Masters Of Mystery Reviews

Downloaded a mystery pack for my friends and me to play for my 18th birthday as something different. I tell you, we all had the best time!!! So many laughs and precious memories made! The assistance of the prompts and prior party planning, including what food to include, how to decorate, and what music to play, etc made this come to life, and the assistance on the booklets allowed for smooth and easy game play

Excellent idea and a wonderful product. We took our cold case murder investigation on holiday with us for the rainy days. It was so engaging and we both enjoyed it. Could easily be played with more people. The materials were good quality and added a tactile element that helped you buy into the experience. Great characters and story. I would highly recommend. Future of board games?? Maybe, certainly unusual and highly entertaining.

It was seamless. No issues, I am elderly and complicated things annoy me or I avoid them. Not so with this

I thoroughly enjoyed using Masters of Mystery products for my gathering a month ago. The plot was well done, the characters were engaging and silly at the same time and the game management well well organized. I used "Death in the Desert" and we were able to create a PowerPoint to go along with the rounds of play keep people on track. The included sound bytes and evidence pictures were a great help.

This was my first time hosting and second time playing a Masters of Mystery game and I will definitely expand my collection with more of their products.

It was such a fun game and the team are so helpful and quick to respond! Would definitely recommend :)

We played Mystery at the Museum at our beach rental this year with 11 of us. We had grandchildren (9 to 14), their four parents and we two grandparents--80 year olds. Our costumes were not elaborate since we were already totting enough stuff on vacation, but everyone had some clothing or hat or prop to suggest their character. We grandparents were glad we read through all of the directions and some of the scripts before the big night, and it pretty much went well. We were pleased that all of the grandkids took some time to research their characters before they came to the beach, so that was a bonus--some history lessons. We also found that some of our grandchildren are pretty good actors. We had a fun evening and created a great memory. We know the evening will be fodder for inside jokes for years to come and is the best part

I bought the masquerade game from masters of mystery, so I can't talk about the other games they have available, but I will say that the character scripts were way too long. We were 14 players and we had to skip some lines because it felt like it wasn't getting to the point and so it become less exciting. I don't recommend this game for important events like birthdays, maybe for fun with friends that are bored. Storyline was oki though.

Maskenball Krimi Dinner

Schwach generierter AI-Müll. Plotholes ohne Ende.

My husband and I bought the 'Christmas Murder Mash Up' and we had the best time. Our children travelled from interstate. There were 9 of us and we all dressed up. We acted out and we enjoyed an early Christmas meal together whilst working out who was the murderer. We laughed and joked and decided we would do another one this year, except there will be more of us! It was so much fun to dress up and to enjoy quality time together. The game was well scripted, and to my surprise, I allocated each one their character, and the characters were so like the real people. We loved it!

This was my first time doing a mystery dinner at Christmas. The instructions on everything were very useful. We had 12 players and everyone has a great time. The ages were 16 to 71! Only one player guessed the guilty character correctly!! We will definately play more with Masters Of Mystery.

The characters and story all worked together wonderfully and made the game very cohesive. Its was very fun to play in a large and a small group!

edit to this review: I just went to the site and noticed theyve updated it with having boxed options and PDF options availible. I didn't see that when I got my game - it appears that the sherlock game is still download only but I'm glad to see they've provided box options now!! problem solved haha

I purchased the Sherlock Homes mystery pack. I truly believe the creators of the game have quite the skill and organization for plot and design. I am really impressed by the script and character details that went into it. The host guide is easy to follow, as well as the character booklets. My guests of many different ages had a great time and didn't even receive their booklet until the night of, so that says something. I loved having music, food, costume, and decor suggestions on the website for inspiration. The ONLY reason its getting 4 stars is that I had to print everything myself. I wanted it to last and be organized, so I ended up spending quite a lot at the print shop to get the pages on good paper with good color, the booklets spiral bound, and certain parts laminated, such as the evidence pieces. I didn't need to do that spiral bound part, but it made things really nice and easy to use at the party and keep the booklets in good shape so we can play again one day. I just wish they would send a package of pre-printed and organized items, rather than only downloadable items because it ended up being quite a hassle to organize and print everything, even if I had just printed it all at home. Overall I am still really glad I got it - I am really impressed with the mind behind creating and organizing these games. I could never come up with making each detail make sense and be so easy to follow. Just be prepared to print a lot of stuff, or spend a bit getting it printed.

Easy directions…great character outlines along with costume suggestions…download was straightforward and…we had a blast on a rainy cottage weekend with 18 players :)

The Midnight on the Orient Express was SO much fun! I had a group of 20 who didn’t all know each other for my 40th birthday and no one had been to a mystery dinner party before. EVERYONE got so into character, loved how easy the character guide was to use, and really enjoyed the theme! This was a GREAT way to break the ice between several of my friend groups without any awkwardness, just good fun and intrigue. Having all the materials made hosting seamless, and it was great that not even I knew who the murderer was! Everyone said the can’t wait to do it again, and neither can I!

The game was easily downloaded, clear instructions and so much fun. We played the 4th of July game with 18 people ranging in ages 9-48. The younger kids did need just a little bit of help but other than that everyone had a great time! Even the teenagers!

We had an amazing experience playing one of the murder mystery games at my birthday party. The dress up is fun and we laughed a lot throughout the game. It connected us all together and made it a very memorable and fun experience that we will never forget! I would definitely recommend purchasing a game because you will not regret it!

We ordered the Wild West (Dead Mans Saloon) themed game and it was brilliant! You receive everything you possibly need to have a great experience, as well as really detailed costume ideas for the characters! The scripts are a bit lengthy but this is absolutely needed to set the scene for the games. Our friends were talking about this for weeks after and we are already planning our next one!

This is such a great experience! The download gave me everything I needed to print out for our party. The instructions made sense and were easy to understand and follow. We did the Masquerade Murder Mystery for our daughter's 16th birthday and everyone came dressed for their characters! The scripts are well done and I love that it's all reusable. We definitely plan to host another party and also want to try other themes!

We had a fantastic experience with the Wild West murder mystery kit. It was great fun for our group of 15, ranging in age from 25 to 90, and everyone really enjoyed getting involved.

The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the scripts, audios and costume suggestions were excellent. The website was straightforward to navigate, and the downloading instructions made everything very simple to organise.

The team were incredibly helpful and quick to respond to any questions. When we had additional guests to add, they were extremely helpful in guiding us through the process and making sure everything was sorted. The suggested Spotify playlist was also a lovely extra touch and really helped create the right atmosphere.

Overall, it was a great game at a great price, and everything was very well organised from start to finish. We would definitely recommend it for a fun, memorable and enjoyable evening with friends and family!

I purchased the Royal Family Murder Mystery for my daughter’s 13th birthday party. The girls had an absolute blast. The parents now would like to have a turn!

The instructions were easy to follow - everything was provided: character guides, run sheet, evidence and audio files.

Once downloaded and printed out I suggest reading through everything for a smooth game play. So many options - the characters all had a story and linked together well.

Overall it was well done. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for something a little different. Even more fun when everyone gets into character and dresses up.
