Please be careful. I been preparing my own taxes for years and I normally use the same service but I just wanted to give them a chance. When you get to the bank information you have to enter it twice and it’s your taxes so your extra careful well everything looked good and once the Ira accepted it I got to look at the actual return and noticed that the routing numbers were different and the account number had my SSN number and another SSN number that I have never seen. So now that’s going to be an extra delay. Never again

This is my fifth filing with Jackson Hewitt. They have good tax prepares. Unfortunately they keep increasing their fees feastically. My professional tax preparer took 15 minutes to do my filing. I was charged $325 after a 25% discount I received from JH. Although I like their services but I will think twice before filing g next year with them because God knows how much they will charge me

The lady who filed my taxes was sweet she made sure everything I had to do was done properly and in a time manner

They were very rude. They told me to get copies of my taxes online. I have no printer. I asked that they make copies as I had just paid almost 300 dollars and they got an attitude and told this one time they would. One time? This is the last time I use them. I’m sorry I took up 25 minutes of their precious time.

I can't believe how much I was charged for a simple tax refund, was not told upfront that it was going to cost me 900 dollars, I asked the lady who did my taxes was it going to cost me a lot of money she shook her head no, I will call better business b and a lawyer, just can't let this go without trying to get some of the money back, or at least get the word out to people not to use Jackson Hewitt,hope this reaches head office

I am writing to formally express my profound dissatisfaction concerning the tax preparation services I received at your office on [Date of Visit, if remembered, otherwise omit]. While I initially appreciated Ms. Betty's patience and positive demeanor during the process, subsequent review of my tax return has brought to light several deeply concerning issues regarding billing transparency and professional conduct.

My primary concern revolves around the preparation fees levied for my return. I was utterly dismayed to discover a substantial preparation fee, exceeding $600, included in my final tax documents. This charge was neither communicated to me verbally nor clearly outlined prior to the completion of my return, making it an unauthorized and unexpected deduction. Had I been informed upfront of such a significant cost, particularly when far more affordable online alternatives exist (e.g., $24), I would have undoubtedly chosen a different course of action. As a single mother, the unexpected and unexplained appropriation of such a considerable portion of my anticipated refund is not only financially burdensome but also emotionally distressing.

Furthermore, I was highly disturbed by a blatant disregard for client confidentiality and professional decorum during my visit. I inadvertently overheard another tax preparer engaged in a conversation on speakerphone, discussing confidential client information and using inappropriate language, including profanity, within earshot of other clients. This incident created an unprofessional and uncomfortable environment, and it raises serious questions about the ethical standards maintained within your establishment.

I have already communicated these grievances to Samuel and was informed that I should expect a call from Latonia to discuss a resolution. I am still awaiting this promised contact.

I expect a thorough investigation into these matters. Specifically, I request a comprehensive review of the charges applied to my tax return, a clear and satisfactory explanation for the lack of transparency regarding fees, and a full refund for all unauthorized charges.

Please understand that I take these issues very seriously. Until a satisfactory resolution is reached, I intend to share my experience across various public platforms to ensure that potential clients are fully aware of the practices I encountered

I had 3 tax form (W-2, 1099-int, 1099-sa). it costs me 670 dollars. I don think it is right price.

Gabby is an excellent lady to go to for all tax purposes, have used her last 3 yrs in greenwood and don't like anyone else. Very social and reaches out about anything, highly recommend.

After having a bad online experience with H&R Block software, I decided to got to Jackson Hewitt at Walmart. The experience was very good, the cost was not. I hope H&R Block fixes their online software for a better experience. I had done H&R for last three years with no problem, but this year couldn't find a TRS form and had problems finding the correct 1099 for normal distribution.

I am experiencing a family medical emergency involving my child in the ICU. Despite this, Jackson Hewitt continues to redirect me to call centers without coordinating resolution, preventing access to funds needed for transportation to the hospital. The corporate office has stated my funds are “in progress” at one of their 3rd party facility banks that I did not enter a contractual agreement with. This is day 17. They are insisting that I continue to call numbers I’ve already called, instead of having ANYONE call me- as again- I have a child actively fighting for her life in the ICU- yet they refuse to do anything. I’ve also contacted the local offic, and they have not called back. I’ve filed a complaint with the Indiana attorney general, the bbb, and I will be seeking representation. I’ve reached out to the CEO and on various social media platforms.

Well. We paid $778.00. To get our taxes done. And only got back 1479.00 back..just a plan w-2 ???

I would never file taxes with Jackson Hewitt again I basically worked all year to get nothing and y'all get everything this was the worst tax year experience of my life all year to only get less than $500

I had Nicole at wallmart in Harrodsburg kentucky and she was very helpful and was quick to awnser any questions we had. Great service do recommend.

Day made my day! First visit to Hewitt in Walmart in Oakdale, MN. She was super friendly, well prepared, asked the right questions to get the job done quickly, and I would go back to her again in a minute. I was impressed with the whole process. Day's follow up with my property tax form needs was also explained clearly. Good, friendly service - doesn't get better than that.

I have been working with Sebastian Office of Jackson Hewitt accountant Bob G . He is professional and friendly. Bob explains your tax return and answers all your questions. His receptionist Mary is professional, helpful, and kind. You feel like part of the family when you are there.

I just want to give a huge thank you to Sarah from the Banksville road location who called me after I went to the Moon location in Walmart and did not have a positive experience. Sarah called me and spent time on the phone and corrected my return and I have beyond happy. Highly recommend her and will return next year.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I went in there spent 4 hours having my 1099 taxes filed from 20-24 she completely screwed my taxes up, didn’t tell me that someone had illegally filed taxes in my name in 2021 for a previous year and put all the wrong information in for the year 2020 and no telling what other years after. I am seeking counsel on this matter with the irs and with their corporate. The fact thst I was done wrong when I came to someone I trusted to do my taxes right. There’s no telling how many other people this has been done to.
