Third time going through the process of giving up and deleting my account in order to start over again to try to get verified by this ridiculous system. How can I login to Morgan Stanley, or Schwab, or Citibank, or Fidelity, or Amazon, with a single password or a fingerprint, and it takes moving a mountain to log into the stupid system.

WORST WORST WORST procedure for using ANY kind of Gov. website- but why am I not surprised?? It's the F-ed up government?? Uploading photos doesn't work and they ADMIT that!! Before forcing us to use this ridiculous system they should make sure the Christing thing works. It doesn't and they don't care. Hackers have an easier time getting into the system than law abiding citizens. Theis government can my ass.

I'd give less if possible. Can't get hold of anyone. The helpline recordings are useless and don't address the issue. Have tried multiple times and days.
The site sends me a link for identification where you have to take a picture of your id but the picture taking does not work. The area highlights and does nothing else.
Contact us: does not work. Automated-useless. Have sent 2 help tickets with no response.
Agree with another. Trump should get rid of this or replace it. It serves no useful purpose and to get other companies to join for id purposes is ludicrous.

login.gov sucks balls! Worst agency I have ever worked with! This should be who Trump gets rid of. Trying to help my 97 year old mother get access to her ssa login. Have been stuck in the same loop for over 5 hours. Tried to verify her identity with photos, still no luck.

Everytime I attempt to get into my SS account via Login.gov, it hangs when it wants to verify my phone number, despite they sent information to my account via that same phone number! I received 7 different letters with new verification codes, yet it always hangs at the phone number verification.

Call on DOGE to rid us of this HORRIBLE Login program! Its bee 4 months and I still can't get into the account nor customer service can figure it out!

2 words for login.gov: Cumbersome and frustrating. It was supposed to make your access to government services more secure and convenient but all it does is block access. Ever since the VA decided to add levels of security by using login.gov, I only have issues. What is the point of having users carry around or memorize a 16 digit key, along with username and password? And, heaven forbid, you don't have your 16 digit key, you have to submit pictures of your identification documents.... AGAIN! This site should be taken down IMMEDIATELY, especially after the inquiries to the GSA about its' security were ignored by the government. I just want to have open lines of communication with my care team at the VA and all this site does is create barriers without any noticable added security.

Login.gov is total crap! I’ve been trying since September 2024 to get this set up and as of March 5 I am locked out of my own MyHealthyVet and Social Security account. Don’t even think about blaming Trump because this whole thing was set up by the Biden administration. And don’t waste your time calling the help line, they are quick to tell you they can’t help.

Thanks to login.gov I no longer have access to the VA and SSA. When one uses their browser to login the user name/email and passwords are automatically stored. I went to login into the VA and check the massage my email said I had. The login said my email and or password is invalid. Do you think I could get a new password to work, but noooo. They sent me an email stating that I had to delete my account and start all over again and everyone know what a killjoy that is. I think I'll wait and see once enough retiree's raise Cain that someone will take notice and come up with a better idea. I've made a half dozen complaints to the VA so far.

This is the worst government login system. It does not authenticate. I updated my password and tried to login. I used the code in my profile and it did not authenticate. You can only use the one time, but in order to get the new or updated code you need to log in. I have tried to update my phone number to use for authentication but it keeps referring to a number i haven't used in 10 years. I have been trying to use government websites for too long to get and update my personal information that is held hostage in a system that will not allow me access. Trying to contact personnel is of no use because they do not answer calls, when they do they know nothing or place you on hold for longer than two hours. LOGIN.GOV is the worst!!!!!!!

I have never had such bad experiences with web and software access as this change. This system needs to be aborted and return to prior means of conducting communications.

I am a USAF retired MSgt, and LOGIN.GOV worked to apply for Social Security, yet, when the very same email address and password if used for the USAF myFSS, the UNITED STATES AIR FORCE abdicated OPSEC to another agency, GSA, and their contractor who is running LOGIN.GOV. This works like this.
ADDITION: THE USAF have created Fraud, Waste, and Abuse called OKTA Verify, and tried to make that abortion Add-On to LOGIN.GOV and effectively create Abuse of Veterans trying to retire; trying to get their Final Retirement Order; Military Retirement; and access their own military records under myFSS.
ANOTHER ADDITION: within TOTAL FORCE under the command of a 2-star General, the CTR s (contractors) and GS s will tell you that you cannot get into myFSS because no profile has been created for the reservist. Just why not? Why was there no access between the time of retiring with a DD256 Honorable Discharge and processing your DD 2656 Retirement form?
Why the Fraud, Waste, and Abuse of Veterans who served and earned their retired ID card and retirement pay.
Write to ARPC and tell them to DOGE OKTA Verify, and stop harassing Veterans.

