We really liked the property, but it began to feel like the Letting Agent was already 'spending' his commission when we arrived.
Clearly viewings had been set up to overlap, possibly to create an air of 'urgency,' & we were really shocked when he enquired what our rental 'offer was to be ?
The whole experience left us thinking that even if we were accepted at the advertised rental price, (we weren't in the end) we might end up having to deal with this individual, or other Leaders 'slimey' people, during the life of the tenancy.

IF YOU CARE ABOUT THE SAFETY OF YOURSELF OR YOUR LOVED ONES DO NOT RENT FROM LEADERS!
Don’t rent off leaders they are unsafe, the property manager left a block of flats without a fire alarm system and there has since been a fire, they have shown nothing but distain for tenants who lost their home and they knew the fire system was not working. They left tenants in a building that had been deemed unsafe by the fire service. They have found people accommodation 3 days after the fire but failed to tell them they had to pay £100 deposit which some won’t be able to afford leaving them homeless. The fire is suspicious but leaders and the property manager were aware of ongoing anti social behaviour and failed to act they have also had no heating for 6 weeks which had not been sorted. The distain for human life is unbelievable

Unfortunately I rent from leaders and I haven’t got a good thing to say about them. The building I live in is being left to go to rackand ruin. I have had no heating for 5 weeks and after constantly emailing I just get it’s out of my hands. A neighbour has been waiting for his flat to be repaired after a flood only to be told there’s no mention of carpets on the system. There is a huge leak at the back door which means the outside door won’t close. The fire alarm hasn’t been checked in months. Come on leaders sort it out !

Being told that I had to move out of my rental property two weeks before brain surgery was already very stressful. I asked if they could contact the landlord and ask if I could stay a few months longer because after the surgery I wasn’t allowed to do anything. No response whatsoever from Leaders. Not until I went to the office in person. They had been in contact with the landlord, apparently, just never got back to me. I was also told that them helping me find a new flat was not their job. This is a letting agency.
All in all communication was very bad. Fixing problems could take a long time but complaining didn’t help because they were always in their right.

Katie has been very nice and professional, she was able to help me with my search for a house and has made the whole process nice and easy.

I've used Leaders for many years as a landlord (by default due to a company buy-out). I largely take care of property maintenance and interaction with the tenants, so as far as I'm aware they are quite happy. My problem is the way Leaders operate. I recently had a conversation with a manager, who has failed to complete what we agreed and is now uncontactable - from previous experience Leaders do have a problem with follow through. My other bugbear is the standardized letters I receive about the annual gas safety certificates etc. (Just received another one, again). While it's useful to be sent a reminder that this is due, it isn't that alone. To me they have an underlying threatening character to them, especially when they are repeated. I suspect that having a landlord between them and the property is inconvenient for Leader's and I don't think their business attitude is congruent with being employed by the landlord.

I have been supporting someone who is a first time renter. They attempted to get a property through Leaders. The customer service and support was very poor. In the end they paid a holding fee which was retained in some very dubious circumstances after they were declined the property. This is despite offering a guarantor and trying to work with Leaders. The agent dealing with the case just shut them down and said we are keeping the holding fee. They were very distressed and I feel that they were very unprofessional and unsupportive.

Worst experience ever . I have been using Leader Lettings in Cheltenham and I have had the worst experience - very unprofessional, everything about them - from patronising behaviour to making false statements to myself.
They should not be allowed to be trading.

I was left with no washing machine, dishwasher, or kitchen sink for months, and quotes to repair plumbing were ignored for a full year (until I was moving out, and they needed to get new tenants in).

I've been stuck with a huge bill because Leaders and the landlord ignored the issues, and Leaders are not willing to help. If you're a tenant, you'll have no help from Leaders if your landlord chooses to ignore issues.

Avoid using them, it's not worth the stress -- there are plenty of other estate agents in Cheltenham.

I’d rate fewer than one if I could. The whole experience with this company was tiresome and disappointing. Lack of communication, lack of interest in helping people, and a general sense of feeling as though you’re being annoying if you dare to ask for any news (because they essentially ghost you) is just the start. To top it all off, the agent we had to deal with has lied when we’ve made a formal complaint. Untrustworthy, and disappointing sums up their “customer service”. I look forward to their insincere automated response.

I enquired online about a house for rent and Katie in Cheltenham called me within an hour of submitting the form! She was really friendly on the phone and helpful for booking a viewing with a time that suits me.

Just want to say how helpful Katie was, she answered all of our questions and made the process very easy!

Called leaders to book viewing spoke to a lovely gentleman called piers he was so helpful and took the stress away of finding someone to live very professional and an enjoyable experience, would highly recommend

Unprofessional service throughout the whole tenancy. The agents were missing during the viewing, the property had an ongoing issue of anti-social behaviour for 4 years prior to moving in. When I made the agency aware the denied all claims yet the police and property management company were in agreement that are ongoing issues in the neighbourhood.

It’s very difficult to get a hold of them, I have to wait weeks for a response. Yet when they conduct viewings that don’t provided appropriate notice. I number of times I received a call or text an hour before a viewing without prior notice. They also gave insufficient notice with moving out, I have email proof that wouldn’t be vacated until I found a new place. This wasn’t the case, I was given 2.5 weeks notice and they have kept the overpaid rent after telling me I was entitled to a refund. When they want to get a hold a me then call form multiple numbers even from withheld numbers but now I’m due a refund it’s radio silence.

Issues that were visible and stated in the original inventory are now being flagged as new issues on the move out inventory. This has been a very stressful and unpleasant experience and now they’ve failed to return my rental overpayment

I have been through Leaders for my new property i’m renting. I’d dealt with Maisie, very easy & organised approach with their service.

Emma has assisted me in finding the perfect property! After a week of working together on my requirements and narrowing down the properties which would meet my criteria I have finally found my new home which I feel I’ll be very happy in. As I am new to the area, Emma went out of her way to advise me of local events, eatery’s and cafes which were highly recommended and the best routes on how to get there. Really happy with her service and will recommend Leaders at all costs!

Emma was wonderful throughout our flat-hunting journey, she was proactive with finding suitable places for myself and my boyfriend and also kept us updated through the whole process - we weren't left waiting for ages someone to ring us, everyone at Leaders was great :)
