Beyond Rude Checkout Experience Rona North Vancouver 1st street

I went into the store to get some spikes. I took them to the front counter and because there were no markers to write the code down, I had taken the number in my phone to give to the cashier. Approaching the cashier I greeted her with a good morning which was returned as a blank stare. She took the spikes to weigh them and I offered the code to her. "I know, I know, I know, I know" in a snippy tone was her response. I replied I was just trying to be helpful to which she again reiterated the "I know, I know, I know". I paid for my purchase and without her as much saying thank you for shopping or anything else. I don't look for a cashier to fall over the counter gushing welcomes and thankyous. I would expect that Rona would have a standard for customer interaction given the changing landscape of shopping on line and the demise of brick and morter store fronts. This woman was rude and created nothing but a negative experience. I will be following up with the store management as well. I would trust they would want to be aware of this in order to follow up with the employee to ensure she is aware of her actions and behaviours and have an opportunity to learn from this and l hope she would learn some new skills to bring the customer experienc on the positive side of the ledger.

July 30 at 9:30am in RONA+ Maple store, I was holding my purchase and cash to the check out area, One woman set front of the self check out machine, At that time no anther people in this area. I try to ask the her where I can pay cash, Because I know the self check out dons't receive cash. The woman said no cash here, I asked again where can pay cash, She said here no cash card only, I replied: I don't have card only have cash, Few second later she walk to the casher area just beside the self check out machine, Shout to me : next time you have to come here pay cash, I was shocked and angry. Why your DON'T tell me when I asking you I'm paying cash, Why your DON'T tell me your can help me pay the cash, Why you give me dirty face when I'm asking you. How do I know your are the casher, How do I know which machine can pay cash and no people standing in the casher area. I don't know what kind company is , I don't know what kind employee you're work with. I would never go to the RONA again.

Pire service a la clientèle!!!!

Je vous invite d'éviter le service à la clientèle CSS RonaBrand. Le plus pire service que j'ai trouvé au Québec jusqu'à présent. J'ai voulu commandé deux cartouches pour deux robinets Uberhaus. Quand j'ai posé la question sur les cartouches désirés, ce service m'a demandé d'envoyer des photos. Quand j' ai envoyé les photos RonaBrand m’a demandé d'envoyer les informations sur le produit.
Quand je l'ai envoyé les informations sur le produit il m'a demandez encore une fois d'envoyer les photos. Il a fait un ping poing avec moi. Ils sont incapables de trouver une solution. Je suis dégoûté par le service que j'ai reçu.

Excellent shopping experience

I received exceptional service during my last visit to Rona, Brantford, Ontario.
Pragnya was very pleasant, extremely helpful, and sought out the answers to all my questions. Malcom also assisted, and he was exceptional. He expertly address my concerns. What a remarkable customer-service-oriented team!!
Malcom helped me as I exited the store by carting & loading a heavy dehumidifier into the trunk of my vehicle, which I truly appreciated.
Kudos to Rona Brantford for employing stellar customer service reps, who ensured I'll continue to specifically shop at their store.

The worst place to shop! Avoid at all costs!

I placed an online order on July 14, 2024, to be delivered by truck. An employee called me on the 15th and scheduled the delivery date for the 18th. I was advised someone would call me on the 17th to let me know the window delivery time. I had to come in the store to check why I got no phone call around 6 PM on the 17th. I was told I would receive a call on the morning of the 18th. I came into the store around 9 AM on the 18th to make sure the delivery would happen. I was advised that the order was en route and that someone should call me shortly. No one ever did, so I called the store and figured out the delivery had been moved to the 19th. I entered the store around 3:30 PM to determine why no one called me. I talked to the department manager, who said the warehouse messed up the order and would be delivered on the 24th or 25th. This is ridiculous! I was given three different delivery dates within half an hour. I wanted to cancel the order, but the manager said she'd sort it out and that the order would be delivered on the 19th. After 30 minutes of waiting, the manager told me that the order would be delivered in the morning. I returned to the store on the 19th around 11 AM because I had not heard back from anyone about the delivery, which the manager had promised. I had to wait 20 minutes to figure out that just a door would be delivered at 1 PM but everything else. I cancelled the order.
Despite my initial disappointment, I decided to give the store a second chance. I placed an order for Express Delivery, expecting it to be delivered on the same day as the website promised. However, an hour later, a store associate called to inform me that the delivery would not happen today, in a rude manner, because I had placed the order after 10AM. The website and the store associate's information were in direct contradiction, leaving me even more disappointed, confused, and frustrated. I requested the associate to cancel the order, but she only cancelled the delivery fee, not the items in the order. I had to call the customer service 1 800 number to cancel the entire order, further adding to my disappointment.
Despite bringing my business to this store, I was met with a disappointing lack of coordination. Each time I interacted with the staff, I received different, often contradictory, information. This inconsistency left me in a perpetual state of frustration and confusion. It was evident that the staff had no clear understanding of the situation, which only added to my dissatisfaction.
After enduring such a frustrating experience, I feel compelled to warn others. To save yourself from similar headaches and trouble, I strongly advise avoiding this store at all costs. From now on, I am willing to go the extra mile and drive a bit longer to another store with a different brand, rather than subject myself to such poor service again.

