I couldn’t recommend Paws at peace highly enough. From me making the phone call to arrange the appointment to Kim visiting our house the compassion and kindness shown was amazing. We were able to say goodbye to Alfie on his sofa as he went to sleep for the final time. And we were given as much time as we needed, no travelling to the vet and having a rushed appointment.
I’ve used Paws at Peace several times now and the best thing I can say is that having other dogs I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again when needed

A wonderful service, they take so much care to make what is a terrible decision easier to bear. This was such a good decision for us and so much better than having to visit our vet. Tilly died at peace in our garden, as she would have wanted to. Highly recommended.

Kim from Paws at Peace was truly incredible. She came out at short notice to help my very loved cat Sam pass peacefully at home, and I’ll never forget the kindness and compassion she showed us in those final moments.

She was calm, gentle, and respectful—giving Sam the dignity he deserved and helping me through something I was dreading. Her presence made an unbearable goodbye feel peaceful and safe.

What Kim does is more than just a job, it’s meaningful, compassionate work, and I’m so grateful she was there for us. Thank you, Kim

Unfortunately I had to have my cat Winnie put to sleep a week ago and wanted this done in my own home. When the time came I contacted Paws at peace who from the first phone call were amazing. Everything was explained to me over the phone and the empathy and understanding was amazing. The lady on the phone had such a lovely calming voice as I was quite a mess. When Kim came out she came in she was amazing. She explained to us the full process with such a level of understanding and compassion and this made us feel much more at ease. Nothing was rushed and we were given time with our girl in private before it took place. I cannot recommend Paws at peace enough, this is an outstanding service which makes the whole process much more personal and allows you the time you need. Kim is amazing and she gave me a cuddle at the end. I would recommend them to anyone 100%.

We had to let our beautiful 16year old border collie go to sleep with this wonderful team.
From telephone call to him going to sleep in his own home the team showed so much compassion and professionalism, they made such a difficult, very emotional experience so much better.

We can’t thank Kim at Paws at Peace enough for giving us the opportunity to say goodbye to our beloved Labrador Poppy in the most peaceful, stress free and dignified way possible.
We knew the time had come and as much as it broke our hearts we didn’t want to put Poppy through the stress and anxiety of travelling to the vets. Being able to have her peaceful passing surrounded by her family in the comfort of her own home meant everything to us.
Kim was compassionate and understanding throughout the whole process giving Poppy the dignity and respect she deserved whilst giving us the time and space to say our final goodbyes. Thank you so much 🐾🌈

the cost was very very fair and affordable which left some money over to give buster a loving send off through roseberry pet cremation who kim liaised with for us.

It is four weeks since our loving, kind and patient black Labrador Bronte passed. My heart is breaking and aching for her constantly but I can truly say that she left us in her typically gentle and considerate way, just snoring softly after the first calming injection. I have absolutely nothing but gratitude and praise for Kim. She arrived late evening very swiftly, yet still gave us as much time as we needed to say a final farewell. Thanks to Kim's compassion and expertise our beloved girl left us with the same quietude and dignity that exemplified her life and her velvet paws are most certainly at peace. A simply wonderful organisation and wholeheartedly recommended.

I lost my soulmate 3 weeks ago. It was the hardest decision I will ever had to make. When I called paws at peace I had not made the decision as I felt guilty. The staff never pressured me they only made me aware of how Zak was feeling and we talked about his quality of life.
They were very supportive and listened to my stories of Zak then comforting me through my tears and heartbreak.
When the day came Kim arrived and was very respectful of what we wanted and how to deal with Zak’s stress and anxiety. She gave us time and space to say goodbye to my best friend in the comfort of our home with no stress for him.
They arranged the next steps for us and ensured the cremation staff were on route to collect Zak.
We have had check ins from Kim and other such kind words about my baby.
I would highly recommend paws at peace to help with the passing and loss of your fur babies. 💔

