This was our second trip with Nordic and again another fabulous trip! Our guide Barbara was top notch! Driver John navigated the tough Scottish countryside with ease . You really get the whole experience and history with a guided tour!
Accommodations and meals were great. What a wonderful trip to Scotland and we look forward to our next Nordic vacation !

We have recently completed the "Natural Wonders of Iceland", 10 day/9nights tour - a small-group tour round Iceland on the Ring Road. We started at the end of April and finished at the end of the first week in May - so it was still very cold.

Nordic Visitor were a great travel company to deal with. The online booking process was straight-forward and efficient and the online portal for customers was useful.
We chose the tour over self-drive because it relieved us of the driving and Nordic Visitor handled all the logistics which was great.

We had an interesting group of 15 including two Australians, a couple from England, mother and daughter from Canada, and 9 from USA. The men were outnumbered by the women! We had a great guide, Reynir, who was a really good match with our group. Reynir provided us with very good information about the day's arrangements; was very informative about the places we visited; and provided lots of interesting information about Iceland as we went along.

All the arrangements by Nordic Visitor were flawless for us - from airport pickup on arrival, through day-to-day arrangements on the tour; and transport to the airport on departure. We found all the hotels to be great - from the Fosshotel Reyjkavik to the country hotels around the country. All were very comfortable with good facilities, and the food for the dinners provided had great variety with a blend of Iceland specialties and more familiar favourites. For lunches, Reynir took us to places that allowed the individual tour members to make choices suitable for their preferences and budgets. The tour bus, while nearly full with the 15 on our tour, was tight but comfortable.

The tour took us to the main highlights of Iceland's south/south west - the Golden Circle and Snaefellsnes Peninsula, and also the north where there are fewer tourists. This tour was a great introduction to Iceland and we added a few days in Reyjkavik to the end to see the sights or the capital.

Covering Iceland via the Ring Road in 9 days meant the tour was quite busy, but having two days at Husavik mid-way through and the opportunity for a few hours in Akureyri allowed for a bit of extra flexibility for the tour members.

We pondered long and hard about the various options to tour Iceland - to focus on part or to "do" the Ring Road; shorter/longer; self-drive with organised accommodation or all self-booked; or to hire a campervan. In the end, having done the tour, we were very happy that we chose the small group tour option with Nordic Visitor, and that we chose the 10 day/9 night option. I think that a shorter trip would not have done justice to Iceland.

Nordic Visitor provided tour members with a lot of pre-tour information about appropriate packing for winter or summer tours, information about highlights of Iceland, and information about restaurants. This was very useful in understanding what was ahead of us.

Notwithstanding that our tour was in Spring, many places were already quite busy - so, despite the cold and fresh snow at times, I think all of us were very happy at the timing we chose for our tour.

This was a great tour and I would recommend it without hesitation.

We’ve just finished a tour of Ireland and Scotland with Nordic Tours and would highly recommend this tour company. This was our first small group tour, so you can imagine we weren’t sure what to expect - but everything went along as planned. It was awesome! Mike, our guide, was excellent - a great storyteller! And the accommodations were lovely! Nordic handled all the details. We would definitely book again with Nordic - highly recommend!

Our trip to Scotland was unforgettable! Barbara and John were wonderful, they made us feel like family and put extra effort into ensuring we had the time of our lives. When the weather was rough they added items to the itinerary the next day to make up for it. We only wish we had more time to see more, like more Inverness and some of the other villages.

What made this trip exceptional was the fantastic guide and driver team. Ger and Darrin were so knowledgeable, kind and ever present for our needs throughout the trip. I've been on a number of guided trips and this was by far the best.

Ger and Darin and the great beauty of Ireland made for a terrific trip! We had the best guide and driver. They were fabulous at taking care of us and showing us the best time! Ireland is gorgeous and we saw so many beautiful sights. We loved the sheep dog demo and holding the little lambs. Ger very gently kept us on schedule and Darin got us around safely. They both were informative and fun. Ger managed to accommodate all of our requests and shepherd us from one place to another with such joy and good humor. She was a storeload of info and made us feel like we were her best friends. What a skill!

Our guide Barbara and driver John were excellent. We learned so much about Scotland that we would not have discovered on our own.

