Rug Doctor is so easy to hire, to collect and to use. I cleaned all my carpets, sofa and even the kitchen floor on one bottle of standard carpet cleaner in about 4 hours of work.
Ive used it before when my daughter changed flat at University. Abaolutely brilliant

Hiring and picking up the machine was easy and didn’t have any problems, that started when I got it home. I opened the tank to fill it with water and the most rotten smell hit me, it smelt like rotten eggs and baby sick so I spent about half an hour cleaning the whole machine and underneath where the brush bar was as that was disgusting too before I could use it.
I was on two minds about whether to use it or not and against my better judgment I ‘cleaned’ my carpet with it. Afterwards my whole room smelt musty and I had to throw my lounge rug away. The carpet dried out overnight and I had to go over it again with my own vax carpet cleaner just to get rid of the smell. I emailed rug doctor customer service asking for my money back and never received a reply. I’ll never hire a rug doctor machine again and I’ll never recommend them to anyone

It was easy , fast , no hassles , collect the item and once the job is done just return

The process from booking, collecting it, using the rug doctor and returning it was effortless.

No help in Tesco about how to return - staff have zero training
Very time consuming
It takes tons of water just to do a small carpet and still didn’t clean brilliantly
I should have just got in a professional with a proper industrial machine

So simple from the time of booking the cleaner , collection , use of and returning it . It's a tad heavy so getting it into the boot of your car may be s challenge but it cleans really well and far better than any dry cleaning processes .

Looked good whilst cleaning, but when dry not much difference!

It would have been 5 out of 5 but we had to clean the machine before we could clean our carpets. We got the hand held cleaner extension but never used it. Thank you.

Excellent customer service, great machine works as it has illustrates. The instructions are easy to follow and itt works perfectly.

Not hugely impressed. We collected the machine easy enough but when got home we noticed very bad smell and then machine full of leftover hair (probably both human and dog). When filled with liquid and started using it the smell was awful for at least 1st full tank used. Does nobodycheck these? People are so selfish and ignorant these days not considering next user. The quality of the clean could also be better I thought such a machine would have more power to clean well but it was just average. Return was quick and easy. We left the machine in much better state than we got it.

Such a great machine left my carpets like new along with my sofa .. Highly recommended this..From booking it picking it up was really easy , cleaning the machine is simple.

It took me a long time to complete the document online and no support provided in the shop. but generally once done all went well.

Couldn't retrieve machine. Instructions on outside differ from the video: "Input locker number 2" which I did + code. Had to make another trip to store to open.
Machine is very heavy and cumbersome. A lighter Vax carpet cleaner would suit most houses.

Easy to book and easy to use

Fantastic machine, it really cleaned out my carpet. I was worried about the possibility of carpets smelling after use as I read this in lots of reviews prior to booking, but I made sure to go over my carpets with the vacuum after spraying, and left windows open. The hand held tool is also great for cleaning the stairs and corners and nooks.
My experience would be 5 stars but the customer service at the Range Lady Bay in Nottingham was terrible, it was my first time using Rug Doctor and found the store arrangement and signange confusing. I asked different staff members to simply show me where the keypad was and everyone including the manager simply said they had nothing to do with Rug Doctor. They could have been more helpful… the equipment is in their store.

The website was a nightmare for getting me to pay for it! Also the one phone number advertised for calling them was out of date. I hired it for 24hours and it took out a few small stains but overall didn't really look like it did much my carpet and stairs. I won't be hiring one again. I also had to spend an additional £16.99 for carpet cleaner and didn't even need it all so feels like a waste. Overall not happy and won't use it again

I have used Rug Doctor so many times and the machine does a great job. Using the recommended cleaning lotion helped greatly to remove stubborn stains. The process of booking the machine is easy and the pick collection is great as it was local to me.

Great, no problem

Mixed experience.
We collected a carpet cleaner and accessories for our local Tesco store, which whilst clean had a faulty hose connection resulting in a fairly substantial water leak - so slightly frustrating. However, on positive note, their customer service dealt with the issue promptly by offering an alternate machine or refund.
