Masters Of Mystery Reviews

Masters of Mystery made my 30th birthday party a total success! Their attention to detail (Costume suggestions, curated playlists, and food and decor ideas) made everything so easy, and the whole process was a blast from start to finish! We did the High Noon at Dead Man's Saloon mystery and the characters and hijinks had us laughing all night long. I definitely recommend MoM for those wanting to host their first or 50th murder mystery party!

I originally bought the game for a party to play with friends and all of us are new to this kind of game. But I got bored one night and decided to play solo. It was actually REALLY fun to play by myself! I did the Sherlock Holmes vs Jack the Ripper. The evidence that came in with the in-person box set feel very realistic and it pairs with online material. I played a little bit of mysterious music in the background just to really immerse myself. I okayed over the course of a week because I am a working mom and wife and have responsibilities during the week. The game is completely replayable so once you’re done, you can reset everything and play again in the future or pass it along as a gift and let the next friend enjoy it. I even suggested a game like this to my husband who is a high school english teacher and he thought it would be a great teaching tool. The game does give hints too so if you’re worried about not solving, don’t, lol.

We had such an amazing experience with the Masters of Mystery Cold Case Files. As a true crime junkie this really was great.

Great fun! The murder mystery was easy to follow while still being challenging enough to keep everyone guessing. We played with a group of friends from work as a team-building activity, and everyone really got into it. We dressed up, embraced our characters, and made a whole night of it, which made the experience even more entertaining. Lots of laughs, plenty of discussion and teamwork, and a great time all around. Would definitely recommend for a fun group night or team-building activity!

What a joke. Advertised as a boxed pack, nowhere does it say it digital, pay 60 bucks to get sent a bunch of crap u need to print off yourself. DONT BUY TOTAL SCAM

The design made the game suitable as a gift and I did buy it for some friends so they could ask friends to join and I built an evening around it.
It took me a few goes to get my head around how it would work but we had a great time. We created a WhatsApp group to share the characters and build up the excitement which it did.
Everyone gave the costumes a fantastic go which also made the evening great fun.
No one guessed the murderer! It was hilarious and we will do another one.
I’d have a think about accessibility too - we are a dear friend with a visual impairment. It was tricky making it work for them.
Highly recommended!!

Very nice experience, especially with John from customer support! I can only recommend.

It was a really nice experience to play with friends! I loved it for my birthday party :)

Communication and purchase was very easy as well!

The entire experience was fantastic!!! It was easy to get everyone involved and having a great time. The added suggestions helped set the scene and made it much more enjoyable. Highly recommend!!!!

This was our third Masters of Mystery game to play and it was wonderful! The script for this one was a little off, where it seemed like more people had to ask the same question of different characters, but it was still really good and we had a great time. I would like that we could edit the documents so that we could hide the characters that aren't in our group. But we make do each time.
These are so much fun and our friends love them!

It was great fun dressing up and acting out the game. You need the right sort of people to invite - people who enjoy this sort of thing! I combined it with a 4 course meal - each course after a chapter of the game. The plot was quite superficial and the clues weren’t very interesting but each player was involved in the story.

A fantastic experience from start to finish! The mystery was engaging, entertaining and kept everyone involved throughout. The instructions were clear and easy to follow.

One area for improvement is the amount of printing required. Printing all the instructions and materials can be cumbersome and uses a significant amount of paper and ink. A more digital-friendly option, or fewer pages to print, would make the experience even better.

Overall, everything was thoughtfully organised, and I would highly recommend Masters of Mystery for a fun and memorable group experience.

Masters of Mystery were very helpful when I had problems with the on-line version of the game and sent me a different kit in time for my teen's 1920's 16th birthday party. The young people all dressed 1920's style with outfits from charity shops and Vinted, we had 1920's music and a sit down roast dinner with my husband acting as Lord of the Manor wearing his dinner jacket! The kids absolutely loved it - hardly saw a phone out all night apart from them taking lots of pics! Parent's feedback was that they were so impressed with how much fun the kids had without alcohol etc. Love the Games - more please!!

Our family and friends found the Jazz, Gin, Money & Murder digital game fabulous! All materials were in the files. Some advance pre work helped tremendously- I printed some of the materials for ease of use. I used my iPad to play each round’s video- We already have plans to play again with added friends and characters! We HIGHLY recommend Masters Of Mystery for their excellent themes and attention to detail. My group dressed in 20’s theme and everyone acted their characters excellently! We didn’t know we had so many sleuths and actors amongst us!!

The game was excellent - had so much fun. Also - customer service was brilliant. Highly recommend.

The Christmas theme game we got was perfect for our family party. Even the grumpiest people enjoyed the game. The ages of our group went from 8 to 78 and everyone had a blast! Since many of the characters in this game are elves I got everyone elf ears. It was a huge success!!

We had a family celebration approaching, and wanted to make it memorable... so after searching on Google for 'fun things to do with family', we came across the Masters of Mystery website!
I was intrigued and excited by the huge list of available games. And after carefully considering the reviews and which genre of game would work best with our party, we chose the Time Travel Mystery, suitable for up to 14 players.
The game and instructions arrived immediately via email, and in a link on the game account that I had created to purchase the game. It cost a bit more to get the larger game (£32), but the process of ordering was straightforward.
When I received the email package, I immediately printed off the whole lot and stapled the individual character scripts together into a booklet for each guest. I sent out the invitations, which told each guest a brief summary of who they would be playing, and how to dress up for the evening. And then I got to work on getting the whole event planned, with food and snacks, etc.

The evening finally arrived...
Everybody had dressed up. The food was fabulous. The scripts worked well, and the guilty person was found!
All in all, the game was played while the meal was eaten and a little afterwards, taking about an hour and a half.
Everybody enjoyed it, and it moved along quickly, with plenty of laughs and bad accents!!

We would all highly recommend Masters of Mystery for special time with family or friends. Get dressed up and throw yourself in to it! Great investment because you can play this game over and over again with different outcomes... you might be the guilty one next time!

Choosing the right game and purchasing was super simple. They give you everything you need instantly in order to enjoy the game. I took it a step further, using ai to create an inspector, and feeding the script so it actually said it with the lip sync. It was awesome. I also created a real "Black Iris" painting that people LOVE. It was all awesome.

We played the 1920s Glittersby game. The characters ere lots of fun and easy to recreate. Everyone made a real effort with the costumes and we decorated the table with strings of pearls, fake candles and ostrich feathers.

The company were excellent with the communication and background information was comprehensive.

However, it took a little while to acclimatise ourselves to what was happening. Perhaps a chance to read more about the backgrounds and connections to the other characters, instead of trying to get caught up at the time.

But overall it was a great evening, with lots of laughter!