Where to start. Sadly my beautiful Chubbs was been beaten by his cancer and muscle wastage and nothing else could be done. We always agreed we would not let our beautiful boy suffer and when his quality of life was affected we'd let him go. That day came and vaguely remembered my vet saying choices we had and heard home euthanasia.I didn't even know it was an option. I left devastated 💔 but suddenly remembered I'd seen a post on our local Facebook page someone asking for recommendations for home euthanasia, so I went on and found it, so many people recommended Paws at Peace so I reached out. Kim got straight back to me, I chose email contact initially as I was so upset and her words made me cry even more but she reassured me it was normal to feel the guilt I was. Felt very strange choosing a date for our boy to leave, arranging his cremation and his ashes casket and keepsakes all whilst he was sat snuggled up to me, oblivious 😐 The day arrived and Kim was our rock, she took time to chat with us and my girls and included my other pug Roley. When that time came she even remembered I'd said he loved custard creams and she gave him one before he fell asleep. She never rushed us at all , we took the lead and my boy passed peacefully with all of us and his brother in his own home where he felt safe, not in a vets where he didn't like to go. She let me carry my boy out to her car where he had a nice soft blanket for his final journey to the crematorium. She took care of everything and made my last week with my boy less stressful than it already was.
I honestly can not thank Kim and the team enough. Im glad I went down this route and when the time comes round again will not hesitate to contact Kim again,as only the best for my boys.

Kim was incredible with us from the initial phone call to right through, even texting us and sending us a beautiful sympathy card. She was amazing with us as a family when the difficult time came to say goodbye to our 15 year old dog. We will never forget the compassion she showed us all. We felt very cared for and in the safest hands.

They do an unbelievably difficult job but the way they cared for us all shows clearly that they are the best people to look after animals and families in their time of needs.

We will be forever grateful to them x

At that moment we all dread Kim paws at peace came within an hour and listened to our way for my fur baby and did not drag it out companionate and dignified at our worst emotional time so would recommend highly saying goodbye at home like this is the best way I’ve experienced thankyou so much

It seems so strange to rate a service 5 stars for something so incredibly sad but it was.
Paws to Peace was recommended to us by a friend who'd used them a few months earlier.
The vet's was not an option for me as out gorgeous boy Otis was never their biggest fan.
From start to finish Kim and the team were fantastic. So compassionate and went at our pace giving sound advice even on how to tell our 9 year old.
Neil who visited our home was so professional and had Otis best interests at heart. Otis went peacefully surrounded by cuddles and that's all we could have asked for.
The lovely card send a few days after was a lovely touch too. ❤️

We had to say goodbye last week to our 15y/o border collie lexi. We decided on at home as she was nervous of the vets. This process was seamless, calm and absolutely the best choice for her. She litrally just want to sleep in her bed getting cuddles.
Vet text both before and after updating and checking in and he was genuinely a lovely bloke. Then we received some lovely little keepsakes through the post which was really nice. 10/10 service on every level from everyone.

When i made the decision for my girl . Paws at peace were fantastic from start to end . Any questions I had were answered. Nothing was a problem. They gave my girl the dignity she deserved and we couldn't have asked for better

We had to let our 15 year old labradoodle Lexie go, we opted for her to go at home surrounded by her family, other dog and in her own bed. Anyone who’s going through this agonising decision we think that “at home” is the kindest, last thing you can do for your pet. The team at paws for peace could not have been better, from the heartbreaking initial call to Kim to Neil the vet whose kindness and compassion made the whole experience that little more bearable. Abi is a complete credit to Paws at Peace - her peaceful, empathetic nature created a calming environment for my whole family where we were able to spend the time we needed with Maisie to say our goodbyes. I will always be thankful to her for her kindness.

From the heartbreaking moment of having to make the call to Pets at Peace, Sam's understanding and compassion at the end of the phone line was the start of the most comforting and supportive experience at the hardest of times.
Our adored rescue cat Roger had definitely spent all his nine lives before he came to live with us. After his previous traumas he learned how to trust and showed us his love. When he reached the end of his time with us we wanted to give him the dignity of not having to be in another clinical setting, but to be in his safe and familiar home. Kim came out and was so empathic and patient. She took the time to hear our gorgeous boy's story and understood the emotional conflict of not wanting him to suffer anymore, but also not wanting to say goodbye. Kim was the epitome of caring, compassion and professionalism. Ensuring at each stage our understanding and readiness, with no pressure or rush. As we said our final goodbye, Kim also arranged for Roseberry Pet Crematorium to come out and Ben was equally as supportive.
Roger is back home in the beautiful urn we had chosen, with his framed paw prints and a little jar of his fur. We cannot thank Kim and the team enough. They followed up with check in emails and a very thoughtful card with a heartwarming message. They are a credit to their service and we cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you
