Place is shady as I'll get out. How anybody dose business with these people is amazing. $200 registration? 4 what? Nobody speaks English. Nobody can answer simple questions!!!. Place is a joke. Don't waste your money here

By far the worst auction to purchase from. The customer service is terrible. Cars get misrepresented often, and fees are outrageous

Do not believe what they say, especially engine starting videos & Run & Drive. I bought a Toyota pries. After deliver, I checked the oil, no oil in the engine. Oil leaking under, when I added oil, leaking. They have started the engine without oil. Broken engine. It was my first & last with IAAI auction.

Absolutely appalling.
Apparently because someone has lived at my address previous to me I can't open an account with iaai as they said I have the same address as a previous account holder. They are going to regret discriminating against me because I will be taking it further. They sent an email saying they won't approve it because of the above reason, and that actually against discrimination laws. If they had just denied my account without reason that would be legal. Their reason is it legal and pathetic. Enjoy the fine coming your way.

Purchased a 35 k car had crazy amount of fees on top the car had hidden damage way more then the hail in the pictures the pictures dont show the full damage and description of the cars be safe guys its not a good deal and the auctions are selling these cars which are not worth market value for full prices I could have just bought a fairly new clean title no claims car same car for 38k anywhere else

Not trustworthy at all. No transperancy when dealing with the customer and even less decency when doing their job!

IAAI misplaced my wire transfer into another account - their error - and then charged me storage fees while they try to fix the problem. Two days later I am still trying to pay for my vehicle with the funds already sent in. Their local offices are great but their national buyer services department is beyond unhelpful.

Try Copart instead

This auction is a complete scam to the general population and public . There live auctions are a very big scam and rigged up to the maximum look at the reviews on trust pilot? All these auctions are a complete scam . Stay away from them at all costs and do not trust trust pilot as it's another corrupt company too they are breaking all gdpr rules there's is nothing you can do it about this company also known as motorhog it has a very bad reputation in the market

Don't place bids. Lately, the system has been automatically stacking bids. If you place a bid, they'll automatically approach the maximum stack to take all your money. I've been buying on this auction for seven years, but now they've turned into scammers. They also claim the title is clean, but a month after purchase, it becomes a total loss (salvage).

Very bad experience. Not a customer friendly company. Beware!

Won a ford focus in iaa was from Doncaster the car has finance owed when I did hpi check diddent pay for it as you cant even contact them no more on live chat i sent them an email still nothing back from hhem account is now suspended iaa is shocking place to buy from now should never have bothered buying synetiq that's where it went downhill shocking place 0 stars

Bought a car from Charlottes Salvage on Synetiq auctions a few years ago. Bidded 3 hours before at £1430 and was the highest bidder at £720 until 10 minutes before the auction started. Then at 10 minutes before auction end, the bidding went up in £10s none stop within 10 seconds all the way up to £1420 and then stopped. Won that car and thought this is too dodgy. I rang Charlottes Motors who claimed they don't have an idea. But it was definitely 1000% an inside job.

Hidden damages and description of all vehicles listed and fuel taken out before releasing vehicle. Please be careful with Synetiq/IAA. Starts and drives does not mean no issues Had radiator damaged with no coolant. So totally f×××ed not worth what paid for the vehicle.

total scammers, delays payment clearing in bank in order to add an extra late fee and a storage fee.

Scammers like everyone else. Broken engines but hidden from you with their trickery. I bid there super low assuming the worst and then it works.

Be careful, they sell cars that in the photos uploaded by the auction actually hide their damages, then hide behind the terms and conditions, I bought a car and the photos did not show the damages and the description did not describe anything, I call this a scam

I bought a car from IAA UK in [month/year]. The auction listing and VIN data showed the engine code as CUNA (GTD spec, 184PS), but when I collected the vehicle it was fitted with CRBC (150PS).

When I raised this, IAA told me they rely on VIN database information, do not guarantee listings, and offered only to relist the car for £99. I was disappointed as I relied on the listing when bidding, and their terms even state they cannot exclude liability for misrepresentation.

This is simply my experience, but I would advise future buyers to be cautious and carry out their own checks before bidding.

Don’t use this company. Scammers just take your money and sell cars knowing they have issues not listed
