Very disappointing

Very disappointing! Few days ago I purchased men's shirts in the XXL size on sale . Their Denver Hayes sizing is very inconsistent, I have their t-shirts in XXL that are generous size but these shirts are too snug so I planned on returning them. I went on their site to see if there was anything a size larger and saw that all three of these shirts were now marked as final sale. I called customer service and they said that somewhere in their terms it is stated that anything that the price ends in 88 cents is final sale! That is absolutely ridiculous. Who would go looking through the fine print for that?? They were unwilling to help. Now I'm stuck with shirts I can't wear.
I live on a low fixed income and they are just taking money out of my pocket with no conscience

Misleading exchange tactics

Bought 2 pairs of ice fx boots in person shopping. They are a small fit. Went back immediately and exchanged one pair because they only had one pair in correct size in stock.

I was told that I could return the boots to the store and order in a proper size online and pick up at the store.

What was omitted in this advice was that I would NOT be getting the boots for the same 40% off sale price!

If you buy something with a 100 day return policy, you should be able to make a straight exchange!

Beware of this tactic.

Mark's should be ashamed!

I went with my 83 year old Mother to Mark's yesterday. My mom needed to use the bathroom when we got in the store. She went to the back where they have the bathrooms and found both had signs, Employees Only. She approached an employee and asked about using a bathroom, and was almost gleefully told she could not. My Mom then came over to where I was talking to another employee and asked her. She at least had the grace to seem to feel bad when she told my 83 year old mother she could not use the bathroom. She directed her to walk to either (clothing) businesses next door. Mom had a few words with the employee before heading out to Homesense in the -22C cold. This is the most disgraceful and shameful experience we have ever had in a store. We will never shop there again.

Bought a clearance coat online in size…

Bought a clearance coat online in size large...received it quickly however the sizing tag is obviously wrong as it fits like a triple x...I informed their office and was told there is nothing they can do as it was a clearance item...well, that is basically stealing my money as they sent a coat that was clearly marked incorrectly..what a horrid company.....

Placed 2 seperate orders

Placed 2 seperate orders. Both had multiple items (4 & 3). Shipping in 7 different packages. 9 days later the two most needed items have not even shipped. Nothing has arrived. Packages not arriving when they were scheduled. I would have bought most things on Amazon if Amazon had the boots I ordered ( not even shipped 9 days later.
I should not shop at Marks. They are always out of my size in store. I do not want to wait till summer to get my winter boots.

Extremely slow shipping on online orders. Splitting one order into individual parcels. Forcing me to be available for delivery o 7 different dates.

If I had any idea it would take so long to ship, I would not have ordered anything.
Shop elsewhere online.

45 days to reimburse for online purchase

I ordered 2 pairs of boots online and Purolator wouldn't leave them outside my door while I was out. I live in a little village and no issue with theft at all. I then received a notice that I could pick it up at the Purolator depot ... an hours drive away. So I did not pick it up and Purolator returned them to Marks. I was informed by Marks that returns are only reimbursed around 45 days after receipt of returned items to their warehouse. WOW!!! I have never had a merchant take this much time in this e-commerce world we live in. NEVER going to shop online here again. Wake up Canadian Tire/ Marks! You are lucky there is so little competition in Canadian marketplace.

Ainsley Ankle Boots

Bought boots online from Marks.com they were Brown Ainsley Chelsea Boots
They arrived stained and scuffed so I returned them to the store and was offered a replacement pair which were shipped to my address Same problem Boots were Stsined and scuffed looked like they were not NEW
So I returned them to the store for a refund totally upset as I loved the look and the style
Store clerk agreed that the look of them was not acceptable
I emailed the company and gave them all the information including the pictures I took
The reply I received was not acceptable to me

I bought a Helly Hanson Hi Vis Jacket…

I bought a Helly Hanson Hi Vis Jacket Dec 12/21, took it back Dec 13/21 because the company I work for issued us New ones so I no longer need it. Of course I’m famous for throwing Recipts away and of course they told me I could return it but they would give me a voucher card with the amount on it which has to be spent at Marks and I was ok with that. They handed me the voucher Card and discovered the took a $100 off the price I paid.
I paid $454.00 and the gave me back $386.00 back which has to be used in there Criminal Organization. I’ve spent a lot of Money over the years but once my Card is used never again will I spend a cent there. Thieves is all I can say.

I’m writing this review I have had terrible service here when it comes to contractor services. . I have now been waiting over a month for my work gear. They have lost or misplaced my items, taken down my number three times and nobody calls. I am completely fed up.
I would never recommend this store but have no choice but to use because this is where my work gets their uniforms.

