It seems they use a service called dopple pay to check details, etc... and when I put in my details, it decided to take me to ANOTHER site to check my bank, called oohmoolah? Dawg, what the actual? You think I would connect my bank to a website like that? I decided to cancel the application, then it offered me a 12 month contract instead. Fine. But, it's now awaiting payl8r approval. What's the point in this? Like, I know payl8r is legit but, oohmoolah looks like the most sketchy website ever, not only that it looks like it was made 30 years ago. All I wanted was a dang hoover from pay smart home. And then it's like the most dodgy ever application I have ever done. Not only that, with dopple - I had to enter sort code, account number. Despite that, it asked me for debit, credit card info. And barclays, despite banking with them for over 10 years now, even said this is potentially fraud, warning me about it, because they took 0.01 from the account, to see if it was my account. Which I have never ever seen ithis warning in my life.

Once again, not accusing payl8r of being scammers but, they are using weird, dodgy people in my eyes.

Edit: Was denied xD. Honestly, the experience was the weirdest, and longest application ever did.

I’ve had a very frustrating experience with Payl8r regarding a refund that has already been confirmed as issued.

The retailer confirmed that my refund was processed through Payl8r, however weeks later I still have not received the funds. I have now made multiple phone calls and sent emails, each time being told that someone would follow up — which has not happened.

Instead of resolving what is clearly a refund processing issue, Payl8r has attempted to move this into a formal complaints process that can take up to 8 weeks, despite the fact that this is not a disputed transaction. The item has been returned, the refund has been confirmed, and yet I am left without both the product and the money.

There has been a lack of communication, no clear answers, and no ownership of the issue. At no point has anyone been able to provide a clear update on where the funds are or when they will be returned.

I would strongly advise others to be cautious when using this service, as resolving even straightforward issues appears to be unnecessarily slow and difficult.

This company has really helped me to help my clients that are not financially well off and without these they would never of been able to afford even the simplest if treatments so well done for your prompt decisions will highly recommend you

Extremely poor service to a critically ill person, asked if they understand what’s on my notes from a car accident that are seriously affecting my life, 4 surgeries in awaiting more they continue to cause me distress and affecting my health with out a care in the world

Update : I have sent emails and called with no answer they continue to cause problems very dangerous situation they have put my throw staff don’t care and continue to do nothing

These guys won't quit. I have sent them several emails asking for my details to be removed under GDPR I have even had 2 replies with confirmation, and still, 6 months on, I am getting emails.

I never signed up for these emails, and you are in breach of GDPR by not removing my details.

Maybe this will force some higher-up member to take notice of the bad practice.

I got stuck on somethings but when I phoned the staff were great.put me on the right track every thing approved same day great service

My credit score is quite high but I decided to take on a small loan (£110) to help boost my score, so I applied and agreed to pay £30 upfront. After going through all the checks, linking my bank account and other stuff they said they would make a decision within 12 hrs. Next morning I get up and in my emails is a letter from them saying they want me to upload bank statements and they want to do fraud checks. I immediately decided that for basically an £80 loan it was far too much hassle to waste my time with this company. It would be easier to get a mortgage than get a loan with these. I won't be applying again !!.

Pretty good, My credit rating was crap because I've never borrowed anything and have lived outside of the UK for the last 8 years but Payl8r gave me a loan so I could get a high spec laptop on finance, appreciate it, so far no issues, they take payment on the correct day each month, so yeah, business as usual.
The only reason its only a three star rating was because the interest rates were extortionate (expected with no credit history)

Need to change the payment date to a more preferable one. Expecting it not to change until thw payment after this one. But they changed it straight away simple and easy at no extra cost. Took me 5 minutes to talk to someone. 5 star
