PitPat is brilliant not only does it track my dog but lets me know how far we have walked, it also keeps a health chart for weight and food.

Velcro straps purchase.

Purchased further velcro straps to secure pitpal to collar. Same was forwarded very quickly and is working well.

It would be an idea to review design of pitpat to avoid the need to remove velcro each time product is recharged.

3rd pitpat tracker faulty

This is now the 3rd pitpat tracker I have changed as they have had a fault with them just as they say my 1 year is up for warranty they have replaced them but only when I have said that I payed good money for supposed too be the best on the market to keep my dog safe and for how much they cost you would expect it too last more than 1 year

Just as a heads-up for the future, we do offer the option to extend your cover by upgrading to PitPat LIFE™ in the app before the standard warranty runs out. It’s usually the best way to keep that peace of mind going long-term.

That said, we really want to make things right. Even though you’re well outside the warranty period now, I can see the team has sent over a free replacement for you. We’re more than happy to do this to get you back out on your adventures!

It relies on a mobile phone signal

It relies on a mobile phone signal, and coverage where I live is poor to non-existent. Hence the device marked my dog as out of contact for 3 hours when she was at home all the time. So how would it work if she was away from the house in an area with equally poor mobile coverage.
On the plus side, customer service was great: they accepted the return and gave a prompt refund.

Excellent. Problem occurred with my 15 month old device. It was replaced with the latest version, free of charge, despite being out of guarantee.

Second to none customer service

Absolutely fabulous communication with customer service when I had on going problems with my dog's Pitpat not connecting over a period of time. The resolution was amazing and I am a very happy customer.

Very good customer support

The initial delivery went astray (Royal Mail delivered to the wrong address) .The customer support is very good.
I have two dogs and its a pity that I can't track both of them at the same time - I have to switch between profiles and there is then a delay.

I'm glad to hear the devices finally managed to reach you. Before heading out on the walk, I would possibly recommend selecting Start A Walk on each of them so that, when you do need to swap map view, hopefully you should find the live-tracking much quicker.

Fast delivery and bought it as uses GPS…

Fast delivery and bought it as uses GPS rather than Bluetooth. I didn’t realise the GPS has very limited or no function if the dog is indoors or in deep undergrowth , nothing about that in the adverts . The map in tracking is very basic albeit when I’ve used it it was accurate . A compass reference would be helpful on the map so that you know which direction to look for your dog rather than just keep moving around until you find the location getting closer . How long does the battery last and once its life is over as all rechargeable batteries have a finale life can it be replaced or is that the end of the device and need to pay £170 fir a new one ?

When you are on the map itself, you should see the compass in the bottom corner. Sometimes this is helpful if your dog is in closer proximity.
In regards to the warranty, we offer a 1 year warranty. Before this expires, you do have the option to extend it with our PitPat LIFE™ in-app purchase. For one dog this is £3.99 a month. This gives you lots of great member benefits, including extended lifetime warranty.
