I want to help other people who have been ripped off by Motorhub – they are selling too many cars that are not safe / not roadworthy. Anyone making a complaint on TrustPilot or Autotrader reviews please also point them in the direction of my review.

GOOGLE SEARCH: DVSA report a trader selling unsafe vehicles
To report cars that have been sold which are not fit for purpose and not safe to drive. They will respond within 3 days, if you have sent them evidence they will forward this to their Regional Investigation Team. (It is not the information handling email detailed on their page, send your evidence to dvsa.gov.uk but replace information.handling with enquiries).

AUTOTRADER 0345 111 0003 option 4 (security team) to report a trader. They will give you a reference number and email to send your evidence.

Leave a review on Autotrader and make sure it’s posted. Raise your concerns about disingenuous 5* reviews (unfortunately these aren’t as transparent as the fake 5* TrustPilot reviews).

Autotrader is regulated by the FINANCIAL CONDUCT AUTHORITY. Tel: 0800 023 4567. Complain about Autotrader’s advertising of Motorhub, they will investigate your complaint about Autotrader but you must complain to Autotrader first and get a final response.

WARRANTY WISE complain to warrantywise, there are several email addresses on their site. Email all of them. GOOGLE SEARCH: warrantywise escalate a complaint
This company are providing warranties to Motorhub. Motorhub sell cars that are not fit for purpose with existing conditions, this means you WILL NOT be able to make a claim on the warranty you have taken out. Warrantywise DO NOT inspect/check Motorhub cars.
Warrantywise is NOT regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, therefore complain about Warrantywise to Edd China via his own internet site. Edd China’s expertise in car engines is unrivalled, he deserves to know what he is endorsing.

Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline (CACH) – any complaints feed into the national intelligence database 0808 223 1133. They will take details of your complaint and give you a reference number, complaints will be forwarded to Trading Standards.

We saw a vehicle advertised on line and travelled to Keighley to view. We were happy with the vehicle which showed a mileage of just over 23,000, as advertised, and paid a small deposit. The following day we did some research on the history of the vehicle and found that the MOT from 2021 showed a mileage of 55,617. It would appear that the vehicle had been clocked. We advised Motorhub that we wished to cancel the purchase and required a refund of our deposit, which they have refuse. The matter is ongoing but potential purchasers beware

Purchase from them at your own peril! Purchased a car from them and had issues with fumes coming into the car amongst other things. Complained immediately and they took the car back in for repair, it then broke down within an hour of collection, dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree and had to call recovery because the car wouldn't restart. Went back in for repair but still same issue with fumes coming into car, other minor issues were fixed but not by them. They asked me to contact my local mechanic to confirm issues before allowing me to return it. Fumes entering cabin confirmed by my local mechanic and substantiated with a report of issues found. They then flatly refused to do anything and advised I should use the warranty I'd purchased with the car. As per other reviews the warranty is less than useless and now stuck with a car that gases anyone who travels in it :(( Trading standards here I come !!

I left a holding deposit over the phone and signed no paper work for them to hold a car for me, a couple of days later I cancelled the reservation and now they won't refund the deposit. I was told they would then a manager has got involved saying they have a recorded phone call of me agreeing to pay the deposit which is true but I was never made aware it was non-findable. I believe when you haven't been on site it is classed as a distance sale and I haven't signed anything...avoid in my opinion now got a lot of phone calls and emails to do to get back what is rightly fully mine, they also wouldn't remove it from sale unless I paid for it in full, ridiculous.

SCAMMERS!!! AKA PRIMEX MOTORS...DODGY/ILLEGAL
Do not buy a car from these scammers! Also go by the name of Primex Motors. I wanted to buy the white ford kuga but on taking it for a test drive i noticed the parking sensors werent working at all, and there was a bulb out on the rear number plate. Shaz said he would get the sensors fixed and also replace the bulb. I (stupidly) paid the full amount as requested by Shaz and waited for this to be fixed. Once i got the message from Shaz to arrange collection of the car, I went to collect it again. The sensors were fixed but Shaz explained they couldnt get a bulb from their supplier so told me id have to do this myself but would only cost a few pounds. On inspection on the ford kuga, the sensors were fully working - but then noticed the engine wouldnt turn off using the stop/start button! They tried fobbing me off by telling me its because the spare key was too close to the normal key but when we proved this wasnt the case, they then took it into their garage while we waited. All they did was disconnect the battery then reconnect it, and told us all was fine. When we insisted there was a deeper issue, Shaz apologised and said they would look at it asap and as a good will gesture, once its fixed they will deliver free of charge. As promised, the car was delivered and i was told it was fixed and in perfect working order. Wrong. The engine turned off but only if the lights were switched off. When the lights were on "auto" the engine failed to turn off, so i called Shaz who promised this was a safety feature of the car and is totally normal. I wasnt convinced, so after all these issues i explained i didnt want the car anymore. Communications with Shaz in the following days were stressful, he was rude and swore at me in texts. He sent my refund in bits at a time, never the same amount each time. He still had £500 to refund me, and this is where he tried to rip me off further. He said the delivery of the car cost £250, apparently they changed the break pads and break discs (which i didnt even ask for!) And then tried to charge me for fixing the parking sensors too! So tried to deduct all of this from what he owed me on my refund! As soon as i mentioned i will take him to court he backed down immediately and paid the £500 he owed me!

Check google reviews, not a reputable company at all and seem to be total scammers! STAY AWAY!

Having seen the plethora of bad reviews I decided to check them out for myself. I can honestly say they’re not that bad. Ok, it’s possible they may advertise phantom cars to get you there, a common tactic in the motor trade but I can’t see what they’d have to gain as it’s view by appointment? Furthermore, the cars are below market value so don’t expect platinum franchised dealer service. It’s common sense. So, to conclude, many reviews are totally unfair. If you know nothing about cars and want gold star after sales care, go to a premium dealer/ franchise but be prepared to pay hundreds possibly thousands more. You pay your money you take your chance.

Avoid these guys at all cost, I bought a Jaguar F pace in June 16th this year. I quickly realised that the parking sensor wasn’t working as we stopped at the services. I rang them straight away and they pretended they weren’t aware the parking sensor wasn’t working. I decided to fix it myself as the worthless warranty didn’t cover it. It cost me nearly £400. When I took it to be fixed the mechanics noticed that there was excessive noise and when they did the diagnostics realised that the timing chain was loose. £2300 was quoted bearing in mind I’d only bought this car weeks ago at nearly £11k. I tried the warranty again only to be told it’s not covered. These guys let me drive a faulty car with my two little children in it.

I recently bought a car from them and it broke down in the same day, engine blown and turbo, they don't want to return my money under the consumer rights act, so we will see each other in court.
Not to worry, i will get back way much more.
I don't recommend them, i've called to speak about the issue and they said there is nothing to talk about and the hang out the phone . Absolutely terrible. I will make sure they will not trade for much longer.
