Fraud Departments of banks don’t like you sending the minimum £5k to open account in first instance and sending an initial £10 is bounced, followed by the balancing £4990.

Irritatingly still have not accommodated joint accounts.

Quick and easy process to join. Interest went straight into my chosen bank account. Good interest rates, better than high street banks. Would definitely recommend

Opening the online Flexi Saver account was easy but realising you can’t change where your interest gets paid is irritating and making me want to close the account. It just doesn’t make any sense to me.

Also I cannot believe it’s all on the browser with no app. In this day and age.

Why offering simultaneously a LOWER RATE for
2026-27 ISA than 2025-26 ISA. ?
Not fair !

It was very easy to open accounts with Investec once you have had the necessary security check. The interest rates are very good.

Easy site to use so setting up account was very straightforward instructions and information are very clear and precise.
Would recommend to anyone even those more technically challenge.

So quick and easy I renewed again this year as I like it is so easy to arrange no problem at alll

It is easy to invest with Investec. Instructions are clear and their digital platforms are user-friendly.

simple to do and worked OK, but 2 weeks later the interest rate went up and i couldn'e take advantage of that - should have waited to closer to end of financial year

Investec was extremely eager to promote all their services and before I had signed up with them, they were timeous and attentive to my questions. After signing up with them, the sales rep who I had called to discuss creating an account also became my new private banker. Rukudzo was never available unless I waited until the next day for a response to his emails even though I was contacting Investec via WhatsApp and email during early working hours. I was promised 24/7 banking assistance and a team of two private bankers and two financial advisors along with an Investec jacket. I received none of these promises. My financial advisor was Georgia Hill if I’m not mistaken but I was unfortunately unable to attend my first financial advisory meeting, that i had to organise because nothing would have happened if i had waited for my “team” to contact me, due to me being in a car accident. I received no check in from this “team” and when I wanted to reschedule a meeting, they were all busy with strategy meetings for entire working days meaning that my emails/whatsapps would only be responded to the day after and I would have to schedule meetings at least a week in advance like this. Rukudzo and Georgia were extremely unhelpful when it came to applying to finance my car, take out a loan and such to the point where I just gave up contacting them. When I had relayed to them how unhappy I was with their service, I was met with nothing. When closing my account, they were extremely unhelpful and ambiguous with helping me. Overall, I’m appalled at investec’s client service and discourage as many individuals as I possibly can from signing up. I was able to open an account with RMB private banking and they were extremely attentive to my needs, very flexible with their hours as I am working in healthcare and have very rigid hours, and they were very transparent about their benefits and processes for onboarding.

As a previous customer I returned to Investec this year as they were offering competitive fixed rate products. I find their website easy to navigate and the account opening process straightforward. Their communications are timely and easy to understand.