I ordered a very expensive solarium…

I ordered a very expensive solarium from Rona online. Received the product and two panels were damaged. Contacted Rona immediately And was told that they would order replacement parts to be shipped directly to me. Every time I ask as to when I will receive, they tell me once they know they’ll let me know. That’s no answer. It’s been a month and a half and they provided me no information. This is some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced certainly won’t be ordering them online. They ignore most of my emails and when they do answer, it’s just will let you know when we know. Go elsewhere.

Never again

I bought an expensive shower glass door system from them brans new - however upon installation the soft close feature is not working at all which is why we purchased this model - spent about $1K.

After several calls into Rona CSS - NOTHING AT ALL.

Trying yo get replacement parts sent to me is like going to the dentist - painful.

commandes en ligne inutile !!

La gestion des commandes en ligne au Rona Anjou est d’une inutilité crasse !!! Non seulement il n’y a jamais personne au comptoir web, le bouton « je suis là » pour la livraison au stationnement ne sert strictement à rien, la disponibilité de la commande ne respecte pas le délai de 24h annoncé sur le site web mais, cerise sur le sundae … on finit par aller chercher les articles directement dans le magasin la plupart du temps pour aller plus vite !!!

I went in to order carpet

I went in to order carpet. Number 1. I pick the swatch I want to see on the roll and the keeps stopping at the wrong carpet. It wasn't even on that rack...I could see it was on the next rack over...Number 2. Very little selection. Number 3. I was given ALL the wrong information about having it installed as well. I was told someone would call me back. Number 4. When noone called me back I called and they knew nothing about me being there and then I was told I had to pay $80 to get someone to come and do an estimate and if I didn't like the estimate I would get my $80 back....bah! Ya right! Number 5. Huge language barrier...You can't even call back customer service to complain because you get the Same!!!
TOTAL INCOMPETENCE!!!

When you return the goods and don’t have receipt, they punish you very bad and choose the lowest price since 6 months ago and issue just Rona credit. They do not return customer money even you have other proof. I did not see never, ever in Costco or Homedepot ….

Went into Rona/Scarborough and discovered that the further I went into the store the hotter it became.
How does anyone work in this environment?
I had a hard time finding an employee to help me.
I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone!!

Pricing is good, but BEWARE OF RONA's incompetence!

I ordered 2 garage door openers to be delivered from a southern Toronto store to our southern Toronto home, about 3 km away. Somehow, the order ended up shipping from Broussard, Quebec (!) and it's taken 5 days for the shipper just to arrange for the products to be picked up. The products will thus arrive at least 1 week (!) later, which puts their overall timing at 2 weeks. These are insanely incompetent people, so, of course, I'll never deal with them again. BEWARE OF THESE INCOMPETENT PEOPLE!

Went in to order blinds and what a nightmare from the beginning. Nobody to take ordernor help untill 20 minutes later. I was told to call the following day and no answer. I had to call head office and they couldn't get ahold of anyone in the store. A few days later manager called to apologize and asked me to email him when I am available to come in to place order, and not surprised that my email went unanswered for over a week.
Advice is stay away absolutely unprofessional

Today is June 11 2024, still no shed and no credit every time I call I get a different person with a different story
Thank you Rona for using my money for about 2 months, I purchased from you thinking Canadian but it’s not worth it

If we could rate RONA a zero star we…

If we could rate RONA a zero star we would. We ordered a brick fire pit online and received an automated email thanking us for the order and confirming that they will reach out in 72 hours with delivery details. (Which in itself is a ridiculously long timeframe in this day and age). We waited the 72 hours and in the meantime dug up our backyard (40 foot circumference circular area) in preparation for the fire pit entertaining space. No call and no email from RONA after 72 hours. We called them - apparently our order shows as being cancelled - ummmm what?? The young man on the phone said he’d look into it - he called back about an hour later - said they DO have the order but can’t deliver until next Tuesday (that’s a full week after we placed the order) - we asked to pick it up tomorrow. Then the Manager got involved - to do that they have to cancel the order and we have to place the order online again this time without delivery selected. We’re done with the hassle - cancelled the order entirely and ordered the exact same brick fire pit from CLS Landscaping and they’re delivering tomorrow. Won’t be shopping here again. Get with the program RONA. You’ve got too much competition that provides better service.

Don’t count on Rona fulfilling your order

Last Wednesday I ordered two deck storage boxes from my local Rona store through the Rona website, after speaking with the store and confirming they were in stock in the store. The person at the store assured me they were and that I should order them online and shipping would be included in the purchase price and that Purolator would pick them up and deliver them to me the next day. I am about 45 minutes from the store.
Well, they didn’t arrive on Thursday as promised. The Purolator tracking number they sent me showed that they were picked up in Pickering and taken to Etobicoke but would be delivered to me on Friday. They weren’t. Why would product shipped from Bancroft to Woodview (40 miles away) instead come from a distribution center nearly 200 miles away?
I called Purolator and got absolutely nowhere. They had no explanation or excuse for why they weren’t delivered but told me they would be delivered on Monday. I needed these things prior to the weekend. Purolator doesn’t deliver on Saturdays or Sundays, they told me.

Well, they didn’t arrive on Monday either.

I’ve escalated to a supervisor at Rona and they have done absolutely nothing other than to refer me to the Purolator tracking site, which is useless. It still shows that they will be delivered on Friday May 31st even though it is now Monday night June 3rd. Rona’s customer support operation is in Tunisia and they have been completely useless in getting to the bottom of where this shipment is and when it will actually be delivered. Purolator was even worse.

Amazing how completely incompetent and apathetic these two companies are when it comes to the most basic aspects of customer service.
