Disappointing
I have been a regular customer of Mark's for over a decade and am very disappointed to see them becoming very insensitive to customers of late. Attractive flyers (both in print and electronic media) bring people like me to the store but they have only XL and up sizes available. Not to talk about shoes on sale as it is next to impossible to find right size. Staff is least approachable. When checked on their site for availability in store, it said available but "low on stock". Then, it cannot be every time. Wondering why give ad on special occasions like Canada Day, long weekends? I wanted to try in store before ordering online.
Marks in fort mcmurray ridel street was…
Marks in fort mcmurray ridel street was the worst place I evever been to to get work ware. I had my account number which gives me 10% but my card was old. Mind u the account number the same. She refused to even come to the till or look at my card. She looked at my skin colour an didn’t even bother to come over. Wow! I was really upset I just left. An this was the manager. I’ll give marks one more chance today. Will update
Two stars is probably high grade,
Two stars is probably high ..Order online and you will wait maximum days at least..even if store you chose has items in stock, tried this twice in last year..same both times. Not worth trying a third.
Appalling service !
Appalling service !! Shocking customer service no emails no follow up lost order £150 cannot talk to an intelligent polite or helpful customer service person disgusted rude laughing and taken no action on my lost order another company gone down the toilet
order clothing that showed online is…
order clothing that showed online in store at my local marks. turns out none of the order was in stock.and I have to wait two weeks to go pick up fathers day items when fathers day was last weekend. absolutely wil never shop there again.
Online experience w Marks
Super useless. If I can chose 0 stars or one big minus I would. Do not order anything from Marks online or you will be unpleasntly suprised.
Frustrating
Frustrating! I made a significant purchase online for summer clothing. Due to recent illness and significant weight loss, I was uncertain about sizing. So, I ordered based on their online measurements. Everything was too big. Went online to review return policy and procedure. Read that in Ontario, "essential items" could be returned to stores in Ontario. What's considered "essential"?? I called the closest store to me, Simcoe, Ontario to find out. The woman who answered the phone was impatient, quick to get me off the phone, and kept sighing heavily as I asked a question (I asked 3 questions in total). No customer service...no answers to my questions that were helpful.
Now I wait to be able to return my items when Covid restricions are allowed. I'll spend the money elsewhere.
Misleading web site
Misleading web site. Definitely not what you would expect from a company related to Canadian Tire
If I could give no star I would
If I could give no star I would. Completely inflexible with finding customer solution. Have items in stock I need in a pandemic and have blocked them from being ordered on line, local store has stock but won't sell them or even hold them citing pandemic. This is a terrible excuse for bad customer service. Other companies are providing curbside service and finding solution. Let me be clear, at no time did I ask them to break pandemic rules. They simply are inflexible about their ordering system and would not accommodate. They essentially have no curbside service. They have online ordering with a pick up option which is very different. I called head office and they we very clearly uninterested in finding a solution and just said they would make a note to file and call the store manager essentially calling the person that just blew me off.
Customer service in Sherwood Park? 😂💀
No customer service in the Mark’s Work Warehouse Sherwood Park store.
I went in today to purchase 2 pairs of Carharts @ $94.99 each for my husband but they did not have the “fit” that we wanted.
After speaking with the cashier to see if she can bring some in for me and telling her 3 times that I could not bring up the item for her to scan because they did not have it in store, she called someone from that department to help me. Apparently the cashier does not have the power or wit to search for a SKU number.
Once she called someone else to help I walked to the back of the store and found someone but she was dressed casually and had NO NAME TAG on. She was holding a box of shoes in one hand and could have been a customer. So I asked her “do you work here?” To which she shrugged at me as if to say “well yeah I’m holding merchandise,” and said “well yeah.” I ignored her rudeness and explained to her what I needed and asked if she can order them in for me. She said that she needs the SKU number or “item” number. At this point I asked her to search the item to which she refused and told me to go online to get the item number. 🤦🏻♀️ Excuse me? No effort on her part. 🤬. No offer to phone another store; no customer service or INITIATIVE. Like hey let’s think outside the box on this one and maybe look it up online FOR the customer.
