I will be on Nutrisystem indefinitely

I will be on Nutrisystem for one year on January 2, 2024. I had 75 pounds to loose but only hoped I would loose some if I tried it. Almost one year later, I have lost 58. Actually, I am fine now, if I wanted to stay at my present weight. I am reaching for my high school weight. Only 17 pounds more to go! If you had told me a year ago, I would be 58 lbs. lighter, I would have never taken that bet!!! Plus, I love the food. I am going to be on NS indefinitely.

Beware of NutriSystem

If I could give them a negative review I would. I guess it is my fault but I called in last week and cancelled before my next shipment which was scheduled today the 11th of January. Well it shipped, when I called they had no record of my call, the last one was in March of this year. Wrong. Trying to cancel the plan with them is a nightmare of stupid questions all aimed at trying to retain as many customers as possible. I had deleted my credit card from my account and they charged to it anyway. I am filing a complaint with the BBB and broadcasting this to every social media outlet I can get in touch with.

WARNING

I don't even know where to begin but suffice to say, STEAR CLEAR! This company is very dishonest in the way they run their business. It says a lot when you try to call customer service but there is actually no option to speak with someone in customer service for an established account! Its also impossible to cancel an account on-line. You must submit a request and cross your fingers. Still have not heard back. Its a law suit waiting to happen!

Nice plan, rude Service

Let me start by saying it works! I lost over 50 in about 6 months. The frozen food is better than dry. Have realistic expectations on food. Remember this is a diet! That being said they say satisfaction guaranteed, only the first month. After that no take backs. They are nice and helpful until you go to stop plan. I had planned to still order a few items alicart even after exceeding my goals. Not anymore, I’ll find alternative else where. They acted soooo rude. Understand your contract too. You can’t cancel for a while without penalty

DON'T DO IT!!

DON'T DO IT!!! Just Avoid at ALL COSTS! I did not sign up due to weight loss, but bc I do not cook and am Type I Diabetic. I need to eat. I tried and the food is barely edible. Not sure who is saying it is good. When I wanted to cancel (due to being in hospital ICU) I made arrangements but my "case" had to be sent to review which would take a few days. This was bc I missed the deadline for that shipping by ONE HOUR! The representative told me, no worries. I would be able to refuse the shipment and then could get the credit, assuming the company did not agree to cancel. Mind you, all of this was PRIOR to them even preparing my shipment. I refused. I received a temporary credit on my cc from Capital One. Nutri System stated I did not follow the guidelines and did not credit my account. So now I am out over $400. This company is a racket and simply AWFUL. I will post as many reviews as I can, since I am a single parent school teacher and they essentially are just looking to harm/hurt those who are willing to try their DISGUSTING food!

They'd get negative stars if I could give them

This company provides an "electric fence" experience from the get-go.

The way the "consultant" showed total disrespect for my time in the beginning should have been a major clue of what to expect. I told him that it was my wife's birthday, and that we had plans so we had to keep the time on the phone to a minimum. Did he care? Noooo! He just kept prattling on and on with some script I suspect he was reading. Once we got the order entered, after telling him politely three times we had to wind it up, he just kept prattling on and on. I finally just hung up.

Thinking that was an exception, I stayed with it. Boy, was I wrong. That is the way this outfit operates! It's all about them.

Trying to get through on the phone is a nightmare. You have an interminable automated menu that keeps looping you after you make a selection. It takes 10 minutes of trial and error to get through to a human.

The food is just processed junk. It bloated my wife so she had to quit after a week so I was stuck with all the food (and still am). It's full of chemicals and additives, giving me an unending supply of gas! Just bad, bad stuff. Since I prepaid, the cancellation fee was so punitive, I stuck it out even though I should I stuck it out.

Listen to this! When all my prepaid shipments were completed, I called to cancel to stop any future shipments, AND THE CUSTOMER NON-SERVICE REP REFUSED TO CANCEL UNLESS I ANSWERED HER TERMINATION QUESTIONS! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT??? So guess what? I answered them alright...with made-up answers.

Bottom line, all they really offer other than the maximum customer abuse experience is portion control and convenience. You can do that yourself using better quality ingredients...and you can do it keto, which Nutrisystems does not offer.

