Asked for help regarding running out of medication due to an error and have been told that i have to wait 7 days and potentially more, without medication. I use cannabis for endometriosis which causes me a lot of pain and leaves me bed bound on some days. Absolutely unacceptable to leave a vulnerable patient in pain for a week and offer no solution. I’ve been told that there’s nothing that can be done and to wait til my next appointment. I am going to be seriously ill if i don’t have meds. Can’t believe i’m paying this much money & this is how they treat patients. Thinking of changing clinics because of this major issue. The agent (Kara) didn’t even offer me ANY solution to the problem which i think is really bad considering i need it to function. Expecting me to pay for extra medication alongside my monthly is unacceptable.
Also going to make a report to GPhC about leaving sick patients without access to medication, until we have dispensaries in this country we’re stuck using these companies.

Subpar service
I have given 2 stars, because the service from Montu was perfect, until it wasn't.
I ran into an issue where one of my medication cartridges leaked. Upon initially emailing them, I received a swift response in which I was given a few good options on replacements etc. My reply to this email has now went 6 full days and counting without a response. I have been without medication for most of this time.
I stressed to the representative that I have no medication currently, and I am in the process of reducing another medication for the same condition, so it is important I get a reply asap. I have called them several times, where I was given falsey promised times I will hear a reply by, as they can only solve this over email, not phone apparently. I will be looking at switching pharmacies after this experience I think.
That being said, all the representatives I've spoke to on the phone about this were polite, understanding, and chased up on the representative who my support ticket was with.
The email quality control representative has done a terrible job at responding to me and should not be working in a position where people depend on them for medications etc. It's absolutely shocking that someone who can't even reply to their emails within a working week is in charge of something like this.
Update:
After informing them I was going to report them to the GhPC, they suddenly resolved the issue in under 18 minutes.

I ordered a vape £10. I wanted to cancel the vape few hours after I placed the order, I wanted to cancel. They said you cant cancel and you have to refuse delivery for a refund! Are these people working with systems from the 1990s? What on earth is going on haha. I would never use them again for that

In the time I have been a patient with Alternaleaf, I have found not only havey communication issues lessened, due to their excellent personal and professionalism. I've also found my physical symptoms lessen alot. I've been able to nearly fully come off nearly all of the opioids I was taking. Every time I've needed anything or asked a question, even nearer the end of the work day. The staff have gone out of their way to help, even working later to resolve any issues. The prices are fair enough, and the amount of products available are excellent. The plus side is there's always new stuff popping up, also so there's always other medication options. I personally keep a spreadsheet of what I've had, so I know which works for what symptom best. I find this way when regulars are out of stock I have a list I can go to of what's worked in the past. The drs and pharmacists are all really nice and so helpful and professional, that it makes the entire experience a pleasure. The chat bot feature is Great and very responsive, I've also found getting hold of Montu and Alternaleaf on the telephone to be incredibly easy. My experience with the company is that good, that I shan't ever be looking to change providers. I have since signed a few fellow patients up to the service. They say like me their quality of life has significantly improved.

It was approved on 22nd May and I had an email to state I’ll be informed once it’s ready to be ordered. It’s now 29th May and still nothing. I’ve been without any medication all week. I’ve even contacted Montu on live chat and been informed that I should be able to order within 24 hours (this was a week ago)
Please stop taking on new patients if you cannot effectively manage your existing patients without being chased.

Montu's my pharmacy, and all of staff have been excellent, particularly Emily who solved my urgent issue, even though I was the one who caused the delay. She is always upbeat, calm and professional. As a patient dealing with military-related issues, that makes a big difference in helping me understand what's happened and when my medication will be ready.
Even more, I am extremely particular, especially when I'm paying money for something,having worked in customer service all my life,I have high expectations, and Emily and Montu have met and exceeded those expectations.

Every three months you'll be left short of medication because for some reason it takes three days for a business to post a letter to itself. I spoke to someone on Monday because I needed my prescription before I went away. Had an appointment on Thursday morning <9. It's now Saturday morning and I leave Monday.
Montu have unfortunately forgotten that their competition delivers within the hour and is far less hassle.
I'm sadly coming to the conclusion that until there's dispensaries and we don't have to deal on the hoops clinics and their pharmacies have us jump through that medical just isn't worth it. Appreciate your dealer and he'll appreciate you. You're just another punter here.

24/05/2026 further edit- they went above and beyond to resolve following an issue with prescription and organised special delivery to ensure meds received before bank holiday.
Edit: stars removed as this pharmacy are really struggling, waited over a week, assured for the past 3 days prescription would be available, now it appears to be lost with no resolution, not at all reliable.
When it works it's great, super easy to order and fast delivery. However it seems there are some issues at play as the advertised 2-3 days to process prescriptions has already become 5+days on only my second prescription with no explanation or heads up. Allow more time than you think to re-up on your meds so as to not get caught short.
