An absolutely amazing Company ! Which we used since they first opened . Ajay and Tom and all the team are such nice people you won’t get any other companies that treat you the way they do . The yards and materials they have are top notch ! They are always on the end of the phone if any kind of problem develops . Paving stones direct go above and beyond. We’ve been a customer for a while now and I cannot fault their customer service ethic and their products. They delivery quality goods on time every time and are super helpful with any queries we have.

We had an atrocious and stressful experience with Paving Stones - and would not recommend them to supply any tiling projects to prospective or existing customers.

We placed 2 separate orders totalling GBP1250+ for a small garden renovation project, and on both occasions they have really let us down.

1) Delivery Issues
Having fully disclosed during the first main order placement (GBP1000+) of an access restriction in our suburban postcode (a smaller than standard truck was needed) and having paid extra for this, Paving Stones' third party courier failed to ensure a smooth delivery.

There were 2 failed attempts before the order finally reached us.

The first time round Paving’s courier unexplicably tried to deliver with an 18 tonne truck, the second time round the (presumably smaller) truck apparently had experienced ‘parking issues’ (when the driver called the office querying potential fines from the restricted access sign, Pavings had allegedly informed them they would not cover any resulting parking fines). Delivery was only effected on a third attempt.

Paving Stones' response was that (1) no refund would be offered given their SLA was ultimately met, and (2) there was a disclaimer on their order confirmation email recommending that ‘we should not commence building work prior to the delivery of goods’.

When we acted in good faith by taking care and expense to ensure a smooth delivery access, this was thrown back in our faces with Paving Stones hiding behind their dodgy delivery company and inadequate level of coordination.

Given the first two botched delivery attempts - and inaccurate 'estimated time of deliveries’ provided to us - we wasted a lot of time coordinating the whole affair and our builders were ultimately left waiting around and forced to work on other tasks in the interim.

2) Damaged Tiles
During our second order for 10 supplemental tiles (GBP200+)- we were provided with earlier 'AM delivery' as a goodwill gesture, due to the delivery issues experienced in the first main order.

After the estimated delivery time was provided (circa 9 AM on the specified day), again there were delivery issues with Pavings’ delivery company, in which a too-large truck attempted and failed to come into our address. This further underscores the lack of coordination and care.

Delivery was then reattempted that same day with a smaller truck, last thing in the day (circa 4.45 pm), in which at least 1 tile was visibly damaged on delivery.

We immediately reported this to the driver waiting, and we called Paving Stones before their closing time (before 5.00 pm). During that call, we were confirmed that the driver should be released, that we should through and take photos of 'all the 10 tiles' to assess for any further damage and assured we would be taken care of.

Overnight we instructed our builders to take photos when they returned to work first thing in the morning. In the morning when they arrived, our builders supplied us with photo evidence that an additional 4/10 of the tiles were broken (so a total of 5/10). We immediately passed on the photos of the damage to Paving Stones via email circa noon time requesting a proportionate refund in line with our contract.

In the meantime, our builders had started work to salvage what they could with the tiles, since it was the last day on the building job before they had to move on to another project.

Paving Stones ignored our email, so when we placed an urgent follow-up phone call later same day to them, to our surprise, they informed us we in fact needed to 'take a video of all the tiles and lay them out side by side' before they would consider any refund or replacement.

These additional conditions (1) were not part of the signed contract, and (2) contradicted and was not communicated to us in phone call the day prior when we immediately informed them of damage. This is illegal, misleading and in breach of the Consumer Rights Act.

Multiple follow-up calls with the company were fruitless.

The explanation provided was that Paving Stones would be unable to recover from the third party supplier’ and ‘the tiles were fit for purpose since you laid them’. The first reason is irrelevant to the fact that damaged goods were supplied, and the second reason is presumptuous (we ended up being forced to break the tiles to be used as coppings, instead of having a broad selection of natural stone to finish laying onto the main visible flooring, per our expectations).

If we had waited around- we’d be forced to hire the builders for even longer, delay their follow-on pre booked projects, whilst being left with a half-finished garden, all whilst Paving Stones decided whether to refund us or ship us replacements.

Our experience caused a lot of stress. We'd avoid future customers to STAY AWAY.

Lillie has been absolutely fabulous. From our initial contact all the way through to arranging delivery of my order I could not have asked for more.

I dealt with a lovely young lady called Natasha. She was knowledgeable about EVERYTHING I asked. Kind,considerate, helpful,just couldn't do enough for me.She made me feel validated. If I was to order one slab or 1,000,her job was to help and help she did. Samples and a brochure were sent the next day. Natasha and Paving Stones Direct are second to none. Can't wait for my new,posh amazing patio to be laid.

After encountering problems with a local company, I was reluctant to use an online paving supplier. However, after doing some research and hearing a lot of good things about Paving Stones Direct, I decided to contact them. The customer service I received from Lillie was exceptional: helpful, prompt and competent. I had samples delivered quickly, followed up with an order that was delivered on time with no problems. (Mandac the delivery driver was great too).
