Excellent website, unclear shipping info
Excellent website. Order processed and shipped quickly. However, I had no information about which company was doing the shipping and what their process would be. . I received emails about confirming my shipping info that I thought were phishing scam.

Awful customer service
Awful customer service. I'm trying to return a product that wasn't the right size. First I needed to wait for approval -- a completely unnecessary step. Then, after being told it was approved, I was told I would be sent information separately. This has not been sent. I've reached out to customer service and have not heard back.

Browns Cuban Panama Hat
Hat looks great and fits well. Looks very similar to web. The XL is a little larger than other XLs, but the foam pads compensate well.

Excellent Products, Rude Service
JJ Hat Center offers top-quality products—no question there. I have ordered from them several times over the years. On this occasion I ordered four Stetson flat caps online, in two different orders, I even wrote an enthusiastic review about the first one, but in the second order the caps arrived in the wrong size. Since I was traveling to New York City, and I had had such great experience with my purchases online, I saw this as the perfect opportunity to bring the hats—along with the original box and receipt, directly to the 5th Avenue store and exchange them in the store like I have done several times in several ocassions in several other stores.
What I didn’t expect was the appalling attitude of the staff. They barely acknowledged me, didn’t even listen to my explanation, and treated me as if I were doing something inappropriate by bringing online purchases into the store. They coldly told me I had to return home and mail the hats back—no exceptions, no effort to help, no courtesy. Just a dismissive, almost offended tone. "Or maybe you can find in your country a tailor who fix your hats with a strip of cloth".
I understand if store policy doesn’t allow returns or exchanges for online purchases, maybe I failed to read the fine print somewhere along the purchase process. What I don’t accept is being treated with disrespect. I explained that in my country, returning items by mail is incredibly complicated, expensive, and unreliable. That’s why I brought them to New York with me, but I was only met with arrogance and zero willingness to assist.
Spending hundreds of dollars on premium products should come with at least basic customer service. Sadly, JJ Hat Center failed miserably in that regard.

JJ hats is GREAT! I purchased a Borsalino Hat years ago from them in person; thought I'd try on line for an inexpensive hat.. Hat looks fine- SIZING was off!! I have a very small head (55-56 cm) and so I ordered a "small" - it looks good, but was way oversizer (fixed wirth items to "ADJUST" hat size.
