Absolutely atrocious. Not only did the cake not arrive on the intended delivery date but the cake was disgusting and the package along with the balloon and card came shaking about in a giant box with barely any protection. Avoid this business at all costs.

I've updated my review following excellent customer service. The original order was disappointing and did not match expectations, but after raising my concerns, the team responded quickly and arranged a replacement. The replacement was much better, and I appreciate the effort made to resolve the issue. Thank you for putting things right.

Order arrived on time, exactly as expected! And my mum thought it was the most thoughtful gift and said the cake was delicious!💖🎀

My husband loved his birthday surprise of the two chocolate and vanilla cakes. I would normally have baked him a cake but as we were going away the following day I thought I would give Mailbakes a try. It didn’t disappoint. Cakes were moist and very yummy.

First delivery was late (ok maybe royal mail), then wrong cake sent. Contacted them, they apologised and said the right cake will be resent immediately. One week later still no cake! Contacted them said they would give me a refund and next day delivery on the cake. 5 days later STILL NO CAKE! Would not use again, easier to buy cake from a cake shop and cheaper.

First time using this company, won't be the last. Good communication from start to finish, lovely presentation, and gorgeous tasting cakes. The recipient was absolutely delighted with it.

NOT letterbox cake!

The whole point of this business is that they can fit through the letterbox so can be delivered even if there is no one in - so WHY DOES IT NEED A SIGNATURE on delivery???

I ordered a cake 4 days ago and it still hasn't been delivered because my friend works during the day!!! I might as well have just set fire to £20 No reply from the company either. Very frustrating indeed...

UPDATE: I hae changed my stars to a 3 because they have been in touch and are sending a replacement out. They told me that the original order wasn't actually a "letterbox size" but there wasn't any notification about that so I am still giving a 3 out of 5. The cake hasn't actually arrived yet so I may update again after that...

Bought for a 50th birthday. Card and cake were amazing. Arrived on time and well packaged. Have used this company a couple of times over the past couple of months and have found them brilliant.

Ordering online was easy, lots of choice and I wanted a delayed delivery which happened as requested. My friend was delighted with her bakes. I will be using mailbakes again. Thank you!

Delivered on time which was great. The downside is the cakes do not just lift off the cardboard as shown in videos. After removing the cling film with scissors the cake had to be prized off the cardboard with a cake slice but sadly it didn’t remove easily. For that reason I wouldn’t buy again. Sorry

It was my first try using mailbakes and I was very impressed. The surprise was for my sister who loves cake! When I saw the selection I knew immediately which ones she would be happy with. I loved the way you could leave a personal message as well and that the box it gets delivered in can go through a standard letter box. Great if the person you’re sending the surprise to is out. All in all a great little surprise for someone and I will definitely be using it again. Thank you

Wouldn’t purchase again. I brought for my 2 friends for helping me whilst I recovered from surgery. They said the sponge was nice but the buttercream was inedible. Was thin and runny with a horrible oily texture which coated the mouth. Really disappointed and embarrassing for me as I gifted them.

I can’t rave enough about Mailbakes! This is such a genius idea and my friend was over the moon when cake landed through her letterbox! Also, amazing customer service after a postal issue (partly my own fault!) they were super helpful and understanding and arranged for fresh cake to be sent out. I will 💯 be sending more cake through the post!! 😍

Pre ordered for my daughter's birthday. It arrived on the exact day I specified. Daughter was thrilled. She said cake was delicious! I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again. 😊