I told the b*t** that refused to cancel my subscription until I played her game that I would make it a point to tell everyone I know and meet about the way I was treated and advise them to avoid this company.

The food I have left, I have in my car and I had it out to panhandlers at intersections. After all, they want money for food, right? So hey, give them food!

Nutrisystems...good riddance to bad rubbish.

CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS BECOME A DISGRACE

I'm of two minds about Nutrisystem. On the one hand, the program works, which, of course, is the most important thing. Yes, I am a repeat customer, but that's my fault.

However, the company's customer service has become a nightmare! Wait times on phone hold are now at least 45 minutes, and that's if you're lucky. Once you get an agent, you find out that they CAN'T AND WON'T answer any questions you have about the plan you're on.

Such questions are strictly the province of their "Nutrition Counselors," new creatures for Nutrisystem--WHOM YOU CANNOT SPEAK WITH EXCEPT BY MAKING AN APPOINTMENT. I had to wait for five days for my appointment--to ask questions like "Is black coffee a substitute for water?" (It is, but no rep would answer the question.)

When I finally had my appointment with the "Counselor," she BEGAN by saying that she had only 15 minutes, which she repeated four or five times in the call, punctuated by comments like "I have to make my next call," starting after five minutes. Btw, she said she'd e-mail sample meals for Weeks 2+ to me, which would have been a big help, since there were THREE such sample weeks on line and on their app, all of which were different. Of course, she didn't do that.

Altogether, the "Counselor" made me feel like an IRRITANT, not a customer. She seemed annoyed that I even had questions.

THIS IS WHAT NUTRISYSTEM HAS BECOME. DON'T GO THERE!!!

Almost Impossible to Cancel

I knew going in Nutrisystem was a high-pressure sales company and that cancelling would be challenging. I had a recent vacation and asked Nutrisystem to delay my automated orders until had a chance to review them coming back. They did so on my account by not my wife's. I called them to see if they could stop the processing since the email want out within 12 hours but they refused. In addition, the orders were filled with substititions that I didn't request, and the cost is just too darn high for what you get. It took two phone calls today to get them to cancel my subscription, which doesn't leave a good impression. So instead of them working with me to cancel an order I didn't want, they end up with a poor review. Looks like I'm in good company.

Greatly disappointed. A pure scam

Me and my wife ordered one plan each. Some of the lousy food had added sugar and we ordered her the diabetic plan!
The food is not good at all and extremely small portion. One meal is only a fruitbar. I would warn anyone to stay away from this. The TV ads show bigger and nicer food. Don't fall fall for that there a r e much better and healtier alternatives

I’m going to make this known on every social media platform out there. You don’t care one bit about helping people or you’d have healthy food.

Nutrisystem - Customer Service - NOT!

Nutrisystem has gone totally online. If you would like a printed copy of the 50+ page guidelines book, or any of the other guideline materials, you must print them YOURSELF! At the cost of the program, I would think Nutrisystem would be able to send a person a PRINTED & MAILED to you, rather than the CUSTOMER using up paper and very expensive ink to do this yourself. I don't know about you, but I like to highlight info I need to remember, and that makes for a very messing computer screen! Why can't THEY print it out and send it to me in the mail? Cheap-ass company once they get your money. Customer Service means NOTHING to these people. Also - when you take them up on their offer to pay for 3 months to get a reduced monthly rate on shipments, they then ADD that "discounted" amount to all future shipments. So by the end of 6 months, you have saved nothing. AND if you continue with the program, you were better off NOT taking the "discount", as the higher cost is now what you will be paying. Stay away from this Customer Service-less company.

