The core course was a very valuable introduction to product marketing. The videos are easy to follow, there’s an abundance of helpful resources, and plenty of additional community events too.

Trying to Steal $2k From Me
I convinced my old company to send me to a Product Marketing Alliance conference last year. Part of the conference attendance was a membership. Buried deep in the terms and conditions, it mentioned auto-renewal, but nowhere in the purchasing process did I realize I was signing up to be automatically charged 2K the following year. I didn't get any warnings and I didn't notice the charge come through for a few days and then saw I had an unusually high credit card balance. I was shocked, but figured it was an easy to fix mistake. This has happened before with services that auto-renew. I reached out and the support team wrote back saying they had warned me (which they hadn't) and that because it's in the Ts&Cs they can't give me a refund. I checked the invoices for both purchases and it says nothing about how to cancel or even that it was an auto-renew. In California auto-renewals have to be super clear and concise and they need to also provide a 100% number to cancel as well as provide a warning 45 and 15 days before charging the card. I got no such warning. I've now filed complaints with their support, reached out to people via the slack channel, and finally disputed the charge with my bank. They've only issued one response and ignored all my other complaints. This has been a terrible experience. Most Americans don't have $400 in savings, $2K is an extreme amount to not double double check before charging. Completely unkind and unprofessional.

To clarify, our membership operates on a subscription basis with auto-renewal, and we take multiple steps to communicate this clearly. For example, the subscription terms are mentioned several times on the checkout page, and customers are required to press a ‘subscribe’ button to complete their sign-up. Additionally, customers must manually check a box to confirm they agree to the terms and conditions, which explicitly state the annual subscription. We also send renewal reminder emails to all members, including yourself, at least 30 days before the payment is taken. This provides ample time to review the membership and cancel if needed.
Regarding California’s auto-renewal laws, these require clear and concise communication, including a written reminder 15–45 days before a payment is processed. We strictly adhere to these regulations, which is likely why your credit card provider did not uphold your dispute.

Enjoyable course with many takeaways
The content in PMA courses is always clear and well-explained. There's a good mix of validating some existing activities and beliefs for newer PMMs, whilst also giving you the tools and ideas that you can either implement asap or mull over for future projects and longer-term improvements. Having life-long access to the course and the materials to refer back to when needed is great.

Great Learning Experience with PMA!
After connecting with a colleague on ways to upskill to becoming a Product Marketer and utilize my continuous learning budget at my company, they recommended to take some courses with Product Marketing Alliance and I'm so happy to have done so! I took the Sales Enablement Certificate course to formalize my current knowledge and I took away tons of key insights! The course was really well paced, the platform is really easy to navigate and looks great, information was easy to digest and a lot of content to take away to use for a lifetime! I could've finished this course sooner, as it's self paced, but took some time with it. I'm looking forward to taking another course with PMA and highly recommend.

The resources are pretty well done and quite useful in the day-to-day life of a product marketing manager. Of course, one size doesn't fit all, but the templates and other resources can be customized based on requirements.
