This company is a SCAM
This company is a SCAM. I parked in a client's parking garage for the whole week while working there and you have to pay everytime you drive out. The gate won't open unless you make a payment. Now they came back to say I did not pay twice while going out of the garage.Explained that no way cos the gate won't open if you don't make a payment & all I got is their system did not register the payment. They charged the rental car company $59 for a $6 payment and the customer service lady Jessica was very rude & hung up on me twice.I can see why there is a class action suit against them in Tennessee. They are a FRAUD and SCAM
They are a SCAM
They are a SCAM. New signs posted about pricing fees, not a single one stating event parking fee. Which is usually $20 in my area, and all the other parking lots have no problem putting that sign up. They CHARGED $21. They keep the extra $1 and don’t even mention the $20. Then they ask for a ton of details to check your dispute, assuming that most people won’t have those details saved and won’t take the time to talk to customer support or even NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE in price. Do not use !!
Predatory practice
Predatory practice
This company does not even deserve a star. Can’t imagine why this criminal business is still in operation
If I could give it a zero
If I could give it a zero, I would. We were charged $35.00 for one hour parking. I called to dispute and was told to go through my bank to dispute it. I wonder if it’s a legitimate company.
Metropolis needs to change the notice…
Metropolis needs to change the notice fee policy of $48+ if you don’t pay on time. I use the service for only $3 total and didn’t pay on time and was charge 40 times the amount. Even if it is legal, it is a crooked practice and people will remember this for future generations. Do better metropolis.
If there was a zero
If there was a zero , I would give it to them. Worst service ever. It took them more than half an hour to bring my car. Still charged me for 10hours instead of 2 just because I was 5m over the 2hours. DON'T PARK HERE
Beware Nashville Parkers!
475 Humphreys at. Nashville TN
I’ll never use this online parking service again! They added 2 mins to my parking time in order to raise my charge. I had specifically made certain I was back to my car and off their lot within the 1 hour. Their online chat offered no relief. Simply made the issue worse by keeping me on the chat for several minutes before refusing my request.
Beware Nashville Parkers!!
**1-Star Review
**1-Star Review – Metropolis Parking | Crosstown Concourse Street Lot**
I used the **Crosstown Concourse Street Lot** in downtown Memphis, TN, for the first time, which is managed by **Metropolis Parking**.
During my first visit, I followed the instructions displayed throughout the parking lot. The signs clearly stated that the **first two hours were free**. I scanned the QR code on the sign, downloaded the Metropolis app, and used the parking lot without any issues.
A few days later, I returned to the same location for a dental appointment. Since the app was already installed on my phone, it automatically recognized my vehicle when I entered the garage and started my parking session. **I was not asked to update any information or clearly informed that I needed to take an additional step to receive the advertised two free hours.**
I stayed for less than an hour and left, reasonably assuming there would be no charge because the parking lot clearly advertised the first two hours as free.
Today, when checking my bank account, I was surprised to find a **$5.99 charge** from Metropolis Parking.
I contacted customer service through the chat to find out why I was charged. I was told that I should have scanned **another QR code located on the sign in front of the specific parking space where I parked** in order to receive the two free hours.
This is exactly where I have a problem. **That requirement was not clear to me when I parked.** The app automatically recognized my vehicle and started the parking session, yet there was no clear warning that I needed to complete another step to receive the advertised free parking.
I am not going to waste more time arguing over $5.99. However, I am taking the time to write this review because **the issue is not the amount of the charge. The issue is transparency, misleading communication, and poor customer service.**
If Metropolis Parking requires customers to complete a specific process in order to receive advertised free parking, that process should be made unmistakably clear before a customer is charged.
I hope the management of **Crosstown Concourse** and **Metropolis Parking** review this practice and make the parking rules much clearer for customers.
**$5.99 doesn't matter to me. Transparency, honesty, and respect for customers do.**
Thieves
Parked for 35 minutes at the Lee Street lot in Charleston WV. Site said it was $2.10. Then I leave and get billed $4.38...$1.99 service fee plus taxes on top of the $2.10. For 35 minutes parking?!! THIEVES! Will NEVER park there again.
impressed
I would like to recognize Faith from Metropolis Parking for her exceptional professionalism, leadership, and dedication. She takes outstanding care of the drive and consistently keeps the parking areas organized, safe, and free of improperly parked vehicles. Her attention to detail and commitment to excellence are evident every day.
During the four years I have been receiving treatment at the Pavilion, I have seen many employees and contractors in various roles, and Faith stands out as one of the most capable and effective leaders I have encountered. The positive impact she has had on the parking operation is immediately noticeable, and the high standards she maintains reflect the pride she takes in her work.
