I would rate somerford beefeater less if I could 🤬🤬🤬🤬 firstly the whole place looked disgustingly grubby , table was so sticky hands literally stuck to the surface, upholstery on chairs was filthy tables left unclean, order was delivered incorrectly my husbands food was totally wrong waiter said he’d picked up the wrong one then he returned explaining he’d put the wrong order through and thst they were just making his order now , meanwhile I explained that I did not wish to eat alone whilst waiting for my husbands order to be cooked so they promised me they would make a fresh order to arrive together but not before I’d put a score mark down the potatoe, they brought both meals together after a wait mine was totally inedible the meal was the original one just returned to me with the potatoe with the score mark on , the potatoes were black and hard ( supposedly crushed roasted new potatoes) the vegetables were soggy and tasteless the side order of veg were reheated swimming in a bath of liquid mushy and discoloured, the salmon was hard overcooked and smelled very bad , after complaining they did agree to refund me but failed to refund the drinks not drank before we left or the mushy soggy side order of vegetables would definitely NOT recommend anyone who values their health to eat at this establishment go elsewhere!!!!!

Went to the beefeater at the deer park in Livingston tonight , not a great experience at all, firstly we booked a table for 2 , when confronted by the person on reception, after a long wait to be told we don’t have your reservation, I promptly showed her the email to confirm , she wasn’t interested, we got seated and the smell in the restaurant was absolutely disgusting , smelled like a sewer , not one member of staff said anything , I had to ask to be told we have a problem with the drains , the restaurant should have been closed as the smell was so pungent that it was sicking

Currently at the White Hart in Hastings. We usually visit every year when we visit the beach. We won’t come again. The manager is extremely ignorant and rude. Almost an hour to be serve to be given ‘rare’ steak that’s black and burnt. Brown blimey lettuce. Peas that have obviously been sitting in water so long they are almost white. Chicken burnt so badly it knocked on the table! Staff couldn’t care less and told us is because we are a big table - 2 adults 3 children 🤔🤔
Awful experience made worse by the staff just not caring!

I would give zero stars if I could. We went to the White Hart Beefeater near Hastings for a quiet celebratory dinner and ended up walking out without eating. This was a warm, sunny bank holiday evening at peak time, yet the restaurant and garden were almost empty – which now feels telling.

We had a 6pm booking and I had phoned ahead to confirm we could sit outside. On arrival, the garden had only two umbrella tables, both still covered in used glasses and bottles, with small, fixed umbrellas that gave almost no shade on a very hot evening. No staff were in the garden, and two teenagers were playing football only a few metres from the tables. Not exactly the relaxed countryside setting we’d been led to expect.

At the front entrance we waited at the “Wait here” sign with nobody there. When someone eventually appeared (the same person I’d spoken to by phone, and apparently the manager), he recognised my booking call, told us to “choose any table outside”, and did not accompany us or clear the dirty table. After around 20 minutes sitting in the sun with no menus, no water and no acknowledgement from anyone – despite staff coming and going – I had to go back inside to ask what was happening.

The manager then claimed he had already told us we needed to order at the bar. Neither my wife nor I heard this, and there was no sign explaining any such system. When I raised the fact we’d been abandoned at a filthy table in the heat with no service, his response was that he “didn’t have time” because he had a restaurant to manage. No apology, no ownership, just a late offer to clear the table after the damage was done. We left without eating; the evening was ruined.

I submitted a detailed complaint to Beefeater/Whitbread. In return I got generic, copy‑and‑paste style replies that refused to say what, if anything, was done about the manager and finally stated they would offer no compensation and were “standing by” their response. The message was clear: they are more interested in closing complaints than in looking after customers. After this experience – both in the restaurant and in the way it was handled afterwards – we will not be returning, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking!

We waited a long time for our food when it eventually arrived my pie was rock hard I couldn't couldn't couldn't even put my knife in it I told the waitress and she apologised and asked if I wanted something else I asked for the gammon when it arrived it was really fatty. My daughters salmon was really dry aswell

Really enjoyed the meal today. The mixed grill and burger were great. The staff are always friendly and attentive, Emma our waitress particularly. Shame Beefeater is closing

Another lovely meal, with friendly welcoming staff at The Barn, Milton Keynes. This is our favourite place to come for a meal. Can't fault it! We are SO going to miss it when it closed - so many happy memories!

We had a wonderful waitress who did her best to resolve the issue. I had my steak replaced and it was worse than the first steak. My husband could not eat his steak either! But would not complain . They just refunded my steak. The whole meal was spoilt, I wrote directly beefeater customer services and their response was terrible!!!! No offer of recompense. They Had not even addressed my concerns after 2consequtive responses. Shame on you! I got the feeling that the response was written by AI? Do not go here for steak!! They are obviously using a cheaper supplier! It was the worst steak I have ever had!

