High Quality Gift; 5 star customer service

This is my second purchase from HB & it won't be my last. Purchased the birthstone necklace & earrings to match. Arrived within 48hrs of ordering. Both items are beautiful of high quality & 9ct gold & the gift boxes are lovely too.

Flimsy cheap earrings

Avoid buying their jewellery!
Brought some hooped earrings, which were tiny, I tried to wear them but that flimsy, tiny and impossible to fasten so I can’t wear them at all. so now left with some £60 earrings which are totally useless!
They do not serve a purpose. Cheap jewellery at its finest.

St Christopher

I purchased a St Christopher necklace for my son, 3 months later the clasp on the chain broke. I contact Hurley Burley who sent me a prepaid label and asked me to return the chain, they would either repair or replace. Within 2 days I received an email to say they would be sending me a new chain! What absolutely amazing customer service, with my original purchase and then the no quibble replacement.

I apologise for any initial disappointment caused by this order, however as previously advised there is no fault with the item.

I have gone through extra efforts to ensure that the issue be resolved by sending a video on how to open the bracelet and turn the positioning of the clasp around. So that there would be no need to return the item and wait to receive it back!

As it is a leather item it can naturally be a little stiff before wearing as it has been sitting in one way, it simply needs to be repositioned.

As the item is personalised and is not faulty, there was no need for a replacement.

I have not since received a response to my previous messages, and therefore I hope you have managed to have the clasp positioned inwards ok and that you are now happy with your item. I hope you can reconsider your review after resolving this issue.

A bracelet was bought for my child and…

A bracelet was bought for my child and within 2 minutes of trying it on, she caught it on her table and it broke. Numerous emails were sent to Hurleyburley explaining she hadn’t had the bracelet for 5 mins and it was broken and I asked if they could repair or replace it. Customer service was so bad, it took ages for them to respond. When they did come back to me, they said the bracelets are a keepsake!!! Not sure how they can expect people to pay all this money and not wear the items!! Absolutely disgusted with the way they’ve handled this and their silly policies of not repairing or replacing items. I will never purchase from them again and I’d like to warn others that there is no guarantee with damaged items.

Excellent customer service

I ordered a chain from germany. Sadly the german delivery service lost my parcel and apparently they couldn't track it afterwards. Thanks to the very friendly and fast customer service I got sent a replacement within a very short amount of time. I am very pleased with the gift itself and, as mentioned, the very good customer service. Definitely recommend them, 10/10

Beautiful, but a bit disappointing

Firstly the positive comments, pretty silver bracelet with a heart lobster clasp, nice chain links and perfect size. I have always had 5 star customer service from HB. Secondly I was a little disappointed that the engraved Letter S was very faint you could hardly see it, also would have been better if the S had been engraved on both sides of the clasp and finally the other end of the bracelet chain didn't have a O ring so the bracelet looked incomplete. If these points were fixed it would have been perfect.

Leather triple wrapped bracelet

So disappointed with this company and…

So disappointed with this company and their customer service.
I bought what I assumed was a pair of earrings only to actually receive 1 earring.
I emailed that I had only received 1 and was informed that the order was only for 1 earring and not a pair.
Apparently if I want a pair (for two ears) then I need to order another earring and pay for postage again.
This was a gift that I can not return so I had to go to a jewellery shop and buy another pair and yes they sold me a pair, not just one!
I will not be using this company again and wish I had read the reviews first!

The particular earring you ordered is sold as one stud individually for people who want to accessorize differently, there's an option to add a second initial if you want to make it a complete set, but we do clearly advertise that this particular earring is only sold as one, including in the description on the storepage.

"Please note: price is for one earring, choose up to three initial studs for an additional cost."

We've taken care not to describe it as a plural item (i.e. earrings) to communicate as clearly as we can that the earring is an individual item. I'm sorry for any disappointment this has caused you, please do bear in mind though we have done the utmost to advertise the earring clearly and properly to prevent any misunderstanding.

The quality of the plating and base metal is extremely poor. The ring and necklaces I bought turned black in a matter of days. When contacting the company about it they didn't offer any solution, just excuses saying it was probably some liquid I used. Terrible service and quality. I am very sorry that you were not happy with your recent order from us.

I just want to clarify as I have to the other review you have left us, I did not by any means try to blame you at all, I just wanted to explain that given sterling silver is a sensitive metal it may have been the case that something as innocent as a moisturizer, perfume, aftershave, etc. might have irritated the metal and cause the discoloration. This was not intended to place blame, just to help provide one possible explanation as to why this might have occurred.

We did offer to receive back your ring in order to remove the tarnished effect for you, and given that the necklaces you ordered were already sent elsewhere we refunded them on this occasion for the frustration this caused you, so we did offer a solution in that respect.

Upon further discussion at our offices it sounds as though your ring has oxidised, a very natural process that occurs when sterling silver is exposed to more humid conditions or household chemicals that are almost constantly present. We can happily look at fixing this for you as I have already offered if you wish to message us against your order number to arrange a return.

No return window exception despite Christmas

Bought a bracelet from the men’s section of the site thinking it would be more than big enough for my slim 14 year old son. It won’t even close it’s so tight - so clearly not a man’s size. I tried customer service and was told as it was bought more than 28 days ago it’s not eligible for return or refund. Every company I know extends their returns window around Christmas as they know people spread the cost over a couple of months. Not this one apparently. Wouldn’t recommend, regret the almost £67 I spent with them and definitely won’t be returning.

Is it real silver??? Received mens chain with angel wings…

Received mens chain with angel wings and tag. Web site I am extremely annoyed to find that this item is not as described on web site. Web site says -
‘ Polished sterling silver angel wing and personalised silver dog tag on an oxidised sterling silver ball chain’
‘ All made from 925 hallmarked sterling silver’

They are not hallmarked. Chain says ‘25’ - not a recognised hallmark.
The wing and tag are not hallmarked.
The joining rings are not marked- and are not soldered but crimped

The whole item is not as described. Is any of it even silver???
