Got married in 2021 and am on disability... never had to file before...told him we got married,on disability and he said ok...did this for 2 years...got a letter in 2024 saying I owed money for 2022 because my disability is now taxable...went to Kent City FL to straighten it out in aug 2024 and he basically called me a liar...went above him to Mary...oh I'll handle it and send you vouchers to pay for it...lies, she sent me vouchers but it said I had to mail a check... called, asked about it...oh it's ok just mail it in, it will pay for it...fast forward to dec and I have to pay a total of 4450. For both years...go back and I'm called a liar again and oh well have to get back to you...even my tax guy bill admitted he didn't know I had to pay taxes on it...but somehow Jackson Hewitt is trying to blame me? This is why I pay someone to do my taxes! Even though they have a 100% accuracy guarantee that you don't have to pay extra for if they mess up, don't believe it their just like all other big companies... don't want to do what's right and honor their word... it's all about the money...just disgusted

I use love using Jackson hewitt here in Baltimore, ms Brenda was the best until she got sick. I went to a new location in Baltimore, until the lady called me a lair because my mom passed away and I claimed my mom every year. She wasn't going let me claim my on my mom on my taxes I had the death certificate. I got my information before she could put it in the system. I left and set in my car and cried. I did get them done and did get my refund back. Since then I made my mind up that I will never use jackson hewitt again, that was 2023

Robbery
I’ve used JH for 3 years now. I am a single mom getting no help currently. This year I was laid off 2 days before I came in to do my taxes. It’s why I came in so early. The last 2 years I had been charged between 2-300 each year which I accepted for the 45 minutes of work.
This year I only had 1 W2 and they charged me $787.00, because “they have to extra for earned income and head of household credits.” I was shell shocked but accepted it as I need the return to live on. Fast forward 10 days, I get hired on as a temp at a tax prep office where the highest rates for my filing status is $2-250. I feel robbed and raped and will not be going back to Jackson Hewitt ever after this.

If I can give a zero I will. The District Manager name is Saul Mejia is the most unprofessional and the most unqualified person I ever seen. I'm not sure how he became a manager and who hired him ??!! This guy scamming people with the tax preparer job letting them first pay around $200 to get the PTIN and CTED ID and will let you study in 10 days 26 sessions and when you are about to finish it, he will stop to respond to you. What a low standard company. I just want to know why this man even getting a salary if he can't answer the phone or text back. If I were the owner I will terminated him on the spot. wasting other people time and money and efforts. I'm sure their services very bad as you see other comments when you hire a low educated and a low IQ people in the wrong place.

Jackson Hewitt in Gadsden, Alabama was excellent, Lisa Williams is the best, very nice and good at what she does

Picture this: customers so frustrated they are yelling at each other. The Jackson Hewitt man says nothing.

Jackson Hewitt called us to set an appointment and we confirmed it before leaving the house. We arrived on time as they took someone else. Then we waited about 2.5 hours in the floor. Jackson Hewitt keeps saying, “it will be just a few minutes”. Customers are yelling at each other and confused. Especially the Jackson Hewitt man. We left to get our taxes done someplace else. Bad situation here.

The customer service was Great. She was very knowledgeable, understanding , and helpful. I am satisfied with the overall service.

The tax preparation was well executed. What wasn't appreciated was their providing my contact info to IDWatchdog and enrolling me in an identity protection service that I never requested and wasn't made aware of until IDWatchdog reached out to me for a payment plan. Very unprofessional, and the release of PII, Personally Identifiable Information, was downright disrespectful.

Monique Russell was very knowledgeable and professional

I really needed to get my taxes done . So I stopped in right when they were closing. She stayed and did my taxes. Anywhere else would have had me come back. And she was very nice,quick and accurate. I will always go there from now on to get my taxes done.

We retired and filed a simple form and were charged $225.00. We were loyal customers for 13 years but feel now that we're being taken advantage of. If you can give new customers filing a simple form a $49.00 fee, you could do it for loyal customers as well. Terrible business practice!!

Tried them for the first time today. I went there expecting to pay a little more than I would my tax guy who is retiring, which is why I was going another route. I had normal forms nothing crazy. Three W-2s and an unemployment form and they wanted to charge me over $900 to file my taxes! I just went ahead with TurboTax and got the same exact refund amount that they gave me. They’re just out here, robbing people! It’s insane. I couldn’t believe it!

Mrs Sharon Johnson is by far the best tax preparer I have ever had the pleasure of doing my taxes with. She was so very informative and helped me with deductions I didn’t even know I had or even knew about. I recommend for anyone who is needing their taxes done to come see Sharon Johnson at Jackson Hewitt on market place located next to auto zone in Brenham Tx.

I have been going to Jackson Hewitt for over 10 years and the service has always been excellent. They always give me the most back and charge me the least. Also I love the loan eligibility. If you want your taxes done right, I recommend these guys!

I went to Jackson Hewitt last year and they charged me over $400 to file a joint tax return. I've been going their over 20 years. I spoke to the district manger, and he told me I would get a refund of a $159 , that never happened. They are a rip off.
