Please do not use out of 13800 i won i have only got about 7000 no bike from them as well because was unable to ride after crash they are a joke go through you own insurance company and to finish it off it's been 2 and a half years for this to happen just a giggle of a company

I got involved in a traffic accident in Welling, I was on a motorcycle and stopped behind a silver Megane to wait for the Traffic light open. Out of nowhere, the driver hitched a reverse and Came up on my bike. With the impact The back of her car climbed on my tire. I called my colleagues who were close, I photographed the Incidentally, I picked up her phone (she wrote in her own hand) admitted her mistake in front of the people who were there and proto. Left. I was guided by colleagues to look for this company to Assist me, because my motorcycle broke and, amazed! I have the witnesses, I have photos, I have the phone The Cause of the accident (which are the procedures adopted by who is right. Company staff phoned the other party And she denied that it was the cause. Result? They don't want to take my case. Guided me to look for video of the accident on cameras, I got one that, even being distant, can see her movement Share Coming up Of me. I believe that, plus the photos and more the witnesses would suffice, as it was enough to ask her two questions in court 1- if she was right, because she did not pick up my phone to charge me the damage. 2- Why didn't you take pictures of the accident? Things I did. I went after all the establishments with cameras, already I reported the police. I feel sad and hurt by this offender who, just for Have denied your Guilt on the phone, nullified all my evidence.

Please please do not use this or the parent companies dams etc they are all s big scam and will cause you nothing but stress and harassment have had the misfortune to need both at around the same time my son's motorcycle and our car sounds good on paper but extortionate hire charges and poor and mis information will have you both out of pocket and the final payment well under valued and forced to accept it or as we did try to get an increase threatened with police if we did not return the hire car even though we had not accepted the offer or had the accident repaired the solicitors they use are almost useless and take and age to get things done and you will be on the phone constantly chasing for answers will not be forthcoming with any urgency I complained several times even got the CEO direct email and promised to be contacted after 8 attempts to get a reply I gave up out of sheer contempt for her lack of sincerity after a promise of being looked into and being totally drained . I can see how they can invest so much with the superbike team as it is using money that should be given to it's customers with no respect or thought for you once you have agreed to the service which is nothing like they promise I cannot plead enough not to use these companies unless u want to be miserable for over 12 months that's how long if not longer it will take not to get what you are owed just use your own insurer that's what you are paying for this lot Steve just out for a quick buck at your expense I can go on with more issues we had but it's bring back bad memories and enough is enough

Do Not take their replacement vehicles. They are FOR HIRE. Not free of charge, and VERY VERY EXPENSIVE.

The bike hire charge will be challenged by the other Party. You will be taken to court. A very scary experience indeed.

The courts will want every BANK STATEMENT for the months before and after the event. You will be asked 'why did you not find an independent, competitively priced vehicle hire company?'

You can HIRE A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE, if you must have it, from a vehicle hire shop on the high street. Who may drop off and pick it up for you, and forward that charge to the third party insurance company (if only I knew then what I know now).

McAms will refer your claim to a Solicitor which you can DO FOR YOURSELF on a no win no claim basis,and probably find a better one.

I was threatened to be dumped in the lurch if I spoke to the third party's insurance. I did not respond to the Third Party Insurance as I had the vehicle assigned to me. I was not able to negotiate or be warned off by the third party insurance .

I disclosed all of this to my own insurance the following year when I needed to renew my insurance. I wouldn't keep a future incident from my own insurance now. This is why the cost of insurance is high. Because McAms hire their vehicles at exorbitant rates.

Run away

This scammers first offered a replacement motorcycle which they said it would free of charge. The case went to court and the judge decided that the liability of the accident was 50% my fault and 50% the other driver fault. So currently they are trying to get 50% of my compensation to cover storage charges, recovery and the hired motorcycle. I had the replacement motorcycle for 6 weeks and the bill for all of this is over £7000 which it is completely unreasonable. Taking into consideration that the hired motorcycle Yamaha MT07 was worth £6350 when new I can only call this a Scam.
I will recommend anyone to stay as far away as possible from this company.
I will fight this SCAMMERS in court if necessary and I don't care the cost of this because I believe no judge in his right mind will allow this to happen.
I am absolutely furious with myself and I wish this claim was made through my insurance back in the day. Who cares about keeping your no claim bonus if you have to fork out an extortionate amount from your own compensation.

Never ever use this company not only do they take the hire charges out of your money for me to have a bike for 4 weeks cost me 6000 pounds they will RIP you off go with your own insurance company, not only that you then get passed on to Armstrong's who to put it blunt are a con .STAY CLEAR .MACAMS AND ARMSTRONG'S. ALL YOU WILL GET IS LIE AFTER LIE

The Mccams side of the whole case was sound, got a hire bike within 3 days of my accident and all was sorted. My bike was fixed ect. I thought all was good as the accident wasnt my fault.
Although further down the line when the case got further we ended up going to court, they slap on tons of paperwork and say that you are liable for the ridiculous hire charges. Luckily it came to a 2/3 my way and they dismissed my charges. But ENSURE you read the terms and conditions and know 110% that it's not your fault and you can prove that in court! If not you could be left with stupidly high charges (mine were 6 grand)
Mccams were great but didnt explain properly how it all works and what liabilities lie in your responsibility.
Armstrong's (the solicitors they use) are not so great, were never really in touch or told me what's happening with the claim and I was always left in the dark, whenever I rang I was consistently told that I wasnt liable for the charges no matter what ect and I'm in the clear, I'm so lucky to have not been at fault.
Just be 100% before going through with these guys and ensure you can prove it wasnt your fault.
If you end at a 50/50 on some occasion they can dismiss your side of the charges but not always.

I can't really write a review as of yet as our claim isn't settled yet, however after reading some of these I'm seriously worried! We've had our hire car for over 10 days now, heard nothing, gave us a fancy Merc which doesn't correlate to the value of our car! BUT I'm concerned over why people use this and not their insurance company? My OH sorted all this because he was recommended by the garage, he went with you because we've never had to claim so we're a bit niaieve, now I know we should have gone through our insurance company! We've recieved a letter from a solicitors over the weekend, what do we actually pay for? I'm ringing up today on my lunch break but wanted an idea before I rang!

Do not use. They gave my wife a bike she didn't really want (said she had to take it for them to take the claim on) then they try to claim over £5000 for rental of it (the bike they dropped off was a £1800 new one ) subsequently my wife had to appear in court because of it. The judge threw it out and called McAMS parasites. Waste of time and one of the reasons insurances are so high. The sooner ambulance chasers like this are banned the better.
