Poor customer service. Delivery delayed and manager only offered solution of paying for second order.

Placing the order was straightforward and I'm sure I shall be happy with the quality of the produce as always.
The confirmation of the order however wasn't clear but I took a photograph of my order so all is well

I am blessed to have found such a great butcher that delivers first class meat and poultry, well sourced, of good provenance, sustainable and very fine.

This is a difficult review to write because I really like Parson's Nose as an in-store experience and their meat is always excellent. But....

I tried 6 times to order a chicken online without success before eventually contacting them. Each time I was unable to check out and the website looped me back with an empty basket.

When I contacted Parson's Nose about this, their first instinct was to assume I had not cleared the website cache. I had. Then they said perhaps the discount I was seeking was not on the product I wanted. It was. In the end, to prove this was a website issue rather than my fault, I recorded a screen video and sent it to Parson's Nose. Only then did they accept it was a technical issue at their end.

They offered to make the purchase on my behalf. When I tried to pay via the link they sent, I was told the product was out of stock.

We eventually got it resolved, but what should have been an easy 2 minute website transaction took over 4 hours to complete and the emphasis was on me (a loyal customer) to get it resolved.

I even gave Parson's Nose an opportunity to discuss this further before posting this Trust Pilot review. They did not reply.

Quality of the food and excellent delivery with DPD who are reliable and always excellent. Packing is top quality. You get what you pay for! Would like greater discounts for being a repeat customer but that is a minor request and does not take away from a 5-star rating.

I thought that I was already set up with an account because I have the app on my phone.... I then realised that there were a few more steps to go through. I would have given five stars if there had been some sort of clarification on the app or the website that I hadn't got a proper account yet. Once in, I was able to order what I wanted for Christmas(!) and get a good discount. Thank you.

A really easy to navigate website and high quality products. The home delivery service is excellent.

I have ordered from Parson's Nose for several years. The quality of food and service remains exceptional! The Sutton Hoo chicken is my favourite Sunday roast. And the sausages!

The webpages are not intuitive. For example, customers need to select ‘Delivery’ to then choose ‘Collection’. Adding a voucher code is right down the bottom of the payment page rather than at the top where customers expect to find it to then calculate the price (less discount). Finally, when using PayPal, the site doesn’t accept the PIN. Thankfully, customers can switch to credit/debit card. I’m glad to have got the email at last to confirm my order. The web designer needs to play at being a customer so they can find and correct these niggles. Fortunately, the Parson’s Nose products are so good that we can forgive the foibles of the website.

The up to the minute information about the delivery was excellent and I’m glad I was able to order so close up when I actually needed the items. The delivery was seemless and the food ordered was great quality. I made some homemade burgers for a barbecue with the mince and they were super tasty, the traditional pork sausages were fantastic and the chicken thighs I ordered in order to make some spicy kebabs was also really good quality.

Marinated chicken in honey and mustard was delicious cold. We brought it on a fancy picnic ánd it was perfect.

Very good meat at tempting discounts with an excellent delivery and back up service. Highly recommend