I just made a purchase for $127 dollars…

I just made a purchase for $127 dollars from Marks so shipping was free. I had to return a pair of scrub pants from that order that I paid $40 for and it cost me $17 to return them via Canada Post. I had to return a sweater that was part of the same order but was shipped separately for some reason and again I had to pay to return it. When I called them they basically said "boo hoo" when I questioned the fact that both items returned were on the same order and that they shipped them separately I got the run around. Essentially, I'm getting back half of what I paid.
The pants were too big which is fine but the sweater was horrid. The fit was wonky and the fabric awful. No wonder they only sell this product on-line because no one would actually buy it out of the store.
When on the website, I chose the option of having only items available in my local store to come up as my choices. Funnily enough, I was still standing outside of my local store after looking at the stock that their website stated was unavailable locally.
I guess they need to make some money somewhere so they nail you on the shipping charges.
They are certainly not supporting our local Marks.
I no longer be buying from Marks when I can buy the same or better from other stores without the rip-off or runaround. Crappy products and crappy customer service.

Not my store anymore.

Went to marks newest outlet in Saint John Nb. There already was a line up at the one checkout but…..soon there were 3 or 4 more girls gathered behind the counter. It was more of a hen party, giggling and chatting away while the que got longer. The lady in front of me finally put her shopping down and left the store. Customers were looking at each other in disbelief. Finally I had to speak up as I was ready to leave myself. I yelled out excuse me are you going to open another register? One girl walked over and curtly replied “ I am doing that now” It changes my view on shopping at that particular store . The smaller store on the west side store is much better.

Ordered 10 dressed shirts for a wedding…

Ordered 10 dressed shirts for a wedding party. Order was confirmed. 10 days later still no action.
Writing, calling did not give me any help or answer why my order is not processed and shipped. They just told me to cancel the order.
This is the last time I will order from Mark's

So, follow up. 3 weeks later the shirts arrived. 4 weeks later I got an email that they were shipped. 4 1/2 weeks later I got charged on my credit card.
Seems the whole thing was reversed. Anyways, they arrived too late, I already bought elsewhere

Beware their web site

I placed an order over the web and received "acknowledgements" and a "receipt" by email--but they were blank. On my local email client and on my server, the messages' source code showed no text in the body. Emailing them through their web site failed at their end. Calling Customer "Service" led to a long hold and then a disconnection. If a company cannot handle basic communications at a technical level, I would not trust their web site with credit-card credentials.

Many years ago I made the decision…

Many years ago I made the decision never to set foot in any of their stores and not to buy anything from them ever again after they ripped me off with a pair of work boots I bought for them. After convincing myself to buy expensive work boots from a store in Ottawa because of the warranty they offered. When I attempted to return them after failing miserably I was told they changed the rules since I bought them.

Stop being so greedy

Marks has been getting steadily worse since they decided to abandon that which made them what they are…. Workwearhouse! This use to be a store that was for the working individual to get the gear they need at a reasonable price. Now you are lucky to see any actual work cloths on the shelf, work boot selection is dropping, and everything is being geared towards the wants of the yuppie or spoiled teen. A pair of pants that use to cost 50 dollars is now just about 200. This place has to start remembering it’s roots and make it right with the customers that put them where they are, in their rush to become some type of fashion boutique they are alienating their own customer base.

A bunch of tired

A bunch of tired, miserable employees at the Glenmore and McLeod location. Patricia the cashier was so rude. No eye contact, just running through the motions, no thank you, no good bye. It wasn’t even busy. Wake up! My goodness. Made me want to cancel my purchase.

Canadian tire ruined Marks

Canadian tire ruined Marks. 89 % of my clothes used to be Marks. You took away the no iron stain resistant shirts that I loved, now my jeans are gone and replaced with no ass Levi’s jeans and NONE of these fit any other people but stick people. With covid brings bigger sizes. And the colours look like soup barrel of leftover colours. FIRE YOUR BUYERS!!!

Ordered a pair of boots while standing…

Ordered a pair of boots while standing in an outlet store with a Marks employee. Employee confirmed that boots were at another location, showed me stock. Purchased boots online, phone outlet for purchase and they said the item was not in stock 🙄. Customer service didn’t even want to help in getting my boots from another outlet within the city. I phoned and confirmed the item was in stock. I would suggest in spending your hard earned money at other retail outlets as Marks only care about money and not client satisfaction. So sad...
