. Account deleted.

That’s it I’m done. The app is worse than terrible, the amount of double charging they get up to and quality of many of the bikes is too much. Deleted the app and moved to lime. far better reviews and feedback from pals. byeee Forest!

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews on here. I’ve had a great experience with Forest bikes every day for the past week and will keep using them. I’ve had one or two bikes that had technical difficulties when I went to use them but there were others nearby that worked fine. They also have plenty of bundles to choose from which work out cheaper than other companies.
Only reason that it’s not 5 stars is because the 10/30 minute free ride bikes don’t apply when you already have a paid for bundle of minutes on your account which makes no sense. Shouldn’t lose out because you have committed to using the company’s bikes

Never use their bike.For the first time I used their bike for 50 minutes and that time I didn’t find any nearest parking place to park the bike . For that reason , they charged me £15 pound. Horrible experience. I just wanted to enjoy but I can’t.

Do not use this terrible company for anything, I was in a bike zone where they had other forest bikes and they still tried to charge me 20 parking charge. Con artists company and still have no responded to my ticket in over a day, do not use them just use lime bike.

Absolutely disgraceful customer service - I signed up to a membership by mistake due to struggling with unlocking bikes as the app was not allowing them to unlock and before I knew it I had been charged £18 for a membership I did not want that I wanted to cancel as I won't be using it.
Have been trying to contact them for days via chat, no replies to my queries. Nobody gets back to you, nobody answers the phone lines. They have just stolen my money and are not even replying to queries. Will never use them again.

This company is a scam, after I asked few times to stop sending me marketing materials and said not interested they send even more.
I already had trouble with them refunding money from an unwanted purchase.
Avoid and look for a different company!!!!!

I downloaded the app few days ago and and used a bike for 5/6 minutes. I have been charged twice, different amount. I then sent multiple emails to ask for clarification but no reply at all. Terrible service, looking like a scam

I increased the star-rating from 1 to 3, as since my review got posted, Forest did offer a refund and acknowledged the issues.
Initial review below:
I had more issues with Forest than pleasant experience however this time I decided I had to voice my concerns. After unlocking my bike, I soon realized the back wheel is badly damaged, and was slightly shaking. I continued cycling in hope of finding another Forest bike, so I can swap them over. Low and behold, there was one a few minutes later, so I quickly ended my ride, and going to unlock the other, only to see it is out of battery. By this point I was already charged £3.64 for 8 minutes. Fine, so I decided to opt-in for the "Day Pass", as it's only a few quid more expensive, but no. Error message. So I had to unlock the same, broken bike once again to continue with my journey. I got charged another £13.54 for this ride, so £18 total with the previous one combined. I messaged Forest costumer service, as I thought this is unacceptable, riding in dangerous conditions, being forced to pay full price, not being able to select the cheaper option as their awful app doesn't work. None of these supposed to be my issue, and should be theirs. A whole month passed since, they completely ignored me, no apology no acknowledgement.
I don't do this often, but honestly, please don't use their service.