Because this was our first trip to Iceland, I wanted to make it easier to plan by going with a company that would book accommodations along the Ring road. The hotels or guest houses would be reasonably distanced so that we could see sights along the way but not feel so rushed that we would be exhausted in getting to our next destination.
I picked the medium priced package and it was perfect because we were staying in a variety of places; some family run and some more formal.
Once we knew our route , I was able to pick sites to see and also made some dinner reservations ahead of our trip.
The tomato farm was a big hit and I was glad I had gotten the last reservation of that day. And that was booking it a month in advance!
We were also very pleased with our drivers to and from the airport.They realize that they are the very first people we would meet on arrival and they enjoyed giving advice and recommendations especially to us newcomers.
Markó was great to work with as well answering my questions in a timely manner ,and offering suggestions along the way.
Booking our 10 day trip with Nordic visitor was seamless and this type of travel gave us control of our own schedule and what we were able to do on our own time.
Thank you for a most memorable trip! We are already talking about what we will see next time!

Nordic Visitor’s s Markó Puskás made booking and organising our holiday in Iceland a breeze. Incredibly helpful and informative. The bottle of Champagne with our welcome pack waiting at the hotel was a lovely touch.
Then, over the next week, our travels in a very comfortable mini bus took us around this fascinating, awesome, otherworldly, chilly and beautiful island.
Trausti Gunnarsson our guide/driver made the experience even more special. He was so well informed and happy to pass that knowledge on. Funny, friendly, skilled, a joy to spend time with. He even took the time to knock on our hotel doors when the Northern Lights were visible.
Overall I cannot recommend Nordic Visitor more.

Our trip to Iceland through Nordic Visitor was an absolute dream trip. The self-driving tour was flawlessly put together, with road maps, points of interest, rental car, and great accommodations all laid out for us. I could rate this company with 5 stars just for the trip-related material they provided -- an excellent spiral-bound tour guide and a map that had been marked up with routes and points of interest.

We had an opportunity to experience Nordic Visitor's 24 hour help desk, as my wife left her backpack at a hotel in Rekyjavik. Dagrun was immediately helpful in locating and securing our forgotten backpack.

From initial inquiry through booking and travel, Zachary Scott was the face of Nordic Visitor for us, and he did an exceptional job. He walked us through the process and answered at least 100 questions from me. His communication was excellent -- responses to my inquiries, reminders, recommendations. When I book my next Nordic Visitor trip I will reach out to Zachary directly, and would encourage anyone to do so also.

The trip from start to finish was perfect. Nordic Visitor truly put together the perfect itinerary for what we wanted to see in Iceland, and for us, it was an amazing tour. I've already got my eyes on the next Nordic Visitor tour!!!

Nordic made our dream of a custom tour of Scotland a reality. We had a small bus and driver/guide that let us plan but also include flexibility. The drivers allowed us to avoid the pressure of driving on the left and navigating unfamiliar roads. Ben, our guide, added so much with his suggestions, information, and wonderful sense of humor. We added things like Dunvegan Castle on Skye, and the Bannockburn experience that filled out our enjoyment. Our Daughter in Law worked hard with Jana to plan our tour and it showed. Using mostly B&Bs with a couple of small hotels our accommodations were very comfortable. Jana's suggestion of traveling in April gave us great weather and small crowds. We met so many nice people and learned so much more. Only a couple of small hiccups of little consequence. We enjoyed our time in Edinburg, and the highlands immensely. This is probably not the cheapest way to tour but I think gives you the best value.

Our Scotland tour with Nordic Visitor was nothing short of amazing! Company is very easy to work with and communication and organization is excellent. We received lots of helpful information leading up to the tour. Our guide, Barry Freestone, kept the organization and communication going. We were amazed at the detailed information he provided! Our driver, John Johnson was a perk! Both of them knowlegable and entertaining! They both made the trip and we felt like we were parting from friends when the tour was over. If we do a guided tour elsewhere in the world, Nordic Visitor is our forever choice!

We just came back from our self drive tour of the highlands in Scotland and it was perfect in every single way. Our travel agent Magdalena did a fantastic job at planning the trip for us as well as suggesting little gems to visit while we were there.

Magda had mentioned to the owners of the guest houses and hotels that we were on our Honeymoon and made sure we were welcomed with warmth. Our rooms were upgraded, there were champagne bottle left for us to celebrate! It was a very nice touch from the Nordic team. We felt like we were in a movie!