3. you are directed by your computer to go to a the text message sent to you with a link. You click it
4. then, with your phone you take a photo or upload your state ID
5. then OKTA verify verifies the ID and tells you to go back to your computer and continue trying to access myFSS
6. on the computer, you can see the information populated from your state ID card
7. you verify that LOGIN.gov got it right and don't change anything
8. then you enter your social security number, the same number that is on hundreds of military documents
9. show the number so you don't mishit a key
10. verify the social security number and hit SUBMIT
11. then LOGIN.GOV says "We couldn't find records matching your personal information"
12. Then GSA / LOGIN.GOV gives you 4 tries and locks you out for 6 hours.
13. repeat process and Veterans are denied service
14. USAF VETERANS ARE DENIED ACCESS TO myFSS by GSA
HOW DID LOGIN.GOV WORK FOR SSA - SOCIAL SECURITY, BUT THE VERY SAME EMAIL AND PASSWORD DON'T WORK TO ACCESS myFSS FOR THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE
LOGIN.GOV IS NOT EVEN A 1-STAR, IT IS A ZERO
WHOEVER THE GENERAL OFFICER IS IN THE AIRFORCE THAT ALLOWS VETERANS TO BE DENIED SERVICE BY LOGIN.GOV SHOULD BE DEMOTED TO 2nd Lt AND FIRED
WHOEVER THE CONTRACTING OFFICER IS IN THE AIR FORCE THAT GAVE A PENNY OR AUTHORIZATION TO GSA SHOULD HAVE HIS / HER WARRANT YANKED AND BE FIRED.
NOW I WILL BE FILING FOIA s TO THE AIR FORCE TO FIND OUT WHO THIS GENERAL OFFICER IS AND WHO THE CONTRACTING OFFICER IS.
WE VETERANS WILL NOT TOLERATE THE AIR FORCE TO ABDICATE THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES TO LOGIN.GOV.
I recommend that ALL USAF Veterans do not use the LOGIN.GOV to access myFSS, and instead write to the USAF FOIA Freedom of Information Act Request to get any and all records held under your rank and SSN, and the Air Force will have, by law, 20 days to provide you your records. IF YOU ARE BLOCKED EVEN 1 TIME BY LOGIN.GOV, file a FOIA FOR YOUR RECORDS WITHOUT EXCEPTION. ALL VETERANS NEED TO FILE A FOIA FOR THEIR myFSS RECORDS IN ORDER FOR THE AIR FORCE TO GET THE MESSAGE THAT WE WILL NOT TOLERATE LOGIN.GOV BLOCKING OUR ACCESS TO OUR VERY OWN RECORDS.

I've been trying to log into my OPM account for over a year. Naturally, OPM refuses any help.

Their verification processes simply don't work.

Another waste of government spending on dysfunctional garbage that doesn't do what it's supposed to.

i'VE LIVED IN THE SAME HOUSE FOR 12 YEARS AND IT SAYS IT CAN'T FIND ME. A simple google search has all my info; name, address, etc...EVERYTHING that Login.gov says isn't there. What a piece of CRAP!!

A dizzying array of options to log into other federal government websites (including social security) that didn't formally require this. Despite all those "options," seemingly none of them work. Also, none of the ten access codes they sent me for future log-in events worked, meaning I had to create a whole new account and then further struggle to connect to the others.

I'm a multi-patent holding mechanical design engineer and still struggle...How the h*ll are people in their mid sixties and above expected to cope with this mess?

Bottom line: It's hopeless

After multiple attempts to get into the OPM website to review my retirement information through login.gov, tech-support was unable to assist me. Not only that tech-support recommended that I contact the OPM alternate means for access and gave me the wrong telephone number. OPM needs to get this fixed

The online verification process was even worse than for ID.ME! It took me multiple failures over many days to get it done. The online help and replies to email support tickets were just boilerplate text & not applicable my problem. The 2 tips I have is if you have a post office branch close by that does the verification, use it. In my case they scanned the barcode given you, scanned the drivers license barcode, and then checked that the data matched. Took all of 3 minutes.
The other tip is make sure that the data you enter on line matches the data that the site you are trying to access has on you. In my case it was USPBGC and they had the address I moved away from 2.5 months before. When I entered the data online I put the address on the license as requested, checked the box that said it was not my current address, & then entered my current address. This current address has been reported to the Oregon DMV, but they do not require you to get a new drivers license for address changes. It would not let me go any further at that point. I unchecked the box & deleted all the data for current address and then everything proceeded normally.

I don't trust the government to store secretly any personal information that I give them. They have already sent detailed data about me, which they assured me that they would protect, to a hostile foreign power. Seriously. Not a joke at all. They apologized and offered a whole 2 years of "free" commercial identity protection. Here's an idea, PAY ME! ... For the rest of my life. Oh, and I want TSAPre for free for life as well.
Now this poorly thought out, poorly designed and cartoonishly interactive website wants me to use MFA. Really?!? And how secure is this MFA? They claim that they sent me 10 randomly generated one time use backup codes. Spoiler alert, no they didn't. They expect me to use one of these each time I log in. Or, I can use an app on a smart phone as my second factor, which I have to fund and maintain. OR! I can buy one of their pre-approved and not very secure security keys that meets their, once again cartoonishly designed and named, FIDO security standard.
Hate this. Passionately.

Suggestion: offer to use Steve Gibson's free as in beer, professionally designed, open source, works on any platform, peer reviewed, presented at OWASP in Dublin and as secure as any 256bit elliptic curve crypto can be, system called SQRL. Gratuitous link follows: grc dot com/sqrl/sqrl.htm Why is this better than Oauth or FIDO? It gives the authentication reliant party no secrets to keep. They get a token useful only for authentication to their site using one-way functions that can only verify an authentication, not create one.
Secure and Government provided only works for the military. The security comprehension of the civilian arm is laughably naïve.

I have a user name and password but was unable to log in at all.
Called on the phone and was told wait time was 80 minutes and waited for a callback for 2 1/2 hours. Guy on the phone was very nice but couldn't solve the problem.
I am now waiting for a letter in the mail from Soc Sec with an activation code - will take 2-3 weeks.
I cannot access Soc Sec now but was able to before.
Absolutely awful!! Login.gov is awful!!