I was fortunate to see Faith again today, and once again I was impressed by her professionalism, work ethic, and dedication to helping patients and visitors. She goes above and beyond to keep traffic flowing smoothly and ensure the parking areas remain safe, organized, and welcoming. People with Faith's level of commitment and leadership are rare.
Metropolis Parking should be proud to have Faith representing their company at Corewell Health. Her contributions make a meaningful difference every day, and both organizations benefit from the outstanding service she provides. She is truly an asset, and her efforts deserve special recognition.
I was fraudulently charged for $20.77…
I was fraudulently charged for $20.77 for parking in the Chicagoland area - problem - I never left my house that day. I also only have 1 car and they Metropolis said that it was my license plate on a different car. I only own 1 car and I don't own the car that they claim I have. I also also show the registration of the tag to my car. I can prove that I only have 1 car also. If you Google Metropolis and their deceptive practives or reviews; you will see this is a reoccurring problem with this company. They just got sued and have to pay 9m in the state of TN for their practices.
Their system never sent me an access…
Their system never sent me an access code, so I had to call support to exit the garage. It took me almost an hour to get a hold of someone, and they never sent me a code to pay. Instead, I got a bill with a late fee. This company is a joke.
I parked at the metropolis parking lot…
I parked at the metropolis parking lot across the street from the San Antonio Museum of Art on 6/12/2026. I paid $7.99, but never got a receipt. On 8/14/2026, I received a parking notice saying I had not paid and now owed $61.50. It said this was my third notice, but it was the first I had heard of this scam. I used the QR code to try to navigate to chat with a bot and dispute the claim. I showed them a screenshot of my bank statement of the transaction. They said it wasn't enough. DO NOT PARK IN ANY METROPOLIS PARKING LOTS. THIS IS A SCAM, AND THEY WILL EXTORT MONEY FROM YOU.
Literally park anywhere else
If there was an option of giving zero stars, I would. I unfortunately frequently have to park in one of their buildings when I go to work and I have frequently been charged twice while using another app to pay for my parking upon tonight trying to leave the garage. The garage door wouldn’t go off and they could not help me. It’s possible park literally anywhere else in the world.
Gates were up when I exited a garage…
Gates were up when I exited a garage late in the evening. I exited as normal since they typically are down for people to charge as they exit.
Over 3 weeks later I receive a bill for over $60. $7 in parking and over $50 in fees for a bill I knew nothing about for over 3 weeks.
Unethical business practices beware
They took over the parking structure for what used to be free customer parking at my local Michael’s arts and crafts. I was surprised to have to scan to pay but there was a barcode in the store for validation up to 2 hours. I scanned the validation code. It said on their site it had been applied. I was in the store for 45 mins. I “just drove out of the lot” as instructed and 8 hours later they said I was still there and it was racking up parking fees. I contacted support, they told me they couldn’t help until I went in and tapped some button that said I wasn’t there anymore. Then they adjusted the total and charged me for 2 hours of parking. I asked them to refund that charge because I scanned the validation code and their response was sorry we can’t and sorry if you’re disappointed. I will NEVER park in another lot they manage even if I have to park far away and walk to where I’m going. Terrible customer service and they are stealing peoples money. If you see a Metropolis sign, don’t park there.
Horrible company
I was charged $80 for 16 minutes of…
I was charged $80 for 16 minutes of parking. It said there that $66 for event parking it was a Wednesday nothing going on, end of lunch hour. I did not think I would be charged $80 on a work day with nothing going on for 16 minutes. Do not EVER park here In Houston on Congress and Austin near the courthouse.
Predatory charging practices
Predatory charging practices. Share a vehicle with my husband. When I drive in and use validation. He is stilled charged on his account. After chat removed license plat from his account. They just sent him a parking notice with additional fees. We have a battle with metropolis everytime I grocery shop in the city
AWFUL
My employer has an agreement with Metropolis that allows us to park in their lot as long as we scan a QR code each day. I worked 5 minutes past a 12 hour shift and they refused to validate the discount and charged me 60 dollars. When I called their customer service, I got stonewalled and the agent refused to refund the charge, despite my history of parking in their lot every single day. I asked to speak with a manager and they just kept repeating themselves -- it was basically like talking to an AI.
Also -- two weeks ago they randomly charged my card for a "parking pass" that I never purchased. When I called to request the refund, I was again stonewalled.
This company trains their employees to block any and all requests for refund. You have to fight them tooth and nail to get your money back or threaten a chargeback from the credit card company.
