An utter disappointment
An utter disappointment! The quality provided is a total rip-off for what you pay. The support team is unresponsive and unhelpful. Moreover, the content is not just outdated but completely out of line. I strongly advise against wasting your time and money on their courses.

Taking the Product Marketing Scholar Program was a life changing opportunity, every single module was very impactful, I thought I new it all until I started the program.

It wasn't easy, there was a lot to learn and do but I am glad I passed through it all.
One thing I would love if it can be improved on is the videos, looked more like reading from a screen, I like it when it's natural and looks like one is really teaching.

PMA is a fantastic resource for product marketing pros
What I love most about Product Marketing Alliance is the quality and depth of their Masters courses (this is where I spend most of my time in the platform as I have the Pro+ membership) and the availability of templates courses (I no longer have access to the full repository due to membership, but I did and it was AWESOME). The courses are just the right length, allowing for a deep dive into each topic without feeling overwhelming or like I need to take a bunch of time to complete. A couple hours a week go a long way. So much better than trying to do it for free by scraping through YouTube for quality content that isn't just "free content" trying to get you to subscribe to other programs.

Thoughtfully presented PMM Crash Course
The good:
This is a crash course in PMM that is thoughtfully laid out with some nice bonus footage from PMA conferences and interviews with industry leaders. I learned a ton in general, and learned the PMM lingo.
The bonus footage and exercises really helped drive in the relevance to the topics in the real world and in my own domain of experience. The resources and templates that accompany each module are great starting points for building and thinking about different functions in PMM. There are definitely several ways to implement the learnings into my work straight away!
Areas for Improvement:
I felt there was too much emphasis on sales enablement.
I would have liked to hear or learn more from junior PMMs who are not team leads or deep into their careers as PMMs. That might be what the Slack channel is for though!
I think the video modules would have been more interesting if they were presented by different PMA employees. The content was good, but it's a lot of video content to watch of just one person.

Improved my product marketing knowledge significantly
PMA Scholar Program is the right place for anyone who's looking to improve their knowledge of doing product marketing "the right way." Prior to PMA, I had a pretty myopic view of what great marketing is. It turned out to be a lot more strategic than I thought; a lot more people-oriented. Bryony Pearce's delivery throughout the course was on point. She made every topic so simple, anybody could follow through even if they just heard the word, "marketing" for the first time. We covered topics like GTM, pricing strategy, research, positioning products for success, brand messaging, analysis and much more. The GTM module particularly stood out for me because it taught how to unlearn what I knew (or thought I did) about product/feature launches—and what it actually is about. As a product marketer, collaboration will always be key to making more impact in your job. Collaborate with stakeholders and be in constant communication with your customers. I also enjoyed the live classes we had with Div Manickam (such a great person and I enjoy her newsletters) and the exams. I enjoyed peer-reviewing works from my colleagues as well as the discussions we had in classes. With all these experiences, I can confidently say that I've become a better product marketing manager, and I look forward to implementing all I've learned here to create value for businesses and impact humanity, generally. The PMA Scholar Program is definitely worth your time and every other resource you put into it.
