The purchases I have had made from My Perfume Shop have all been spot on I've tried to buy different colognes from eBay and others cause they were a little cheaper but it the end it wasn't worth it !

My Husband has been using this Cologne over the years. He was pleased to get 2 bottles at the rate at which he was paying 1. In just in time with My Perfume Shop. He was all out.

Avoid

Avoid. I have had the same experience as other reviewers - item not in stock, a waste of time trying to get in touch with customer service.

If you want to risk ordering from this company, use PayPal or a credit card so you can easily raise a dispute when (yes, when) your item doesn’t turn up.

Update: Disputed the transaction with my bank. After the bank reviewed the case and agreed with the dispute, I received a cancellation and refund email from myperfumeshop on the same day.

So for people struggling to get a refund out of them - it’s not because they can’t do it. They are choosing not to.

Hi Ben, we're genuinely sorry for the experience you had and completely understand your frustration.

Stock delays were largely caused by the Middle East crisis which had a severe knock-on effect on our supply chain, and to make matters worse, the dates we were getting from suppliers kept shifting, making it very hard to communicate accurate timelines to customers.

That said, you should never have had to go to your bank to get a refund - that's on us, and we're sorry. We have since built a self-service cancellation feature so customers can cancel and get a full refund on their own without needing to wait on our team. We know that doesn't undo your experience, but we hope it reflects that we're taking this seriously.

A significant portion of our delays during this period were caused by the Middle East crisis which severely disrupted our supply chain, and the dates we were receiving from suppliers kept changing, making communication with customers really difficult.

Product never came. Convoluted email replies eventually informing me they never had it in stock. A month later

Still waiting after having confirmed twice that I want a refund.

What's not okay is that you had to chase a refund twice after clearly confirming you wanted one. That should have been handled promptly. We have since added a self-service cancellation feature so customers can cancel and get a full refund without having to wait on our team.

Very slow to deal with

Order placed on the 24/03/26, expected to arrive between 6-11 April, received an email saying stock was expected to land 17th of April, received an email today on the 21st saying it’s been delayed again… not sure why these people drop ship, order all your products and have it available ready to go like all other businesses would, never going to use them ever again after this, slow and tedious process, listen to all the other reviews this place sucks.

The honest reason is that the Middle East crisis caused serious disruption to our supply chain, and the dates we were getting from our own suppliers kept shifting, which made it really difficult to communicate accurate timelines to you. We know that's a poor experience and we own that.

To be clear, we are not a traditional drop shipper. We do hold stock, but certain products were caught up in these global delays outside our control. That said, you should always have the option to cancel and get a full refund, and we have now built self-service cancellation so you can do that without needing to wait on our team.

If your order still hasn't arrived or you'd like a refund, please reach out and we will take care of it right away.

Do not purchase from this company

Do not purchase from this company, it’s an absolute scam. Product delays, to then unavailable, to a store credit, with it only happening over and over again. It has been 4 months, still no product even when an ‘in stock’ product was selected - just multiple automated emails. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THE WEBSITE REGARDLESS OF A SMALL % OF OK REVIEWS. Not worth the pain!!!!

The delays originated from the Middle East crisis which severely disrupted our supply chain. The situation was made worse by the fact that supplier dates kept moving, which led to poor communication on our end and what sounds like a frustrating loop of automated responses rather than real help.

That's not good enough and we're sorry for leaving you in the dark.

I have not shopped My Perfume Shop in a while, but it is still the same: great selections, fast shipping! The perfume I received was spot on! I usually go in the department stores, sniff out the scents I like then come to myperfumeshop.co.nz to find them. I have not been disappointed in all these years!

Just don’t

These people appear to be half a step off drop shippers.
Ordered and paid for a supposedly in-stock item on March 3rd and received April 13th.
An Orwellian experience when it came to dealing with Aubrey the “Customer Happiness Officer”. I asked for a refund three times - I assume (and dearly hope for the sake of humanity) that it was a bot - and was completely ignored.

Additionally- in response to this company’s standard rightspeak response below, I would also encourage potential customers to examine reviews received for this company very closely. For example, if you check here on Trustpilot, you will see that they have had a number of bogus reviews removed. If do you read a positive review for My Perfume, you may note a very similar tone in many.

To address the drop-shipping comment directly: we do hold stock, but the Middle East crisis caused severe disruption to parts of our supply chain, meaning certain items that showed as available were caught up in delays we couldn't fully anticipate. The 6 weeks from order to delivery is not what we want for any customer.

What's worse is that you asked for a refund three times and were ignored. That's a serious failure on our part and we are sorry. Aubrey is a real person, not a bot, but the experience you described is not the standard we hold ourselves to. We have since built a self-service cancellation tool so no customer ever has to chase a refund again.

We also want to be transparent: across the thousands of orders we ship each week, fewer than 10% experience delays. But we know that's no comfort when you're one of them, and we should have done better by you. If there's anything outstanding, please reach out and we'll sort it.