Clearly management is lacking in the training department of their staff.
I walked out and on my way the cashier asked if I got any help. I told her that the other person was no help and that their “service” was ridiculous.
I tried calling the main customer service line and there is a message saying that they were experiencing “technical difficulties.”
I will take my $200 purchase elsewhere and will not step foot in that store again.
Aweful customer service
Wish I could choose 0 stars
If there was a 0 stars it would have gotten it, I ordered five items of thier “in stock” items on a Saturday, got emails confirming purchase processing for each individual item on Sunday and awaited a pickup email, I had to call on Monday around four (closes at 5) to ask how long a curb side pickup took if the items were there, I was then told ten to fifteen minutes, then was asked to call the next day as I guess an hour wouldn’t accomplish your 15 minute estimated time... proceeded to call the next morning to be told the items are on the way to the store... so also not in stock...(might wanna have someone start doing stock checks for the website since it’s all you can use during COVID) proceeded to call again today which is Wednesday to be told that four of my five “in stock” items arrived yesterday, I told them I may as well wait to get all five instead of wasting more money and time on them with gas and two drives, just an extreme headache for in stock curb side pickup from new liskeard marks work wearhouse, will never do that again, I advise people not to shop their unless your getting it mailed to you or your going in the store, knowing you’ll have a wait time for what you paid for or knowing what’s actually “in stock” for the money your paying
No Such Thing as Customer Service
Today I went to online Marks to take advantage of sale. However when I went to pay for my items it would not come up. So I called online support and the main store in Huntsville. A total waste of an hour as no help from anyone. The online rep was so negative and could not assist in anyway. He claimed it was my fault and there were no problems with the current online system!! So frustrating
Security tag impossible to remove
I will never buy footwear online again. Mine came with a security device that was almost impossible to get off. They advised I go into the store to get them to remove it. This defeats the purpose of online shopping
Mark's online order returns are a pain
I ordered some shoes online, then wanted to cancel before they arrived. I was informed (very nicely, by the way) that I had to drive to the store to pick up the shoes and then return them. I could not cancel online. The result is a 12 kilometer return trip and an hour of my time wasted.
They dont answer emails and they dont…
They dont answer emails and they dont have a number. I want to return something and iam getting no where. Bad service and i will never order from them again
Poor online delivery options
Poor online delivery options. I live 30ish Km outside Edmonton, so I decided to order online to avoid going into the store/social distance and all that. The problem is they shipped the order with Loomis who is well known to not deliver outside of major cities. So instead of just going in and getting the items, I had to drive >80Km past multiple stores to the nearest Loomis depot, spend over 15min standing outside in the rain waiting for them to find my package. Why hire a delivery company that they know will not deliver and actually take my items 50Km further away from me. Never again.
I spent over $50 and was given a hand…
I spent over $50 and was given a hand sanitizer as a gift, when I got home, I realized that I was charged for the item. I would not recommend shopping at Mark's.
Horrible...don't order online
Horrible...don't order online. Website says shipped in 2-4 days. I ordered on Feb 14, charged my credit card. Never received anything to say confirmation, or shipped. I have called 3 times and was finally given a tracking number. However, they never mentioned that my order is in 2 packages. Finally received one package on feb 27, still waiting on the other. Have to call in the morning and try to find the order. Had I have known this is how they operate, I would have just drove to the store....
Ordering online? Wouldn't recommend
Ordered online, picked option to use Paypal. After completing checkout no confirmation from Mark's but normal email from Paypal. Tried to contact Mark's to check if order went through. 3 emails. 3 different custome service agents. A day between each email. In short:"....it happens when using paypal, you shouldn't get charged after 5 days of inactivity...".
Decided to give it another try - online, followed steps for checkout, chose paypal again - "page does not exist" was next page I ended up on. With everything that is going on with Covid lockdowns, it is not surprise that businesses like Mark's are losing to Amazon. Shame.