The Harlow Mill seriously need to re-evalue their menu/suppliers. My hubby and I ordered FILLET steak...awful! the worst i've had. Gristly, chewy. The chips were barely warm. We 'give it a go' now and again but wer'e disappointed EVERY time. The quality of food has gone down even further! Won't be going back

Just had a meal at Morton Park Beefeater. It was terrible. My starter was supposed to be Halloumi fries but they were more like batter scraps from the chippy. For my main course I ordered Ribeye steak cooked to medium rare. When it arrived I had trouble cutting it then it was so tough you could sole a leather shoe with it and it was still raw in the middle. I sent it back and the staff were apologetic and asked if I would like something else but I had now lost my appetite and they just took it off the bill. I have had Halloumi fries at other restaurants and they were like fries, (chips), these were just bits of batter with very little Halloumi in them at all. As for the Steak I’ve had better from Tescos and cooked it myself and I’m not even a cook never mind a chef.

Spent a considerable amount at beefeater to total 500 points on the reward card to change them for a free bottle of wine.when you then ask for your bottle of free wine you have to buy yet another main meal to get it.so it’s not free at all.What a scam.wont be going to beefeater again.looks like they are going bust now anyway.money much better spent at Wetherspoon.

Why? 2 basic roast dinners, cold service excellent but the food was cold and poor quality. This was your last chance.. not worth the 2 for the price of 1 offer!

Breakfast is great everything displayed to perfection on buffet. Choice is unbelievable great. Hot choice continental choice etc staff are extremely happy to help and. Jack. The manager allways. Makes. Sure the tables ok and your extremely happy with food etc. A hidden gem for breakfast 😋

Ordered a lasagne. Received it, had 2 mouthfuls and the meal was pretty much gone. And this was £15! Complained to staff and they agreed that it wasnt great and sent the manager to speak to me. Spoke to the manager and she refused to offer a refund or anything else in compensation as the meal portions are set by head office so we would have to take this up with them to get a refund. Asked for the managers name and she refused to give it due to GDPR! She also said "I swear on my grandmother's ashes that no one has ever complained before" Firstly what an inappropriate statement to make. Secondly we heard someone else complaining the same night. We have since taken this up with head office who have refused to refund and fail to see anything wrong with their portion sizes or customer service approach by their "managers".
Have never received such poor customer service in my life and can guarantee I will not be going back to Beefeater in a hurry.

The lower level toilets were out of order, so I went to upper level. The 1st loo I visited was disgusting, filthy. Went to 2nd toilet and almost had a nasty accident. The toilet seat was not attached and I slipped. I managed to stop myself falling, although I bruised my arm. I'm in my 70s and able, anyone frail would not have been so lucky. Our server, who was working alone, was concerned and set in motion emergency repairs. I tried to speak to deputy manager but she went off to have lunch with a friend/colleague. Even so, she should have taken the time to see if I was OK.
The hand dryer was also broken.
The food was OK, but was very disappointed with the state of the loos.
I did send a feedback form and have not had any contact from Beefeater, hence the reason I am writing a review. I have been a loyal customer, but feel this branch in Redhill has really gone down hill and think it will be a while IF I ever return again.
Jackie, the server is a credit to Beefeater.

We often go to Beefeater at the Dukes Worksop for dinner on Saturday evening. The food is good with excellent service provided by the staff, especially Abbey who goes out of her way to be helpful and have a friendly chat.

We visited Beefeater Barn at Seclow Gate Milton Keynes today just for a family 'Get together' and found the whole experience most pleasant and comfortable.

Beefeater Farnham 7/4/26

Rude waitress, took order for chilli linguine and tomato and basil pizzette. Linguine arrived with garlic and cheese pizzette, I didn’t order it or like it. When I raised the issue with her she said that’s how it comes as a meal. According to the menu there is no specific pizzette to accompany the linguine out of the 3 on the menu, I’ve checked and even been served my request in other sites. She was abrupt and walked off with the remainder of the garlic bread.
Why not give me what I ordered or if indeed she felt she was correct inform me of the change?
When I went to pay I saw a different assistant, I mentioned the food issue, she apologised and removed the garlic pizzette from my bill, during this time the original staff member was watching and looking very annoyed, I’m sure words were exchanged once I’d moved away from the counter.

Breakfast was to the usual standard, a polite server with food cooked to order.
Unfortunately there was some maintenance going on in the ceiling space, why not wait until breakfast is finished, maybe they had to wait for 30 minutes, again this was unsettling.

I’m a business traveler and I shall not visit this site again.

Great food and value for money. Our server Cara looked after our party really well, and went the extra mile to make our visit special.
