Terrible service when it comes to overage charges.
I have had them 4 years, with relatively no issues. However last week I started getting 250 page faxes about every 10 minutes from a unsolicited business, I couldn't stop the faxes from coming in and each time I got one, Metrofax charged me a $10 overage fee. When I was finally able to get ahold of Metrofax, they told me there is no way to stop in coming faxes, no way to block overages and there was nothing I could do and that they also wouldn't reimburse me for any overages, even when I can't stop them.
I told them I would change to a new service and dispute the $90 overages with my bank, while I did that, and while I was in the middle of porting my number, they shut my account down without notice (even though I was paid through the month) and that stopped my ability to Port my number over.
So now I get the joys of updating all business cards and updating everyone who sends us faxes.
This company can do better, they just don't.

Our company used MetroFax for years
Our company used MetroFax for years, and it works very well. The user interface is fairly easy to navigate and it is nice to have the option to have the account accessible by several different email accounts. However, we did end up cancelling our service, not because we were dissatisfied, but we upgraded our phone systems and attached our fax services to that system. I received support from Joke I in the chat box online, and he was able to process my cancellation quickly and painlessly. He did of course offer several excellent discounts. But in the end, I can only say this service is well worth the cost.

Surprised to get decent chat service & fast
My chat 'person' Glenn R. was very helpful and quickly helped me get my account number and sent me a welcome e-mail so I could log into my account. Once you get past the robot the person is helpful to your specific issue.
I still prefer a customer service representative - there is e-mail as well, chat is better than e-mail, live phone rep is better than chat. What can I say - I like personal service when I can talk to someone.

I was helped
I tried to cancel the service after a free trial because the client I was going to need it for simply decided to take his business elsewhere and I could not afford the recurring fee without his custom. Glenn R. offered a less expensive plan with fewer pages and I changed to it and he helped me with the payment due date because of cash flow restraints. He was very kind and helpful.
