PSI Study Guide is NOT State Specific
I would not recommend the PSI Study Guides or Practice Tests to anyone taking an insurance exam. They mislead you by saying they know the exam because they created the exam. Then why don't you have the option to purchase state specific material? There's nothing state specific in any of their study material or practice tests, yet that is what's on the exam. Lastly, there were additional topics never mentioned in any of their material-one in particular that had multiple questions that I knew from experience. It may not be required in PA since 2025, but it's worth it to go through a course online rather than waste money on PSI material.

It seemed like the content had not been updated in 20 years. I also hate the question style of "a , b, and c only" since the curriculum sold by AHA specifically describes NO questions with multiple answers. This needs to updated and reconciled with the issuing organization.

I would give 0 if it was an option. They require login no earlier than 30 min for remote testing. Then and only then, there is a software check. You now have only until 30 min after exam scheduled start time to find and remove applications. 45 min on Chat Support twice with no resolution, missed 30 min window and exam was cancelled. 2 hrs total with chat support and one person finally knew what they were doing and removed applications. Waste of time that caused me to miss the exam. Customer service just pushed back to vendor.

I have passed this exam twice now but…
I have passed this exam twice now but your services say I haven't. I know I was solid on 70 - 80 out of 90 of those questions but you say I missed many more than that. Bullocks. You don't show what questions a person has missed to them and this feels like a scam. I was told I was one question short of passing the national exam the first time I took it and three questions short of passing it the second time. There's no way I missed that many. The same exact thing happened to my brother in laws daughter just missing by one then three questions on two consecutive national psi exams. What are the chances? I have also heard online about people having to take this test 50 times to pass it or taking up to possibly 5 years to pass it, that's insane and ridiculous. I have been scoring in the mid - upper 90's on the CE Shop's national practice exams for weeks now. I know I passed it the first two times I took it. I have now paid to test for a third time and there will not a forth. This feels like blatant theivery as you have no proof to share with the test taker of which ones they missed, we are at your whim and have to take your word for it. Nonsense.

To be honest it was very annoying that you buy a practice test and then have to pay like 40 bucks to get more time or more questions. In the bright side it does have some of the questions on the test.

The male staff who checked my ID…
The male staff who checked my ID documents and took my photograph today was extremely rude. His attitude was quite demeaning when requested to repeat his statement when I did not understand. I am well qualified professional. I am able to understand English well. I just had to double check once or twice. But even at the start his attitude was rude and threatening not allowing me to ask any further questions. I really feel sorry for the other candidates if they were to face such an attitude just for requesting to repeat. I can sense racial discrimination in the way he treated me today. Yes, we are foreigners. But we are not worthless to be treated this way. Please consider this feedback and provide appropriate training for the staff to exhibit professional behaviour without exhibiting racial discrimination. The female staff who assisted me today with security check and logging into the test was very kind and helpful. But she refused to tell her name and the name of the other male staff because the policies doesn't allow this. So I am not able to tell the name male staff who treated me with great disrespect today.

Had issues getting into my online test. The secure browser left me loading for 30 minutes, restarted my computer and browser several times. When I reached out they said I was on an unsupported device and have to repay to reschedule my exam.

Improper handling of testing environment
I had a frustrating experience taking a remotely proctored exam through PSI. During the exam, the on-screen calculator was not functioning properly, and I repeatedly tried to explain the issue. Even though I was attempting to get help for a technical problem, the session was terminated because I spoke aloud after being warned to communicate only through chat.
What bothered me most was that the technical issue itself was never really resolved during the exam. The Department later confirmed the termination was considered “valid” under PSI’s rules, but they also stated the attempt would not count as a failed attempt, which suggests they recognized there were legitimate issues during the session.
The process felt overly rigid and stressful, especially in a situation where the testing software was malfunctioning. If you are taking a PSI remote exam, be extremely careful to follow every communication rule exactly, even while dealing with technical problems.

Unfairly kicked out of the test for minor event of someone in another room saying Hi when he came in the next room
Just a few minutes into my test, one of my sons came by un announced and from another room called out “hello “
I just waived at him through a closed glass door and the observer shut off my test saying I had broken a rule.
Now you want me to pay another fee and re schedule.
This is not fair as I could not control what happened and no other words were spoken.
I should not have been thrown out without a warning and I should not have to pay again.

I actually almost messed up really badly. At the beginning of my " test," it said "self-evaluation," and I clicked on it. I didn't even realize I was taking a test. Luckily, I figured it out and passed, but that could have ended differently. Maybe a warning that you are taking a test instead of clicking on "self-evaluation".

Very frustrating experience with PSI customer service. My account was placed on a full block right before my NJ Real Estate exam deadline, even after already being charged multiple times. I spoke with a supervisor who stated the account would be unblocked, but days later I still received no callback or resolution despite multiple calls. It’s stressful when you’re trying to complete an important licensing exam and can’t even schedule it due to account issues with no communication!

PSI system is poor I’m unsure who is operating it behind the computer. I have been rescheduled for a exam twice behind issue that are to no fault of my own, 1st it was ID too blurry , wait on hold, boom the test is greyed out when they answer I expressed can you try to help so I won’t be late , instead of them saying well I can do anything when it’s pass 30mins no matter what, they continue and say” I will help you beat I can” helping is telling me I will have to reschedule in 3-5 days. Second time they got pass the ID did a room check and then the person say there is a logo in the right corner of the webcam contact support. Then you call them on hold 19mins so now once I give my info it’s 5:30. Exam start is at 5:00! Mind yoú I was on at 4:40 pm and everything went too perfect they had to have a issue with the webcam logo and the second call was them seeing my ceiling not my face as the camera on the screen is showing me my face. Somewhere there is a disconnect because it’s showing me one thing and yall another. I just feel like they are taking people money and threatening no refund and you have to wait on they terms . Forget your life and what you have going on…. Oh we will get in touch with you in 3-5 days. Wow ! Customer service or Support should have access to override the test bottom or someone else who can see what transpires in those few mins and determine the absolute best solution. Which should be to override, make another test for later that day or something. They need more help because they are no help. This is a joke to get money I’m thinking at this point. Complete incompetence on PSI
The test center was fine. Finding a location to get my fingerprints taken awful. I went to the place listed on the link. It was closed. I read that could happen but wasn’t sure why as there was no reason for it. Called PSI and they couldn’t help due to technical difficulties. I called today before driving a hour away and was told they couldn’t give me information if it was open but they could send me a link. I drove out and again was closed. I called them back and went through the hoops. I was told they should have done the fingerprints after the test and I needed to pass the exam. I passed the exam. I was told they couldn’t do it when I passed and I would get an email. It never came. Girl asked me if I wanted the link of locations. I lost it and demanded to speak to a supervisor. He started to tell me the same thing g as the first girl. I had to yell to get him to stop talking and listen. Found out they had another location that wasn’t on the list. I demanded the phone number which he gave me after 6 minutes. I called and found the location I went to was closed in AUGUST of 2025. They were aware of the situation but never did anything to correct it.
Complete incompetence.
