I had to make numerous calls regarding my pension over a couple of months. The staff I spoke to were at all times very polite and helpful however I did find that documents requested by post either took longer than stated to arrive or weren,t sent owing to what were described as oversights hence me having to constantly ring and chase things up. When I made a claim via the website it also transpired it had been down for several weeks without anyone noticing which then resulted in having to revert to the postal system
In saying this however and after further phone calls I ultimately received my monies in a problem free manner.
In short I found it was down to me to do the chasing otherwise matters could have dragged on longer.

The member of staff provided information quickly.

I have a pension with Phoenix and they are refusing to hand over my money to me. This situation has taken months and still no resolution or reason given for not releasing my pension. I would not recommend Phoenix as they have no legal right to hold my pension from me.

Unfortunately the situation has not been resolved. I am still waiting to receive the requested surrender proceeds on behalf of my 92 year old mother.

I was miss informed,
Repeatedly asked if I drew out the critical illness section could I continue paying into my policy to enable me to pull the final amount at a later date. I was assured and the young lady checked. (Had me holding on line). Plus called me back and confirmed. Yes continue paying into the policy until I’m ready to finally pull on the policy. Only to find out that was not so!
Not only that money was taken from my bank account for over a year PHOENIX LIFE are now saying they have not had payments. If that was the case why had they not written to me as payments were made from my bank! I’m a pensioner and lost money on a policy I’ve paid into since 1997,