My first order of Nutrisystem arrived…

My first order of Nutrisystem arrived and most of the food I received was not what I ordered. I purposely selected the food instead of using “chefs choice” due to my personal preferences and medical conditions. They sent chocolate muffins , not frozen which I did not order, which tasted like chemicals and had mold on some. When I contacted customer support and expressed my disappointment with my food selection not being followed and the moldy chemical muffins, they authorized a return. When I went to return the dry foods, the rep had given me a number that could not be identified as a return auth code. So I got a different rep on the phone for an accurate number. They received my package at their warehouse, which I had to pay 20$ to return it, on September 14th. So several weeks went by, no refund. Again had to call back and was told they need the tracking number of the package. This despite having record of it in the warehouse.
No one told me I needed to provide a tracking number with any of my calls to customer service and that I had to wait at least two weeks for this to be entered in their system , then another 2-4 billing cycles before it would be credited back to my card. The reps were short , rude , and unwilling to resolve this order and a possible diabetic reorder. I find this to be very poor customer relations and merely a way to stall reimbursement. Not to mention the rudeness I experienced. The food they sent me, instead of fulfilling my original choices, were full of sugar and highly processed carbs. I know now that Nutrisystem is not a good choice for anyone who is conscious of ingredients .

Save Yourself The Headache and Go Elsewhere!

We should have known this was gonna be a terrible experience when they totally messed up our first order! We just assumed it was because it was our first time ordering and they would work the bugs out. Well after hours on the phone there was one customer service person that actually helped straighten it out. After two months all the food kinda just tasted the same so we decided to cancel. I'm pretty sure a bill could be passed through Congress faster and easier that our experience trying to cancel. When we finally thought it was cancelled we came home to find they had only cancelled my wife's portion and not mine and now they are saying we have to pay to send back their mistake which is ludicrous. I am a totally disabled veteran and don't have extra money to be paying to fix people's mistakes who obviously aren't capable of doing their jobs to begin with. I will say that whatever I have to pay ship this back will be worth it to get rid of this garbage company. Please save yourself the headache and shop elsewhere. And Dan Marino you used to be my favorite quarterback of all time, shame on you for endorsing this company!

Poor Order Substitution / Discontinued Item Assistance

I've been on Nutrisystem since late May of 2023. The program has worked for my wife and I but a disturbing pattern regarding order selection/product substitution has emerged. On my last five orders, Nutrisystem has substituted a different item than I ordered. When I called to inquiry, I was told that they were out of stock and/or the item was discontinued. There wasn't any advance warning so that I could decide what to order instead of a warehouse worker. When I complained and asked why they didn't provide a list of items to be discontinued, I was given the e-mail to "customerexperience at nutrisystem". I wrote a detailed letter explaining my frustration with the lack of notification and the rely I received back was typical corporate 2 stepping:

Thank you for your email to Nutrisystem. We apologize for the substitutions in your order. Although Nutrisystem takes every reasonable measure to have sufficient inventory to fill your order, availability of product(s) may change without notice. Nutrisystem is not responsible for unavailability of product due to popular demand, whether discontinued or still in production. In the completion of orders, Nutrisystem reserves the right to substitute a similar product.

Nowhere did they address the communication issue OR the fact that they have not yet introduced any new selections to replace the discontinued items. In fairness, the live CSR did provide a $20.00 credit to our account. However, this is not a solution to a underlying problem for people that stay on the program for an extended period. I hope enough pressure can be put on management so that they communicate better with their customers.

I’ve used Nutri system in the past and been satisfied. BUT This time I ordered it and started taking it. Then it just wasn’t working for me. I called and wanted to cancel automatic delivery and stop it. They told me I would be charged $159 for not reordering. I protested but didn’t realize it was in the print. Dont Sign Up for Auto Ship

I received an email my food was going to ship. I tried to extend again and it would not let me. I have a freezer full that I have not used. You cannot cancel on your page which is not right. So I emailed on July 8th before the food. I wanted to cancel. My daughter was in the hospital and I did not see if I got a reply. Then I get your card has been charged and the dry goods are on the way. I called since the frozen hasnt hasnt shipped to cancel that portion. The nice man says I have taken care of cancelling and now will tranfer you to someone who will take care of the rest for you. What a joke this lady so rude tells you too bad and reads you all the contract information. Says you can ship back at your cost the dry food but even though the frozen hasnt shipped you cannot cancel it because other people want this food too. What even does that mean. She than tells me how this is the worst part of her job. Stick to weight watchers dont do the auto ship on this. Also now since I did not get to change the food they will substitute for food I dont want. Very sorry I ever did this.

Be avare

Be avare! Its fraud! I have signed for one month just to try program, with no automatic payment. I canceled after months and they kept charging my card over $700 per month!! I had to get new credit card! Don’t give them your info, be carful!
