Awful experience.

My whole order was wrong and I was missing a whole meal and they refused £1. I will be taking this to trading standards

Absolutely disgraceful experience. Ordered through Just Eat and the main item did not arrive. Neither the restaurant or Just Eat want to take responsibility. I have since complained and they have rejected my refund based on my "order history". They would not go into details but then claim under their policies the decision is correct. From what I can gather Just Eat are calling me a liar. I'm not sure I have ever been called a liar by a company. I am absolutely shocked and will never ever use them again.

I am disappointed with how Just Eat handled my complaint regarding order from McDonald’s® – Burgess Hill.

I ordered five meals, and when my order arrived, none of the five meals contained the fries that should have been included with those meals.

I contacted Just Eat about the missing items and provided two video recordings as evidence. One video showed my receipt/order details, and the other showed my Just Eat account and the order I had placed.

Just Eat initially asked me to provide the correct order number, which I did. I was then told that, after looking into the matter, Just Eat would not be able to assist and that I should leave a review with the restaurant.

I replied explaining the issue again and asked Just Eat to review the matter, specifically because I had provided evidence of the order and the missing items. I was subsequently told that they would look into the matter in more detail and get back to me.

My criticism is based on my own experience with this complaint. I paid for meals that were missing items, provided evidence to Just Eat, and did not receive a satisfactory resolution when I first raised the issue.

I understand that mistakes can happen, but I believe customers should receive a clear explanation and appropriate assistance when reporting missing items, particularly when evidence has been provided.

This review reflects my personal experience of how Just Eat handled this particular complaint.

Awful customer service. Ordered food from a restaurant which was awful, arrived cold amd pitatoes weren't cooked properly. Complained to Just Eat as we threw the food away (dog wouldn't even eat it) and was refused and firm of compensation.

Deleted app, never ordering again.

My food was never delivered but it was marked delivered, I called and they were useless and did not care to do anything! Do not order with just eat. I and my toddlers had to sleep hungry as the food was not delivered

Terrible service if things go wrong . Before i start this is not the first time i have had a complaint but they always agree with the other side and deny a refund .Ordered 2 salads costing £34 only to recieve a side salad lots of things missing from the salads . Tried to call the restaurant no one to speak to . Went through just eat for a refund several days later they requested a photo of the salads couldnt believe it why not ask for a photo when i made the complaint who keeps food that long in this heat wave but thats thier way of denying a refund .
I would advice you to take a picture at the time of complaint even though they will only side with the otherside. This should not be allowed they need to be reported . They are taking our money with no regard for the customers .

My first order with just eat, I placed an order to the value of 25 pounds, the order never arrived! But on the app it’s says delivered!
I’d like to know where because it wasn’t my house!
Anyway I messaged them and after 48 hours they have just got back to me and said they can’t issue a refund due to the evidence of delivery?

Absolutely disgusting service. When items are missing. You have to go through just eat not the restaurant. That take 24hrs and more. Then they give you a percentage of refunds. Hideous service. Will not been using JUST EAT ever again

Ordered for the first time, no delivery within 2 hours. After speaking, they said they showed up to my house and tried to call me. No calls, no one came to the house. I have cameras. They then advised they would provide a refund, which had to be done through the JustEat application. JustEat rejected the refund. Deceitful and poor business practise.

Hour and a half wait, cold food, refused refund
Ordered food on Saturday and waited around an hour and a half for delivery. When it finally arrived, the food was cold. I raised the issue and the driver denied there was a problem.
I contacted Just Eat asking for a refund. Instead, they applied £6.16 account credit without me agreeing to that as a resolution. When I asked for a refund to my original payment method, I was then told they couldn’t refund me because the credit they had chosen to apply “couldn’t be removed.”
I challenged that and asked for the complaint to be escalated. Just Eat reviewed it again and still refused a refund, stating this was their final decision.
Poor delivery experience and even worse complaint handling. I won’t be using Just Eat again. Total order was £17 btw so I wasn't even getting dy money back for cold food

Why on earth is this company allowed to continue re the amount of complaints. My daughter who's physical unable to go into a shop ( I usually shop for her) did a shop from Asda for £29. This company arrived at her door with the wrong order. Driver said he'll be back. He didn't return. She phoned asda who said they couldn't do anything. She went online to this company ( you can't seem to speak to a human) they said it had been delivered. Absolute lie. She's £29 out of pocket and its almost impossible to speak to anyone except by email. Goodness knows how many people especially older people are ripped off by this so called company. She's now going through her bank to see if she can claim. She's deleted the app thank goodness. Does anyone take responsibility for the problems they created? ( you should allow a zero on this site)

Ordered food. Waited for 1 hr and the estimated time of delivery kept going up and up untill i got to about a 2hr wait. The eta will just go up and up without any explanation. The #1 worst online delivery service i have ever known. Unreliable, unprofessional and careless. Avoid JustEat at all cost.

Cant be trusted, they require zero proof of delivery other then the drivers word. Driver marked order as delivered but we never received it. Complained to just eat asking for a refund and they rejected it claiming it was marked are delivered. So now we have no food and no money.

Use deliveroo most of their orders require a you to give the driver a code so you won't get scammed.

Many times I've ordered through just eat...many orders missing items or have simply not" Turned Up " ..just eat completely useless and does not care ..in my opinion for the consumer..even after several emails gets me absolutely NOWHERE ! join deliveroo or uber .

Ordered over an hour ago for Macdonald's fast food still saying 45 minutes and going up? Absolute s**t will never order again going bk to Uber eats

I ordered a Burger King and the delivery time was delayed and the delivery person made additional stops and I was the last drop. The food was totally cold when opened. Made immediate notification to just eat, they dismissed the claim for refund’TWICE’. I’ll never use Just Eat again dreadful service by them.

Where is my complaint and where is my refund JustEat? I made a complaint as drink were spilt by the bicycle driver delivering a Mc D's order. The driver then informed us that he's informed the store with the issue. We took several photos of Sprite cup sqeezed out and spilt in the bag. He poured everything in front of my neighbour's door. It's been over a week and no reply from your customer service although we provided photos straight away. Do you think people are idiots here? Refund and at least apologise with some gratitude that we as customers make your business work. Fools.

I’m extremely disappointed with Just Eat and have now had several poor experiences using the platform.
My most recent order was from Barburrito, and one of the items I had paid for was completely missing from the delivery. I contacted Just Eat to report this and requested a refund for the missing item.
Instead of offering a refund or any compensation, Just Eat carried out an “investigation” and then told me they could not issue a refund. No proper explanation was provided as to why my refund was refused.
I find this unacceptable. I paid for an item that I did not receive. The item was missing from my order, yet Just Eat has decided to keep the money I paid for it.
This is particularly frustrating because this is not an isolated bad experience I’ve had with Just Eat. I’ve ordered from the platform several times and have repeatedly been disappointed with the quality of the food and/or problems with my orders.
I understand that mistakes can happen with restaurants and deliveries. What matters to me is how the problem is dealt with afterwards. Unfortunately, my experience has been that when something goes wrong, Just Eat makes it unnecessarily difficult to get the issue resolved.
I’ve now seen the large number of negative reviews about Just Eat on Trustpilot, and unfortunately I can understand why so many customers are unhappy.
After several disappointing experiences, including being refused a refund for food I paid for but never received, I’m seriously reconsidering using Just Eat again.
Very disappointing customer service and very poor handling of customer complaints.
