I have been with this organization as a member for the past 20 odd years. They have been wonderful, though over the years, the sharing rules have tightened. The reason I don’t give this five stars is because most doctors offices have not heard of this, and will not accept this ‘insurance’

We are a Christian, membership-based non-profit organization that facilitates the voluntary sharing of medical expenses among members.
Our programs empower individuals and families to take control of their healthcare costs and management. We offer a compassionate, affordable alternative to health insurance.
Liberty HealthShare does not limit members to a network of providers — you are free to visit any physician you choose. However, members do have access to the PHCS provider network, where participating providers are typically marked with a purple dot on the HST Connect website.

Absolutely worth it!
I’ve been a member of Liberty HealthShare for 10 years, and I can’t imagine going back to traditional health insurance. Their team consistently goes above and beyond, especially when it comes to navigating medical bills. They take the time to explain everything clearly and stay on the phone with you until you fully understand.
Recently, Miss Donna provided exceptional support during a billing issue. She personally called the provider’s billing department, answered their questions, and guided me through the next steps. Her patience and professionalism made a stressful situation much easier.

This is a rip off
Not into writing reviews but this pure totally worthless. My wife had a slip and fall at the bank costing about 7k in medical expenses and not one penny is shareable. Everything is reprocessed, they tell us her dislocated shoulder should have only cost $1267.00 not $4896.00 that the hospital wanted charge. The list goes on and on, of half a dozen items submitted they systemically denied everything. Liberty Healthshares is totally worthless don't buy into the illusion it's trash.

This Healthshare plan was an excellent price, very affordable, and served an important gap for the past 5 years. It works a bit different than group plans, but if you follow their procedures, it works and expenses are shared. I am grateful for Liberty - everyone we ever talked to was kind, helpful, knowledgable.

I was approved for 100% financial aid (FA) through our medical facility here in Washington state but was having issues figuring out how it all worked.
I had spent more than 20 hours on the phone with financial aid (FA) between hold time and talk time, I had also been hung up on twice and was frustrated due to nobody knowing how the FA program worked and unfortunately, I got nowhere.
A week or so later I was told by the FA department that I would need a letter of denial from my Healthshare program.
I emailed LHS for a letter of denial and called a few days later to follow up, that's when I got pushed through to Loris, the best customer service rep. I've had the opportunity to work with in over 20 years!
Loris informed me LHS is unable to send letters of denials which of coarse got me all worked up again. Loris was able to calm me once again and than offered to make a 3-way call to the FA company making sure my dilemma got taken care of, she stayed on the phone with me through 2 holds and was able to get the job done. The hold time was painful but Loris and I spoke over the hold music and when not talking, she continued to let me know she was still on the phone since she heard my stories of being hung up on a few times in earlier conversations with FA.
By the time it was all over Loris looked up, printed and mailed everything FA was needing to get the bills taken care of and my out of pocket expenses are on the way to my mailbox as I speak! Thank-you Loris, you're the best and I hope to get you as my rep. again if needed.

Wonderful experience for almost 10 years. Saved me a lot of money while still being protected. It changed my perspective from being a consumer of insurance to being a consumer of health care. Never had a negative experience. Now moving to Medicare.

This health care program has been great. I have had hospitalization expenses, for which I had to call in, and staff were great. Answered all my questions. I did have to cancel my membership due to the high monthly cost. Overall, my family and I have had a great experience with this health sharing program.

Over the last several years, I’ve found LHS to be great at communicating and easily accessible both online and via telephone. My questions are always answered with care. I’ve had two memberships, with a hiatus while overseas. I returned to LHS as their service and cost are exactly what I require.

I am so impressed with Theresa, a representative working in the billing department of Liberty HealthShare. I have been a member for six years. Despite the confusion and processing delays caused by credit card fraud, she patiently and expertly guided me to what I needed to do to document my past medical payments so that she could explain my unique situation and my past payments could be added to my deductible amount. What a Godsend she is! In times like this, when companies need to back their promises to cover expenses after having been paid thousands of dollars in premiums, she promised to get back to me and hopefully she and her company will instill in me the continued faith in this organization to honor the reimbursements I should be paid!

When submitting my first shareable expense, I was getting some push back from my doctor's billing department. Loris at Liberty HealthShare called the billing department at my doctor's office, with me on the line, and, because she was so nice, they gave her the information that I needed to submit the expense.