Nordic Visitors are quick to answer and keep you updated if there are any changes in bookings.
They also give you a full package of information and leave it in your first hotel room so you have maps, tourism guides and driving guidelines easily accessible. They took care of the car rental which is a thing in less to worry about.

Overall excellent service, I never met Magda but I've learned to know her through our exchanges and it was fun and excitting. But everyone in Scotland was charming, so no surprise there.

I would go back in a heartbeat.

From beginning to end, our experience with Nordic has been exceptional. Our travel advisor, Gabby, was always helpful and returned emails quickly. All of our accommodations and meals were first class delicious. Our itinerary was perfect in terms of what we saw and how much was packed into each day. But the best part was our guide and driver, Barry and John. They made a trip an unforgettable experience and we will never forget them!! Thank you so much!!

From the process of booking the tour with Nordic Visitor, to the tour itself, the experience was exceptional. Magda with Nordic Visitor did a great job as our travel consultant, and her communication was very timely throughout the booking process. As for the tour, I believe the sites visited gave us a well rounded introduction to Scotland and it's history. The accommodations and food were excellent throughout. If you are lucky enough to get Barry Freestone as your Tour Guide and John Johnson as your Tour Bus Driver, I am willing to bet you will rank this tour as your favorite of all time! I would highly recommend Nordic Visitor, and I hope to use them for one of their other tours in the future.

This company was a pleasure to deal with. They provide detailed information at every step. From booking through to the end of the tour everything was very professional and spot on. Adjustments made to our itinerary due to weather were seamless. Accommodations, included meals and our tour guide were top notch. If we return to an area they service, we will definitely book with them again.

We had a wonderful trip. Between Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Oslo, Stockholm was our favorite. We liked everything about Stockholm and our hotel was close enough that walking was easy. The hotel in Copenhagen was very nice, but it was pretty far from any of the sites a person would want to see. It was a pretty long walk before getting to anything. My son and I never had a day planned. We would eat breakfast and start walking. Most of our adventures were from seeing something and then walking to it. He also like being in Stockholm for the world cup match between Sweden and Poland. He was jumping up and down as much as the locals in the pub we stopped at. We really enjoyed the different restaurants and food we had in Stockholm. Copenhagen could have been better but a lot of things were closed when we were there due to the Easter Holiday. There was not as much stuff to see or do in Copenhagen as we experienced in Stockholm. In fact we enjoyed Stockholm so much, we flew back at the end of our tour and spent another evening exploring. The ship from Copenhagen to Oslo was very nice and we had calms seas which made the voyage very comfortable. Coming into Oslo is very scenic from the water. We rode around on scooters and stopped a spot and accidentally stumbled into the Mathallen Oslo Food Market. I doubt many tourist go there but we had a wonderful dinner inside. Overall, we were very happy with the trip arrangement made by Nordic Visitor. My only suggestion would be a hotel closer the center of Copenhagen to minimize the extra walking required. Frida did a very nice job for us and I am happy with her services.

We had always wanted to see Iceland, and we are glad we chose Nordic Visitor's small group, multi-day format. Our guide, Snorri Ingason, is very knowledgeable and entertaining. This was evident when, due to changing weather conditions, we were unable to drive to certain sites as planned. He was able to quickly replan and took us to several other beautiful sites that we otherwise would not have seen had we been traveling on our own.
Marko Puskas, our Nordic Visitor travel consultant, kept us informed throughout the whole vacation process, from the time we made our reservation to post-trip, with reminders and helpful packing tips.

This was our first visit to Scandinavia. Nordic Visitor helped give us a really good overview of each country as we toured along. The pre-planned self guided service was perfect for what my son and I were looking for. It was a good mix of educational and recreational experiences. They were responsive to any questions I had and did their best to accommodate any last minute changes that popped up due to the quick weather changes. I would recommend their service to anyone coming up to Scandinavia. Ellen Yee was my advisor and she did a fabulous job keeping me informed.

Our contact at Nordic Visitor was very organised, very efficient and ensured every aspect of our holiday was awesome.
We were provided with a detailed itinerary for each day, as well as vouchers for accommodation, transport, activities, food and porter service, as necessary.
Everything was very well organised, with all necessary details easy to understand.
The locations and choice of our hotels could not have been better. They were all situated close to both our transportation as well as the attractions and activities within each area.
I am pleased to say that there was only a couple of small changes to our plans and our consultant advised us immediately and, provided us with alternatives where possible .
