We were looking for a solid wood mantle to go above the log burner in our new home, and were happy to find a local Yorkshire based company with great pricing.

We were impressed with the range of sizes and woods, opting for walnut. Yes it took time to arrive but that's what you get when not purchasing mass produced stuff. More than happy with the end product and will order again, I've no doubt!

Really pleased with our Solid Oak Mantel Beam. Great quality exactly what we were looking for. Dom and the team kept in touch and delivery was on time. Already had lots of compliments.

Ordered a 9 hook coat rack with shelf from Off the Grain. Placed order on 1st Dec and Received on the 19th as the rack was custom made from scratch. Really pleased with the quality. Communication from the company was pleasant and responsive. Would highly recommend.

Placed order in September, paid for order, advised it would be 5-7 working days. It is now 23/12/25 and we have only received 1 of the 3 items ordered. Tried calling numerous times, got through once, advised goods would be shipped and a 10% refund would be applied, neither of which have happened. Tried calling again, answer machine now states they are not accepting calls and suggests e-mailing. E-mailed a number of times, received one response advising that the goods will be shipped before Christmas. Goods have still not been shipped and they have stopped replying to e-mails again. Disgraceful service.

We were looking for a nice hanging rail for our outside coats that would work in our converted barn - and we found this wonderful site. It arrived beautifully packed and made. Would use them again and thoroughly recommend their products.

Ordered a coffee table. High quality product which looks great in our home.
Really, really pleased with it. Couple of points - no allen key provided as promised although everything else was there, one of the fixing plates had pre-drilled holes which were far too close to the edge, and some drilling (for some of the screws) is required. However, this is still a five star quality product and well worth the money. Would recommend.

My sister ordered same coat rack and looked great, so copied her! Great communication and updates from company. Arrived quickly and looks fab up on wall.

Good quality British made easily fixable wall hook board.

This is the second oak coat hanger I have ordered from Off the grain because I loved the first one so much.
Quality of the product is very high, easy to fit to the wall and looks amazing!

Beautiful product. Looked at buying a long panel of coat hooks from the Cotswold company but then found a much better version from Off the Grain with lots of different size options, beautiful wood and handmade. Dom also followed up with a text message to check that everything was okay (which I've actually noted to do for my own business as it was such a nice touch!). Athough we didn't have any issues or concerns, I get the impression that they would do all they can to help. Highly recommend.

Quality of the product was not great unfortunately. I was excited when my coat hook arrived today after ordering 4 weeks ago but could instantly see some of the wood is splintered at the ends which has just been painted over. Real shame as want to support UK business but for a £90 simple coat hook, the quality has to be better. Communication from the seller was regular but they don’t commit to a delivery date when your order, you just have to wait and see when it comes.
