Dealing with the agent was enjoyable and easy. The booking process was a breeze.

Agents were available during the booking process, which was very helpful. In addition, the responses to several emails were answered prompted. The flights were fine and the accommodations were a range of wonderful to fine. Our first hotel in Evora was fantastic--great location, wonderful facilities. Our apartment-style accommodations at the Vitor were okay, but we did not expect to have to provide basic supplies (paper towels, coffee, etc.). It would have been nice to know this ahead of arrival. We also had a bit of difficulty finding it; one of the direction links took us to a house. The hotel in Lisbon was beautiful, great restaurant and service, but a little out from "downtown".
The final concern relates to the rental car. We had two packages--one for 2 people that included a rental car or train transportation, one for 1 person that also included either a rental car or train transportation. We only needed one car, but were charged for an extra driver, which was an unexpected cost. That was disappointing.

The trip was great, hotels were good and flights were good. Only problem was Guérin rental car. They were scammers. Said I scratched the rim. I never hit anything to damage the rim. Charged me $200 euros. The car behind also got charged for damage to their rim. It is a scam. If I was such a great company that you are I would drop them from your packages.

The representative, Esolda, was incredibly knowledgeable and more than helpful. This was the exact travel opportunity we were looking for and Portuguese getaway came through.

I haven’t gone on my trip yet, but planning it with Ester she had made it very easy. She answered my many questions and made changes until it was right. Now I just have to wait for the trip itself. I’ll keep you pisted

Just arrived from our trip to Madeira and everything was great, flights, car and hotel. The hotel was above our expectations.
Great customer service from Portugal Getaways, answered all our questions.
For sure will be using this service again.

Portugal Getaways was great. Any issue staff always on the ball solving issues for us with just a phone call. But some things out of their control.
We loved everything about our hotel/condo in Vitors Plaza in Portimao- staff, amenities- but we were in Villa B- 304- huge plumbing issues that management should fix- constant smell of sewer- we’d keep our patio doors open most of the day to get rid of smell. Maintenance came several times to fix toilet- they obviously can only do so much- plumbing needs a major overhaul.
Everytime someone flushed we’d hear loud noises day or night. Staff greatly apologetic but it’s out of their hands. We were told we could move but we were there as my husband was recovering from cancer and we wanted to remain relaxed and calm for his sake. Again staff at hotel were exemplary but obviously these issues out of their hands.,

Where’s hotel management or the condo board??? Also because there are privately owned condos- they don’t adhere to noise restrictions. Front desk could do nothing. Our solution to bang on walks early in morning to people who were partying till 2-3 am. Unacceptable behaviour on behalf of condo owners.

The trip itinerary came off without a hitch. Four weeks in the Algarve and 5 days in the Azores. All staff were wonderful to deal with. Would use again.

Good service and reasonably comfortable seats on flight. A mix up with the rental car was corrected the next day with no inconvenience to us. Apartment was comfortable, we had stayed in the same complex two years ago.

Everything went off according to plan, the cost was excellent, the hotels were good.
The cars maybe could have been slightly better suited. The one on Sao Miguel, a Hyundai ilo, struggled on hills with 4 adult passengers. And the Opel we had on Madeira was a bit too low for some parking lots out in the country.

Visitors should know that even though Madeira is tropical, the hilltops where you go for several of the famous levada walks can be cloudy/misty/rainy and windy, and therefore cold, in April. We just had enough clothing.

But overall we had a good time and really enjoyed our trip. It think we will use Portugal Getaways again.

Everything from booking to answering any questions we had were completely done with excellent service! We've now traveled on 3 different trips with Portugal Getaways and all were great trips!

Helped me through the booking process over the phone. After booking they quickly responded to a few subsequent questions I had with very thorough answers and provided further information as requested by me.

I was impressed with how well staff helped meet my vacation needs. Even when things got off track, such as when our plane flight was rescheduled to another day due to bad weather. Your staff kept in touch and rescheduled our planned experiences.

Our overall experience was wonderful. From transfers to hotels to train transfers. Our only complaint was our last stay in Portimao. Hotel not in centre of city for restaurants & sightseeing & hotel food itself was not great. However U ber in Portugal easy. We missed a train stop mostly due to language barrier but Portugal tours acted quickly to help us. I would recommend to travels that are going to Albuferia that u tell them the train station name not to be looking for Albuferia again due to language barrier.

Luis was very quick to respond to all of my questions. He was very patient with my husband and I even when I changed my mind multiple times about excursions and even travel dates. Luis even called me personally to let me me know that prices had changed due to my inability to decide on certain aspects. Fantastic customer service!
