This is the second time I’ve used the RAC shop and the second time they haven’t delivered. This time I bought and paid for a dash cam with fitting. I booked the appointment for a time that suited me only to be contacted after paying to say actually it isn’t available and I will have to wait another 3 weeks. This is totally unacceptable when you have to go through a booking system which obviously is a failure. Don’t be fooled into thinking you’ll get your item or the service when you think you will. I’m still waiting……

Didn’t end Up needing the mats so ended up cancelling but customer service was prompt and friendly

When you're scrolling items, they flash a message saying they guarantee it will fit. I bought something and on its arrival found it didn't fit, contacted them and the reply was it's tough, that their terms & conditions state they don't guarantee anything.

False advertisement, won't use them ever again and certainly don't recommend them.

Easy enough website and delivery as expected with minimal packaging. Product does the job; fits well, smells of rubber but i expect thats only initially.

After a couple of incidents while driving recently I decided to buy a dash cam. I went to a local garage where they recommended this product but their fitting fee was too much for me to consider. I checked the RAC website for recommendations and discovered I could have that same product fitted at my home for a price I could afford. The booking process was easy and just a few days later a technician came and fitted our dash cam. Fantastic service all round.

My father-in-law and I have always ordered our Thinkware dashcams from the RAC Shop every three years, and each time I’ve been impressed by the excellent service and competitive pricing. This was our fifth purchase altogether.
Mat from customer service always goes above and beyond to accommodate our booking and fitting requirements. The installations are consistently carried out by a highly professional and knowledgeable team.

Product information was clear on website, ordering process was easy and delivery was fast.
The cover fits my car well and is of good quality. The weight and elasticated seam keep it in place in windy conditions. This is good value for money.

Easy to buy the dash cam I wanted and choose the installation date.

Great communications with the installation company & they were able to install the dash cam two days earlier than the date originally booked.

New car & I didn’t want the hassle of installing a dash cam myself, I also wanted a home installation. I live in a rural part of Cumbria but this wasn’t an issue - I had tried 3 so called ‘nationwide’ installers without success.

The installation took an hour, including been shown how to connect the dash cam to my phone and a walk through of the app controls.

The installer also explained how to preserve data on the SIM card in the event of an accident.

Competitive pricing but fairly slow delivery. Product working just fine though.

On 13th May I ordered a battery + fitting service for my car from the RAC shop.
On 15th May I went to the garage that was supposed to fit the battery (Partworn tyre Warehouse in Timperley), but they told me that since their only contract with the RAC shop was for tyre fitting and NOT batteries, they could not install the battery in my car. I spent almost 1 hour speaking to the mechanic at the garage and the RAC shop customer service representative on the phone, and at some point we even had a 3-way conversation over the speakerphone. Both were very polite and professional, but the issue remained: I could not get the battery fitted, because the garage that I booked on the RAC shop website could not provide the service advertised and sold by the RAC shop itself. RAC shop offered a £10 Amazon voucher as a gesture of goodwill, which I declined as I was not looking for a cheap freebie, but to getting the service that I had paid for. RAC then decided to cancel my order and process a refund, which might take up to 6 working days.
Clearly something went wrong on either the RAC shop or the garage side, but in any case my contract was with Colewood Automotive Ltd. (the company behind the RAC shop). Right now I am £207 out of pocket through no fault of my own, apart from having purchased goods and services advertised by RAC Shop. Fellow customers beware...

Bought some car mats, didn’t fit despite them having exact model of my car.
Mostly ignored but eventually Told to post back at my expense, as item was not as described seller should cover cost, told rac shop this back to being ignored.

Came quickly and was easy to find when searching up about what we needed for a family holiday. Made something that was quite daunting feel easy and stress free

Re. Where are my Audi A3 car mats?

At the time of order, the delivery time quoted was up to 5 working days. I placed the order on the 21st, which means it has already been 5 working days and I have not received even confirmation of despatch from you. Indeed, your chosen courier's tracking information confirms that it is still waiting to receive the item. I expected better from the RAC. I want to know when I will receive the order. If you are not sure or if it is likely to take beyond this week, then I want to cancel the order and receive a prompt and full refund.

Purchases are actually bought from RS Connect / Collective Automotive who have a trust pilot rating of 1 . They were awful and RAC were of no help. You are not buying from RAC even though it’s their shop and their shop app. I do not recommend because of this.
